If you hate yourself, sure this place is for you to stay. Rude and mannerless staff. It feels as if they are doing us a favor for letting us stay at the cost of our money. It is a hostel trying to become a hotel but failing miserably

I am writing this based on my experience of living there for months.Pros- Facility is good in terms of infrastructure- Rooms are nice, good lighting, amazing bathroom and shower- Very affordable as compare to traditional hotelsCons- Day staff is very arrogant- Not very much cleanliness, they do not provide 24x7 cleaning service.- During COVID, they do not enforce to wear masks in the facility even no staff member wears mask- Very dirty kitchen- Very bad wifi

If you are a person with low self esteem and no self respect, then i strongly recommend you stay over here. Lack of empathy, poor customer service, response and rude behavior by the staff, etc is all you will get over here. Especially the rude manager Prem and the owner Patel who thinks he is some Pablo Escobar and the customer service industry is like his own cartel with no competition. But yeah, the place is huge and chaotic. So stay here at your own risk

I’ve stayed in Zostel Mumbai many times. The place is huge compared to other places I’ve stayed at. I, especially, love the work station!! I miss eating at their cafe ( which is shut due to covid). Covid, definitely has affected them but they still try their best. I’ve seen people cribbing with regards to there being too many rules, but I guess the time calls for all of us to follow covid appropriate behaviour. I’ve met some amazing people @Zostel Mumbai, who are now my friends for life.

Suggestions: If you are solo travelling, you should prefer zostel

1. It was mentioned on bookings that zostel has its own canteen.. the only reason why i preferred staying here. I understand its a covid situation but there is no facility for heating food. Everyone gives different asnwers for using fridge. My food was frozen n hence i just asked to just prepare a bowl of oats which was ready to cook and they denied. It would have taken just 2 mins..2. The treatment differs person to person. 1st day I saw some hostel mates storing food in refrigerator upstairs and when i kept my juice for 10 mins they made me remove it. Its very difficult to order everytime and throw remaining food as they dont heat the food for you.3. Wifi is really very bad. I am using my mobile hotspot for working on laptop too.4. I reside in mumbai itself and had come here to chill. But this is such a biased hostel i have ever stayed in. I would never ever recommend zostel mumbai.5. They dont even provide bowls and spoons to eat they serve few people on their own and dont provide cuteleries to others. Overall worst experience

It was better when I visited here in 2017. The outlook & ambience was good and the locks of room was password protected before but now they have removed and changed all the room locks to normal one.

It was amazing to visit the zostel. Due to the pandemic, there werent too many people in there. They are constructing a conference room currently. The rooms are well sanitized and clean! Theyll charge you ₹1000 as a deposit amount which theyll return after check out. Its worth staying, post Pandemic itll turn a fun place again. They have carrom and table tennis to play in the game room with some board games. The cafe is in the open space with a good sitting area. Youll be troubled by a few mosquitoes if you sit in the cafe at night. Its good for a couple stay as well. The room is aesthetically pleasing! Our host was very humble and soft spoken. Theres nothing to visit as such in the surrounding area. Youll have to take a half an hour ride to visit places. Parking a 4 wheeler just outside might be a problem as theres not enough space for parking outside. I would surely recommend this place to anyone as it looks awesome.

Located in Andheri West, one of the best zostel properties in the country. Neat and clean, good atmosphere and good service. Has a big common area with some amazing food. Special thanks to Mustafa bhai for looking after me throughout my stay. I stayed in the private deluxe room which was spacious, spotless and filled with all basic features and amenities. One of the best and economical options to stay when in Andheri area. Loved the entire experience here at Zostel. Would come back again

Everything was OK and average. This hostel is very inside and if you want even basic thing either you have to walk 15minz to go outside on main road or u need to take a rickshaw.I think due to pendamic even their staff has become bit laid back. They do listen to the problem s but do nothing about it.Like 1st day itself my bed lamp wasnt working n I told the reception guy about it couple of times he do assured me that he wil get it done ASAP. I stayed there for 3days and even on 3rd day lamp was dead😭😭. but these people are in awe of foreigners and i hate it to the core. Thats y giving this ratingAnd they should mention on portal that they have a pet (a dog) in hostel premises. Though I dont have any thing against pets but b honest on social platform

Perfect place for youngsters. Whether you are visiting Mumbai as a group, as a couple, or as a solo backpacker, this is hands down the best place in Mumbai. The atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and youthful. No one to judge you. The infrastructure and room service is on par with the best hotels yet its reasonably priced. The location is highly convenient as its only 20 minutes from the airport and the metro station is 5 minutes away by auto. Definitely going to be my preferred choice whenever I visit Mumbai.

