This temple complex is mentioned in the ancient texts of Mahabharata. It has about 365 stairs to climb to reach the main temple. Steps are well cemented, still you need to have a moderate degree of physical stamina to reach at the top. Elderly female specially can have a problem to climb. The average climb time is about 20 minutes. You can offer Prasad there but you have to deposit before entering the main temple. Temple is in cave basically where you have to crawl-in to get into the main sanctum. The divine look of the goddess is serene. You can have a great areal landscape view from the top. Please mind that you are only allowed to go up to the top up to 5.30 pm in the evening. Expectedly photography is not allowed in the sanctum.

The Place name Mount Abu itself awed to the Mount Arbuda... And myths related to the temple of Arbuda devi... Its a cave temple situated at the top of the mount... Steep climb requires to reach there... As the name indicates the rocks nearby are in deteriorating stage... Probably they are too aged... Inside the the temple its so cool... May she bless you all...

Its an excellent journey to the top. ForWhile you start going up steps you find plenty of Jamun tree and lots of berries all around. Only problem for me was to bend a lot or crawlting to go inside the temple. Thats very difficult for elderly people. But the surrounding, the environment, the nature, trekking everything is exotic. One must go.

One of the Shakti Peeth. As per mythology, lips(adhar) of maa sati fell here thats why it is also called Adhra Devi. Sanctum Sanctorum is in a big cave. Going into this cave one has to cross from under a horizontal rock structure of height 2.5 feet. Crossing this rock structure is not hard and even no suffocation felt. Its just like you are crossing under a table. Importance and piousness of the place is great. Atmosphere is quite and calm. Not crowded. To reach temple one has to climb 357 comfortable stairs.

Arududevi is the goddess Devi of Abu. Abu Mountains were considered to be the residence of Dhakkaka Dharma and the residence of Arubesvari. The temple of Arbudadevi comes from Narwai pond to Achaleshwar. This small temple, made of white marble, is situated in the middle of a high and huge hill and looks very gorgeous and attractive. This ancient temple is located above the residential settlement of Abu mountains at an altitude of 4250 feet.
