I never knew of this place. What a view from the roof top.. its a must visit place for the roof top experience specially for the sun down. Friends or Family or a Date.. all would be a hit. Drink and Food have a good menu. But would be there again and again just for the view.Even the ground floor place is nice and feels like a open cafe at the beach..... Go for it...

Cold food was served after waiting for an hour. The rooftop sea view was good but service was very bad. Taste of food was average.

Great location. The terrace dining is worth the view itself , sadly we couldnt have dinner there as it was raining . But the food is stellar - everything we ordered was fantastic , special mention for the mutton chap. Even the pomfret fillet , the aloo tukk, was great. They have their own version of the masala peanuts which was good too. Definitely recommended for the food If you are around there.

The view from up here of the harbour is great. Service wasnt top notch. Waiter came thrice in 5 mins to ask if we had finalised on an order, but didnt ask us if we needed water. Food is okay tasting and price is okay considering the view premium.

This is one of the best hotels in the harbour area of Gateway of India and there is small Bar and restaurant above the top of the floor and its beauty is such a calming place that even if you are exhausted then you will get great vibes... When I visited here last time there were less ferries and small boats but now it has changed that many more ships are available here and view is awesome.

Best place for sunset by the sea

The hotel is nice and the open terrace is the only reason I prefer to visit the place but but but the service is pretty slow!They dont have PLAN B if there is drizzling. We went for a bday celebration and it started drizzling a bit, they had no option and with limited staff they cudnt properly serve on time. We had to leave after starters and move to a different place nearby for dinner.

Excellent place to stay. Right opposite to the promenade giving you breathtaking view of Arabian sea, coast and jetties. Clean linen & well kept bathrooms. High level of hospitality standard shown by each of the staff. Friendly and courteous attendants at restaurant. Healthy spread of buffet breakfast. Lovely neighborhood gives you an experience of Mumbais heart.

Best sea facing hotel at colaba since many years great hospitality and good service too

The importance positive thing about this place is its location! You get to sit on the rooftop and see beautiful sea and Gateway of India. Rarely you see such beautiful places in Mumbai. View from here is amazing. One negative thing about this place is the service is very slow and lethargic. You have tell them again again to serve you water and remind about your order. They pay more attention to foreigners. Sad but true! Food is delicious. Sometimes you have to walk up and down if the lift isnt working. The night I had gone for dinner, I did good cardio by climbing the staircase coz loft wasnt working. Overall a good place if view is the only thing matters to you.

Went to marina upper deck wanted to visit this place long time ago. Visited this place on friends birthday to suprise her. Its a Rooftop restaurant and the view is outstanding. You can see the gateway of India , Taj and Oberoi hotel and a full sea view . We just wanted to chill around for sometime and wanted to see the sunset. So we order :1) Masala Peanuts Chaat : Peanuts with onion and Tomato with lemon juice above it with some spicy in it.2) Kiwi Green Mango : This mocktail was thick shake which had a combination and kiwi and mango so it was great to have and tasty too3) Virgin Mojito : My favourite mocktail Mojito is all time favourite and it was perfect as I like have it and sweet and tangy tasteGreat place to be after 6 pm worth visiting with your love once

If I could give this 0 stars I would... DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!Great location yes... but we ended up in a room which had a LIVE COCKROACH in the bed!The room was very dirty, stains on the walls, dirt around the bed, sweat stains of previous guests on the inside of the pillowcase... No lock on the door, mattress size very thin on a wooden frame for support... I could go on.STAY AWAY.

Went to this hotel tonight. Was told downstairs cafe on roof was open. Got to cafe and was then told that as I was a foreigner I wasn’t allowed to be there. This is racial discrimination. My wife is Indian. I’m white. The Indians at the cafe could have arrived from overseas yesterday and would have had more chance of being carriers. We have been in India for over 14 days, and well over the infectious stage and in perfect health. He pointed to a piece of paper they had on a board and claimed this was from the Indian Ministry of Health banning foreigners. As far as I can tell there is nothing banning foreigners from cafes. We have been to many cafes over the last few days and have had no problems. I also believe it is illegal to spread false rumours re the virus which I think is what these people have done. Luckily we got a photo of his sign and will be submitting it to the authorities tomorrow. Such a pity as most Indian businesses are so nice.

Love the ambience, but is a bit costly. Bayview close by is a more affordable alternative.

Stayed at the Sea Palace in October, my partner and I loved it. The room was fine, but ultimately it was the staff and location that made it great. Highly recommend their rooftop bar, the views are amazing. The Staff are attentive and friendly. Would stay there again.

The location of the hotel was really good as it was next to The Gate Way of India and Taj Hotel. Hotel has 2 restaurant, one on the rooftop and another in the front- both facing the sea. Hotel entry and elevator will make you feel that the hotel is old but rooms are fairly upgraded. Staff is really polite and quick in service. Breakfast was a bit disappointing because of less number of items but food quality was fine. If I would ever come back to Colaba, I would definitely book it for its true value for money and location.