Great place to stay: rooms were clean, with hot water and basic cosmetics to take a refreshing shower. They were very helpful with my bus reservation and anything else I needed. The new Chef makes very tasty, fresh food in good price. It attracts a friendly crowd that makes the stay nice and easy. You can chill out in shared space on the big beds the whole day if you need. You do not hear the noisy city from there. It is close to few hospitals which happened to be crucial for me. I would definitely come back there the next time Im in the city.

Washroom is also very clean in small sized rooms like 3 or 4 single beds but in the dorms there should be one extra washroom available due to the number of beds are much more on higher side. Restaurant is also good with great tasty food. All the things are pocket friendly.. which is the most important part.

This hostel is too pathetic to garner such good reviews. In these dangerous times of Covid crisis, they dont even change the blanket for a new customer and just ask to use the used one.

So here is what happened with me.I plan return from Dubai and plan to book Zostel Mumbai for 3 nights, though I was arriving on 7th early morning I still had to book for 6th as well as they dont give early check-in option. Anyways I did my booking and reach Mumbai on 7th at 3 am. It takes a bit time for custom clearance and at 5 am when I reach exit I come to know that there is a mandatory Institutional quarantine needed for 7 days. After having discussion I realise that Zostels name is mentioned in the list so I decide to go for it as I already have 2 days booked with them. Now the BMC team gives me a list where contact person Mr. Vijays name and number is mentioned and they inform me that I can call him anytime to take validation of booking which is mandate by BMC before proceeding. I call Mr. Vijay thrice to which I do not get any response on 4th call he picks the phone and starts shouting that not to call him as he doesnt have any rooms, when I informed him that I already have a booking with Zostel he says cancel online booking and do whatever you want and he hung up. Zostel is slowly turning into social media giants which have all the rules just for their safety and well being. As per Zostels policy I cant even cancel this booking as cancellation needs to be done a week prior. I have stayed with Zostel and enjoyed their hospitality but now I feel its moving towards a very stubborn and self help policies only. Due to this I had to bear not only heavy monitory loss but it felt harassing as well with unfriendly guest policies and arrogant staff not sure where Zostel is heading towards.

Booked for myself as it was a short trip of 2 days. Loved the experience completely. Staff is very cooperative and the facility is well managed and planned. One gets to know and meet people from around the world. Has dormitories, private and shared rooms as well. Also has rooftop sitting area and common space too. Cafe is operational for a very short time frame. Only thing is the location. It could have been much better and approachable.

We had a wonderful stay at Zostel. We were 6 of us and we had a dorm to ourselves. It was very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were especially clean and made them comfortable to use as well. The lounge is a great place to hang out and theres a small kitchen with a stove, microwave and fridge as well. All in all it was a comfortable stay.

Its a good place to stay if you are a solo traveller/backpacker or a you want to travel with your small group of friends.Stayed in a 3 bed dorm room. The room and the washrooms were pretty clean.Private rooms are also available.If you are on a tight budget and are not looking for luxurious accommodation, then this is the right place for you.Clean towels are available for 250 rupees.All you can eat breakfast is also available at an extra cost.

I really liked this Zostel, people were really friendly and helpful. I stayed there during Holi and had the best time. The activity manager Bunny made a huge effort to make this experience memorable for everyone. He did a great job bringing people together. He organized sunset, night and food walks. The guy form night shift who sits in the reception is not at all professional. His behavior in such places is not at all acceptable.I have visited Zostels all over India but never had such bad experience. Also this is the first negative feedback I am posting on it,Only positive thing I saw is the morning shift receptionist and the facility being near to metro station. They should accept that they are showing difference between Indians and Foreigners, atleast the night shift receptionist should.

