Horrible Experience!! I booked through Fork with a discount voucher and from the start they showed discriminating attitude..Why to promote your restaurant on Fork if you have such a problem. They discriminated by giving us low quality crockery - we could see fancy crockery served on other tables. Staff was rude.Food was below average and very overpriced. Ambience was very shady. There are plenty of other Indian restaurants where I can pay much lower and have great meal.I wouldn’t recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. Utterly disappointed!!

What a mistake!!! Bad food, poor customer service and pathetic ambience! Must also mention- We went their to celebrate my birthday and requested them to provide us quarter plates for cutting the cake at the end of the party and staff/owner said they will charge $5 per person.. Seriously!! They just want to rip every dollar from you!!Stay away from them.Edit to Owners Response - Look at your audacity!! Trying to cover your lies and poor service with false claims.. You guys should close this restaurant business and open a law firm instead..And If you have so much problem with Fork, why do you market your restaurant there.. Great meal. Friendly service, food was fantastic especially the Goat curry, so so tender with just the right amount of spice. And the Cheese Naah bread was to die for, we ended up ordering thirds and still wanted more!

This is an amazing restaurant. Had a wonderful meal last night. The food was tasty and authentic Indian and the service was outstanding. Jimmy recommended exactly what we needed - we were going to order more dishes but he said it would be too much. Spot on. No up-selling here. Spacious restaurant with white linen tablecloths. Tables well spaced apart - so important at the moment.

Biryani like top 3 i had. so much character and meat. :). Naan are smaller then roti :(. Price are high but its covid times. one need Bigger well lit board on the road, clearly food taste’s good but management is struggling. feel bad for one guy running and doing every thing by him self. That means there seem to be a problem 4 sure. I wish you all the best.

YUM! Such a fantastic meal. The food was sensational and the service was on point. We ordered a mushroom korma and a paneer butter masala with 2 garlic and cheese naans. 10/10 recommend. The waiter was thoughtful enough to bring out each naan separately so it didnt go cold. Very friendly :)

Being an Indian, I can critique the food to be simply amazing, tastes just like home! Good parking spot, nice overlook from the French windows.. mixed entree platter is such a pleaser... Love their Lamb Rogan josh and the Garlic chilli cheese naan is to die for! Do try the Goan fish curry and Prawn Malabar if you like seafood... still cant believe they have Kulfi, its such an Indian delicacy! Melts my buds! Good catch Mosman!

The best Indian food you will ever eat! This restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere accompanied by extremely kind and friendly staff. The quality of food is consistently perfect and the menu caters for all types of diets. The food is always tasty and fresh. I have never had an experience short of brilliant whenever I have eaten here. My family has been going here for over 20 years and it is one of my absolute favourite restaurants. 5/5 I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian food or any kind of good quality food!

Fabulous tasty food, exceptional service, all the staff are genuinely friendly and catered for our gluten free son. Nothing was too much trouble.. we didn’t have to ask for anything. Water brought to the table and the food kept coming.. right around the corner from the Taronga zoo in Mosman. Highly highly recommended. Thank you to you and all your staff.

Have known this place for lots of years and its now under new management. Theyre stamping their own mark and making some changes. Just be aware to order hot if you like your food that way, otherwise its served mild so you can actually taste the ingredients! Loved the change of approach. Lovely people and some of the old staff still there too ~ top marks, really recommend it, especially if you are a former customer, give it a go and see the changes!

We wanted to support local businesses but it was extreemly disappointing. Usually if something is bad we just wont order again, this is something we cant finish. It tastes worse than something out of a jar. Perhaps they have sacked their chief by $55 has literally gone in the bin. Again, it may have been a one off but wont order again.

My partner and I go to A Taste of India very frequently and absolutely love it. The food is by far the best Indian you will find in Sydney and the staff (owned and run by a family) are lovely and attentive. The business has been in the family for over 20 years so it has a lovely, quiet, old-school atmosphere. Its great for a quick meal mid week or a longer evening shared with friends over a bottle of wine. Definitely worth checking out if you love great Indian food!!

My family and I visited A Taste of India on our recent trip to Sydney. The food was beautiful and the hospitality was outstanding. Jimil was a great host. We look forward to dining here again on our next trip.

Tonight we finally tried A Taste of India after months of living in Mosman. The maître d was extremely welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. We had such a lovely evening, thanks to the delightful service and delicious food. Could not recommend A Taste of India more, we will definitely be back and cant wait to bring friends!