A very courteous hotel . It has been revamped and still going on. Really worth the money. U get good sea view rooms. Staffs are very courteous and service was really good. Breakfast menu can be concentrated a little , but the dinner waa really good.

The location is , what else you can ask for !!!! amazing... this hotel also hosts a cafe within the premises... everything was all right but prices are a bit higher...I booked the deluxe room sea facing which was spacious and wi - fi was nice with good speed... we could see gateway of India right from our room window and colaba causeway 100 mts .4 starts just coz of rates a bit high .

The best thing about the hotel is its location. Situated at stone s throw distance from Gateway of India and The Taj Mahal Hotel, you get the best views, the best crowd and the best time spent in Mumbai.I had booked deluxe rooms which had a sea side views, you dont want to miss that... and had good service delivered. some basic pointers, buy water bottles from outside if you need extra, breakfast can be improved, I have seen much better in the same price.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL...DO NOT RECOMMEND. This is the worse hotel I ever stayed in. I am actually writing the review while I still have few days left on my vacation with this **** hotel. This is my first time in Mumbai, India and I had the worse hotel experience. I rate it less than one star for poor services, room and non cooperative staff. They also don’t have a set prices. I ordered water bottle few times and everytime they bring a bottle they had different prices for the same bottle. This hotel is great at cooning ppl. The bathroom flush didn’t work, if you needed service they don’t show up until 6-7 hrs later..you have to call them over and over just to get your request completed.This hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel, not even 1 star hotel..it’s terrible!! And I stayed in their best room (supposedly)

The waiters here urgently need a lesson in Hospitality. It had been 20 mins and no waiter would take our order and would stall. And this is despite requesting 3 different waiters to take our orders. It was bordering on arrogance.I’d totally recommend this place if horrendous service is the only thing you’d like served to your table.

Had lamb shanks, grilled fish and hummus with pita bread. All items disappointing. Getting service attention is also a challenge as the stewards are always far from serving area. However the open air and sea view ambience is amazing.

I have stayed at this hotel before and knew it has some good rooms. This time I realised it has some bad rooms too. If all you want is a sea view then this place is fine. But if you also want a room with fresh linen, toiletries and modern amenities then maybe look elsewhere, if you don’t get into their new rooms. My problem was that for the rent I paid getting a toothpaste, at least on request, is a given, but this hotel didn’t even have that. I have to step out late in the night to get one. This room has certainly seen better days. The tiles are cracked, the windows dusty, the toilet fittings rusty and everything else bare. Certainly not worth the money my company paid.So if booking here ensure you get a room in the new block, or find a better place.

Service is good.. overall good place in COLABA. near gateway of india.walkable distance to causeway and very famous bade miya.. all the night life in mumbai is enjoyable . And last but not least value for money ..Not too heavy on pockets. I will be happy to visit it again

Service is awful, asked for a simple tea bag which had to go through 6 different people even though each person told me they were bringing it and in the end had to go down to the reception to collect a mere teabag after 1 hour of waiting. None of the staff understand English making it extremely hard to communicate. The rooms are extremely outdated and all the linens had marks on them. They never cleaned the floors and my shower overflew very often. I cannot recommend this place especially for the price. Definitely no value for your money.

This hotel is locate beside the great Taj hotel opposite to the gateway of India. Construction of this hotel is of British era and it is good for partying late nights by sitting on roof top and njoying sea

This is a nice hotel...It is in colaba...The most important advantage is its location...It is right in the middle of all happening places....The single rooms are small...But that is enough for personal stay...If u take deluxe rooms that is better...If u take sea view rooms that is best...They provide alcohol drinks in front of hotel and in roof top cafe...Daily house keeping is good...Its located just near Taj...

Its a candle light dinner experience but too dark... Hope they work on dim lights a bit. It also allows smoking which again is not desirable while having dinner. Wont be visiting anytime soon. Food was tasty.

Spent a lovely evening at this roof top hotel over looking the harbour. We had the good fortune of viewing a wedding ceremony taking place at the venue below.The food was good and the service efficient, friendly and not too intrusive - I think this is because they arent over staffed like many establishments in India.

Heritage...!!!!Sunday n public holidays over crowded........but on other day peace of mind on boat.....there are speed boat which cost around 15k......n cruises as well ...one may find about different activity to give surprises to loved ones

I went to Marina Upper Deck, a rooftop restaurant. The Ambience is good as it is opposite to the Gateway of India. Food is okay. I tried limited options in veg. The place is very quiet. But I wont recommend this place for a good rooftop dinner.

Well we just arrived couples of hours back and so far everything is excellent and hope it will be same till we checkout....Well now couples of points I would like to mention here as last moment it was checking out....I was impressed with room quality rest all should be improved House keeping team should more awareness of there service standard, Restaurant team were very supportive but quality of breakfast should improve.....the major disappointment was WiFi was very slow you cant do any business communication.....I stayed with my family for 7nights and during checked out I misplaced my door key and front office manager Mis Palak insist me to pay for the key which was really disappointing its not because I have to pay Rs 200 its all about how you approached to a guest was not appropriate manners when a guest can pay you 10K per day he can also pay another 200 but it was really make not to go again.with this hotel unless they send me a apologists letter.Rest all is wellThank you

Hotel location is just opposite the sea which provides a beautiful view. The food available at the hotel is very good but the service is average. This hotel is just a few meters from Taj Hotel. The rooms are good and carpeted or wooden floored. But the toilets are very clean and elegant.