Great establishment. Had a stay in their suite, quite a comfortable stay! They dont really offer complimentary breakfast, neither lunch or dinner .Though they own a in house cafe where snacks could be relished.

Im a usual zosteler, and at first felt uncomfortable here but after couple of days, realized that this is the best place i could spend my time while in Mumbai. The amazing hosts and something or the other keeps on happening everyday if not go to the terrace and play some games, and make friends. You could find people who have been spending almost a month there.

Away from the commotion of the busy traffic, lies this abode of serene silence and a hub of great social company. My stay at Zostel from 9-11 April, 2019, was indeed one of the few best days of my life.Had a brief yet comfortable time rubbing Simons forehead and chest, and giving him the vibes of chill. Every time I stopped massaging him, he used to put his leg over me.The food from the cafe was way out of expectations. Its hard to find delicious meals nowadays.Rooms were the best part of my stay. Cosy and clean. A bliss !!

Totally non-fussy, spick n span, peaceful and professionally managed place. Location wise, found it to be easily approachable.Vibrant interiors and painted outer walls are inviting. Food is available in the hostel makes it a self sufficient, dependable stay option for any budget traveller looking for safe and hygienic option.My recommendation: you can book individual room also if dorm is not your cup of tea. Check in advance since rooms seem to be in low supply in hostels generally and thisd one is not exception.Already looking forward to return 😃

The place is okay for backpackers and people who are used to hippies, but if youre a newbie in that culture, its going to take a hit on you.The place otherwise is wonderfully decorated, with a cafe that has great food and drinking items at a great rate.The rooms are good, they usually dont allow a group to stay together. The rooms are hostel kind, accomodating anywhere from 6-8 people with double bunk beds.The washrooms are smaller than expected and can be a pain to use sometimes.

Located in the heart of Andheri, Zostel is quite popular. Clean rooms, courteous staff, overall a great experience. Word of caution, its quite far from the usual places you would want to visit in Mumbai. So plan your travel accordingly and then book your stay

Nice place to stay in Mumbai at a very affordable price.Its good to see European concept of Hostels growing up in India.Comfortable, safe and located almost at the centre of the city. Surrounding area isnt a very happening place, even the road is a bit narrow, which makes it a little difficult to notice.Everything else is just perfect!

I just loved this place and wish I could stay more! The ambiance is great and the decor crazy beautiful.The rooms are neat and cozy. Each bunk has a locker and the ACs are a much needed respite from the outside weather! There is a plug point at each bunk along with a reading light and storage pouch which are really helpful. The washrooms are very clean and there is even a common toilet in-case the one in your room is currently occupied. Theres great WiFi in every room!There is a kitchen if you want to cook along with a water purifier. The staff are really helpful and the manager was very friendly. The common room is a great place to chill out and meet people. There are quite a few books there and you can wait there if you have time before check in or if you checkout early. The rooftop is a fun place and very lively at night. There are table tennis and a couple of other games where you can socialize with others. There is a small cafe in case you want to eat anything.The location is a little inside and a small section of the road was messed up due to monsoon. Its about 1.6 km from Marol Naka metro station but we couldnt find any auto drivers willing to go inside so had to walk. If its not raining, its a pleasant walk. There are a couple of restaurants along the road but nothing very close to the Zostel. You can order food and heat it or store it in the kitchen fridge.Overall we had an amazing experience and definitely wouldnt think twice before staying there again!

Its was lovely staying at zostel. It feels like a second home. The people there are so nice amd helpful and understanding that you barely faced any issues or problems. I had all my queries answered in one go. Also its a very friendly environment where you get to see and meet new people with their goals set in life who have come to accomplish them. The best part of zostel is the night walk which is conducted by the volunteers as they tend to plan a new activity everyday for the entertainment of their guest.. one can never feel board lonely or lost. They work hard and go out of the ways to hepl their guests. Food is also amazing at zostel. I dint feel like coming back home.Overall i would give it a 10/10 and would recommend ZOSTEL to all ny near n daer ones. I MISS ZOSTEL PEOPLE!!

This Zostel is way of the city as it is in Andheri East so if you are coming by train then this place is way off many mumbai hotspots. I liked the vibes of the place and the cafe is a cool place to hangout. My only pet peev is that it is not in Bandra or the town area or near some happening places of mumbai.

