Where should I begin. Fantastic views, amazing service and heavenly food. Every dish we ordered was fantastic. The lamb kabab was insane, and so was the dahi bhalla icecream with Chaat. The biryani was some of the best Ive had. Totally worth the money. The chocolate samosa for dessert was an amazing finisher to a great meal.

Nice ambience !! Extremely good service. Had asked for a sea view table when i booked but did not get one . The portions are very very small & nothing over the top . Had the herb paneer tikka chilli burrata which was quite good . The beetroot gaulati with wasabi hummus was ok but had only 2 pcs in it . For the price tag of 1125 + taxes its was not worth it at all 🙄 . In main course we had the Kofta with fenugreek sauce which was very crispy kofta with a different sauce 👌 . The paneer makhanwala was average . The dal maharani was pretty good . The breads were regular but good quality like all the other restaurants . For desert we had the paan kulfi which was delicious 😍 . Over all a good but expensive dining experience which did not impress me at all . We landed up paying 9500 between 3 of us without drinks 😱 which did not take it to that level as per the price paid . But thats what a michelin star at a five star would cost you i guess 🤔 . Would i go there again ? ~ No thank you !! 😊

I have dined at Ziya during all of my three prior visits to Mumbai. I have even taken a cooking course at Ziya with my wife during one of those visits. During this trip, I convinced my colleague to join me for dinner at Ziya.We opted for the seven-course Non-Vegetarian Gourmand Menu. We decided to kick off dinner with a gin and tonic each. Four different kinds of papadum were then placed on our table with three kinds of chutneys. The first course was a Wild Mushroom Khichdi with Makhni ice cream and White Tomato Soup. The second course was a Home-smoked Tandoori Salmon with a Ginger Chili Lobster. Moet-Chandon champagne was paired with the fish and lobster.Third, was a salad dish: Sesame-Honeyed Cod with Avocado chop-chop kachumbar. It was a light dish - a welcome break from the savoriness of its predecessor. A 2010 Riesling from Domaines Schlumberger, Grand Cru, Kitterle was poured to accompany the salad. Then, the Saffron sorbet - a welcome break! After the culinary hiatus, we were served Mustard Chicken with Tadka Dahi and Tomato Kut. Once more, one’s senses were immediately filled with the multiple flavors and aromas of this dish. A 2015 Sauvignon Blanc from The Broken Fishplate, D’Arenberg, McLaren Vale, Australia was poured earlier into a fresh wine glass in anticipation of the arrival of the chicken. Regrettably, there was a problem: when I swirled the Sauvignon Blanc to try to take note of its bouquet, I noticed that there was debris floating. Upon closer inspection, there were by my count six dead flies floating in the wine. While this was very upsetting, I discretely called the server and asked that my glass be replaced and that the bottle be disposed of quickly. The server apologized profusely. Shortly thereafter, a manager came by to apologize as well. It is for this reason that I’m taking away three stars from the rating even if the dishes were for all intents and purposes perfect. Hopefully, the sommelier and staff will better manage their open bottles next time. The penultimate dish was Kapi Lamb Chop with Black Dalmoth Potato Chaat and a Kheema Bomb. The dry dalmoth’s texture combined perfectly with the savory chaat. Everything was all good; not a morsel was left on my plate. The lamb was paired with a 2012 Escudo Rojo, from the house of Baron Philipe de Rothschild, Maipo Valley, Chile and it worked perfectly. Our dessert was called, “7 Years Cravings” and it was composed of Chocomosa (a chocolate-filled samosa), Santra-Ras-Baileys (baked orange-flavored yoghurt, chocolate rasgulla and Baileys ice cream), Blueberry Caramel Kheer (rice pudding), Paan (a post-meal breath freshener, digestive aid, and stimulant) Panna Cotta-Rose Kulfi (traditional Indian ice cream), mawa golgappa (fried, crispy, round, hollow puri)-choco rabdi. A 2011 Pinot Gris, Domaines Schlumberger, Grand Cru, Kitterle was served with the dessert. For me, a shot of espresso completed the evening. As noted earlier, I was very pleased with the cuisine served - expectations were met and, at times, exceeded. Regrettably, I am unable to provide a perfect rating because of that glass of wine.

The food at Ziya located within the Oberoi Hotel at Nariman Point is curated by Michelin star rated Indian chef Vineet Bhatia. Be sure to pick the table near the window to get a beautiful view of the Arabian Sea as you gorge into the delicious cuisine. This is a fine dining restaurant so one needs to dress appropriately - no suits necessary but shorts are off limits. You cannot take-out any leftovers. The food is expensive (of course.. duuh) but worth the hype. The staff is really courteous. Worth the hype...

Having been to a bunch of amazing restaurants across India we were very disappointed with the horrible service last night. The food was quite good but the service staff was poor and would play on their phones or simply not pay attention. Read online that this could be a Michelin star and they are WAY off from making that happen with the server staff that they have. Would highly recommend not to check it out with so many other options in town.

We have visited Ziya several times in last few years, the service has been declining. Last night (Sunday) we had dinner somewhere else and decided to go to ZIya for coffee and dessert around 11 pm. Once they found out we just wanted coffee and dessert they tried to persuade us to go downstairs to Verendah. We had to argue to get the table even though most of the tables were empty. After we were seated the service was very slow, they just ignored us. We wont be going there anytime soon.

I heard about this restaurant on Netflix - The final Table - when candidates had to prepare Indian food , then Appears the chef who became the 1st Indian MICHELIN star restaurant. Very excited , we booked at table in Mumbai 1 month in advance :what a disappointment!!!Service was great and we had the 6/7 menu dégustation. We are from all nationalities and it was by far the less tasty food we had in India.Maybe it was great in 2011 but it’s just good , and far bellow what the chef should propose as the cuisine is amazing in this country. I found this restaurant not at the level it should and be we all agreed on that.. yes the menu is creative but please get back to the basic : the taste !For a 90£ = Manu with 2 sparking = 7700 Indian Ruppees