The entree platter was very tasty, and honestly priced (though a samosa would have been a great addition).. Main course and naan were good, and they have some unique desserts invented by the chef (we got the mousse, and it was very interesting). Service was perfect, always attentive, and we liked having little chats with the owner. They have a 30$ buffet on Wednesdays, well try !

Taste of greed more like it... smallest portions, they self promote as great food... but was very average and sooooooooooo overpriced... I hope you dont make the mistake that its better just before if new management. Was far better before!SMALL PORTIONS! TOO EXPENSIVE! NOT HIGHEST QUALITY!

Friends advised us of new management and their first experience. Lets just say one not to forget! Great service and fantastic food. Chef even answered our questions personally! A few steps upstairs but kid-friendly. No need to BYO, they have a good variety of matching wine and beer. Cant wait to go back!

Unforgivably, this is my first visit despite living in Mosman over 5 years. If I had been sooner, I would have discovered one of the best curry houses in Sydney a lot earlier. Dont make the same mistake as I did.

The place os located on the first floor of a building off-road.The chicken was either undercooked or started to rot.The service was not so cheerful.The fuzzy drinks were poured from a large container to an ordinary glass, and billed for the price of a can! No fuzziness was enjoyed at all.Never coming to it again.

Lovely food and a friendly manager/owner. Food came quickly and as we rocked up at 9pm we basically had the place to our selves.Would recommend - the chicken sagwalla was very suculent and flavourful!

I’m at a loss to explain why this has such great reviews...maybe it’s from the dearth of good food options around Mosman so something a little different seems amazing.The food was average at best, the decor uninspired and plain and when we left my wife and I said to each other, “well, we don’t need to eat there again.”I know it’s Mosman, not the Inner West or another part of Sydney with huge varieties of great food, but there are so many other places to get Indian food that are so much more exciting than this.

I had just recently visited A taste of India and I must say, the experience was incredible. I happened to pass by on Wednesday buffet night and the food was both enticing and delicious. The layout of the whole venue is quite exotic and the presentation falls no less than incredible.Having changed owners recently, the customer service of this restaurant has become very exceptional, Jimil and Chef Santosh were very friendly on my visit and made me feel very welcome.I highly recommend a taste of India, Value for food as well as quality of food is on a whole nother level! Highly recommended.

Hidden gem in mosman! Decided to give it a go after receiving their flyer in the mail! Got greeted by the new owner Jimmy and his friendliness made the whole experience even better! Had the chicken biryani and goat curry for dinner with a side of nan bread and boy! All i could say was flavour,flavour,flavour! Meat which just falls off the bones, rice which compliments the curry packed with intense complexed flavours. Overall, a very satisfying experience! Not to be missed! Be sure to pay a visit before this hidden gem becomes a hot spot!

We eat often at the Taste of India Mosman, and are always delighted by the warm welcome from the staff and the excellent food. Best Indian food on the North Shore, with lovely serene interior deco.

Don’t mislead by the outdated decorations, this place makes really delicious Indian cuisine. My wife and I were walking by and decided to give it a try, we love it and will be coming back again for sure!

My partner and I went with 4 freinds last night to the buffet. Food is amazing, service is impecable. Great options both vegetarian and meat and @ $30 each its at a great price. Strongly reccomend i will defiantly be back next week.The chef and waiter are co-owners so both have a vested interest meaning quality everytime.

Cost wise, $18 for a main takeaway is not good for the quality. Possibly the worst Indian food we’ve had. The cholay tastes like canned. The rice was ordinary. The palak paneer had no flavour. My daughter even said the butter chicken was bad and she is hard to displease. The naan was lifeless and a store bought, heat in the microwave version is superior.Cumin in Crows Nest is an Authentic restaurant well worth it and just lovely consistent food- try and compare.

A serene Indian dining experience right amidst the hustle and bustle of mosman. The food is fantastic. The option to make any dish to suit ones palette is a bonus. Spaced out tables give privacy, yet not far away to feel lonely. Ambience is top notch and a licenced bar improves the dining experience up a level. You can also B.Y.O wine.Friendly staff and a quick but excellent kitchen. The rating is well deserved.

Best Indian in Mosman, by far. We love dining in where the service is excellent and the owner, Zinni is very friendly. Its BYO and licensed and the restaurant is huge so theres always a table.