We had an excellent experience with friendly helpful staff from the first phone call through to check in, dining and check out. Our dorms were very clean modern and very accommodating and although beside the main road there was no noise at all. The main reason of retention is the cooperation of the staff and the extremely accommodating environment

Zostel Mumbai is located in Andheri. I have stayed in female dormitory and it was really good. The shared washroom was clean. You will love the break out area. However less options for breakfast are available. Wi-Fi was working fine and staff is cooperative. Nice place to stay with friends.

Nice place to stay. Beds are comfortable. It provides option from private rooms to 4,6 or 8 bed dormitories with attached bathrooms. There are both AC and non AC rooms. It also has a kitchen where you get eatables like sandwiches,etc. It is situated in Andheri and there is a market nearby where you get everything. Andheri railway station is almost 5 km from zostel and airport is also situated at a drive of 40 minutes.

Hard truth the place is in development phase. But most importantly your rooms are cool and people are awesome too they help out 👍

Best zostel Ive been to. Screw the 5 star hotels, this is the place you should be staying in Bombay if youre looking for a great experience.Great crowd, mix of Indians from all over the country and many foreign nationals as well. Rahul and Dhruven from zostel made sure the place felt home, and they arranged many activities almost every day. Pub crawls, intense Uno sessions, and great conversations. Definitely staying here next time as well.

My friends had booked this place for 2 days. But their stay turned out to be so pathetic that they had to move to another property the very next day. My friends had booked a 5 bedded room so that they could stay together. But these people gave them 3 beds in one room and 2 beds in another. All the 5 had to adjust in one room on 3 beds since they did not want to stay separately since they were meeting after a long time. The room in which they were given 2 beds, had no window. Infact the other room also had no ventilation. To add to all this, there was no electricity and they had to bear the heat in the room. Only the good part was that Zostel only charged them for one day stay since they moved out on the 2nd day.I wouldnt recommend Zostel for a group stay with friends. Its better to look for Service apartments.

I dont like zostel Mumbai. Becoz I LOVE ZOSTEL.. .its not a hostel its like home but different kind.. I dont know when I finished my 8 days there. It was amazing experience. I met lot of new friends. The management extraordinary. All staffs are superb. Very friendly,respectful. I dont ever think to stay out-of zostel whenever I reach Mumbai. I need only only only zostel. Staff mentaining hostel very hygenic. Everyday having different different activities so my time gone smoothly without any problem. I refer n suggest my friends to stay in zostel. Room and bathroom was a nice size.I have stayed in the Zostel in Agra where the staff were exceptional - friendly, ready to mix with guests and happy to provide you with any information. Apart from the person that checked us in the staff were more concerned about playing their own music at a high volume at 9am in the morning. Food was very basic. Room and bathroom was a nice size however for the price we paid for it weve stayed in much nicer guesthouses and could of stayed in much nicer rooms for a lot less in Mumbai. Weve been travelling India for two months and the laundry service was the worst weve used in our time in India - not because it was self service or that they were basic washing machines (the spin dry function on all of them didnt work) it was because the hang dry area was in a dark damp room so our clothes just ended up stinking worse then they did before we washed them. It seems senseless to have a drying area in a dark damp room when they have an outdoor area which gets direct sunlight out the back and a roof top area upstairs. The location is terrible if your a tourist - all in all it will take you almost two hours to see in any of the main tourist destinations like the city gate etc. Between getting the metro and the train and walking to where you need to go then it will take you almost two hours. The location is ok if you are just staying to catch a flight or doing business in North Mumbai. I wouldnt recommend staying there if you are looking to meet other travelers or if youre on a tight budget. You can find cheaper guesthouses in better locations.

Friendly staff, there is a cafe inside where one can get decent food. The food options arent really vast but will do. Bedding and dorms are clean. Washrooms are clean as well. Locker facility is available too. Id suggest you better buy a lock in advance before you get there. Else you might be left with no choice but buy one from the reception.Dont expect it to be a really happening place with hippies all around. It isnt like that. This is just another decent dorm with impressive facilities for the amount theyre charging.