One of the hotel near India Gate where people can stay and enjoy beautiful view of sea. There is a restaurant at ground floor but the main attraction is the roof top Cafe. People can enjoy the amazing view of Arabian sea while having coffee and chatting with friends.

Very convenient location, hop, skip and jump from India Gate, Taj Mahal hotel and Colaba Causeway and its many cafes and shopping outlets. We had a sea view room, comfortable beds, sofa, Tv, coffee table and seats and daily newspapers. It was booked by a friend for his wedding entourage, believe our rooms were INR 5K per night inclusive of taxes. I believe they were in the process of renovating it, some rooms were brand new and modern and our side of the building had older rooms.

A nice classic hotel. Good food and service is decent. Price is affordable too. If you want to have a home-like experience with good sea view and cosy location, this place is recommended.

This is among the poorest hotels I have ever visited, its a very old structure with tinny rooms and very old u elevator of 4 people. Some rooms have no windows and no AC making the air in the rooms too heavy to tolerate. The beds are small ones like 2.5 *6 feets and they are separated. The beddings were not clean and the room was not well kept. Restaurant has good food and good environment that can fool you to think the hotel is also good but to find out there are very poor enironment inside. Customer care is good but slow.Personally I wont recommend this hotel as the first option unless you are out of options then you may go for it.

The rooms were neat and tidy . Staff was cooperative . View was awesome . The best part was the morning breakfast while njoying the sea view. I would definately recommend this place for those who love to enjoy the sea view.

This hotel is located just next to the Gate way of India and they have marvellous view from their roof top. So one can enjoy their time in small groups. May be couples or at max group of 4 people. But beside view, nothing else is appreciable about this place. Service is pathetic, food quality is average. Overall the complete package its about the view from the roof top.

Beautiful hotel and surrounding with sea view

The terrace restaurant offers one of the most gorgeous views in Bombay. The food is strictly average but the staff is warm and accomodating. At the end of the day, one of the best uses of an afternoon I can think of is to knock down a couple of cold beers while looking down at the yachts, and the radio club and Taj hotel completing the panorama.

It is an average category hotel.Room size was too small and not at all spacious.AC was very old and noisy.Located at Colaba seafront and the gateway of India.Breakfast spread is also minimum.They don’t have honey in breakfast.Ideal for short stays and for travellers.

Hotel ok for the price. Room we had was clean and modern but small. Seaside rooms looked really nice. Staff ok but not very interested. Rooftop bar didnt serve beer although on the menu. Breakfast nice and combination with frontside terrace terrific.

It is a sea facing Hotel with a rooftop restaurant. The atmosphere was very peaceful and youll find very decent people on the floor. The restaurant is currently not serving alcohol but one may still choose to dine here for view. The food although wasnt very good but we did like some Chinese options.

The booking process was a challenge since I tried booking on a new portal called NightStay but the prices were unbelievably low so I called in to confirm with the hotel reception. However, on repeatedly calling the hotel there was no response. I ended up booking the stay on Agoda which I had used in the past too with excellent experience. The room booked was an ocean view room hoping that it was a plush room. However, it was a very average room with a rather budget experience than anything like what was expected. The package included food (breakfast). Since we were not to keen to step out that night we ended up eating at the Raaga restaurant at the premises. The food was okay but the chicken was heavily tenderised and not palatable at all. The other food options were okay. Breakfast was a simple but acceptable affair. The hotel extended us the courtesy to check-out late compensating for the late check-in the previous evening. On the whole the hotel takes tremendous advantage of their envious and one of a kind location at the Strand Road Apollo Bunder near the gateway of India. I doubt a terribly harsh or very adulating review will affect them to change their service remarkably.

Sorry Pals!!!Since New rules & regulations have been implemented for Roof top restaurants after Kamala Mills Tragic incident.This place has become another junkyard.Only those who had visited this place before 27th December 2017, can feel the pain of losing this for their all time best restaurants.Now, Service is Pathetic.You need to order a chapati/basic simple bread atleast 20 min before a you finish your existing stuff.Its true guys, because they had to shift their kitchen to ground floor.You are no fool, Rest you can estimate.Now, they dont serve liquor.Again same issue, no emergency exit.Seems like Theyre are on a cost cutting spree, they have changed all of their staff.The only awesome thing that remained is the incessant view of the Mumbai Harbor coastline, next to the Great grand Taj & Gateway of India.Still Ill go again to this place, just to feel the view. Its so romantic in evening, with candle light dinner.One more good thing, they still serve the Mocktails & good options in Starters.Its not anymore a place for those who believe in service.

Just love the place with great view which is difficult to get in a place like Mumbai and the best thing along with the location even food is good👍
