Literally ordered from this place just tonight and the food was trash!! The pasta was cold, the ravioli tasted like it came from a can and sadly the calamari was soggy and cold; no seasoning at all. Do not recommend this to anyone especially who come down to visit Montreal. A waste of money trust & believe that

The pizza here is good, but the service was absolutely terrible and management virtually non-existent when we visited. How is it acceptable to make your customers wait an hour for the food to arrive and 30 minutes for drinks on a relatively quiet evening? Instead of walking around and managing his business and making sure everything was up to par, the owner was too busy socializing without a mask with a group seated in front of us. After we finally got his attention and expressed our dissatisfaction at the poor service, all he was able to pathetically mutter without even standing up was sorry...but this is my first break in 12 hours. The sheer audacity and arrogance.

Very good pizza and entrees but the Philly Cheese steak sandwich was brutal. Seems like they cooked the steak in some kind of sauce or it was sauteed in mayonnaise but really nothing like a traditional Philly Cheese steak hoggie. Perhaps this was the Quebec version

It was our first outing post confinement and honestly couldnt have picked a better place. The staff was super friendly, the manager even came to chat with us and orderdd shots for everyone.The food is exquisite and the vibe is what you need for a good summer night out on a terrace.

Awful service and average pizza. Special shoutout to the owner who was having shots with the table behind us as I expressed my disappointment about waiting 50 mins for pizza, who then proceeded to respond with ‘this is my first break in 6 hours’… no apology at all. It is not my fault you have poor time management and don’t know how to manage your staff or restaurant. Shocking

While we selected Bacaro due to its close proximity to LCC, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and good pizza. Their homemade pickles made it really good and added a nice tangy taste I enjoyed. They also had a gluten free option and offer specials on their pizza if you do take out (something to check out!).

Very mediocre. Service and staff were great, the food was very underwhelming. Given the number of italian/pizza places in the area, I would avoid this one.

Don’t waste your money on the Rigatoni Alfredo. It’s as if they heated up some cream and mixed pasta in without salt or anything. Literally the most tasteless, bland dish I’ve ever had... I was gonna make it at home but got to lazy so I decided to try this place for the first time. It tasted the same, it not worse, than the Dominos one but for twice the price. So disappointing, I was really hungry.

Back at Bacaro after well over a year with covid which WAS a very decent neighborhood fare .Sadly no more , service was prompt and friendly but food was third rate.Fried calamari rubbery with coating all falling off it at the slightest touch. Clearly cheap commercial frozen.Lasagna faired no better , low end frozen lasagna judging by the very dark tomato sauce and slimy sheets of pasta all served drowning in plain tomato sauce.The caprese another sad sight hard as a rock unripe tomatoes on top of flat bread with 1 thin slice of fresh mozzarella.

Not a bad place by any means, but I honestly didnt feel like I got my moneys worth. Pizza is good, but its not spectacular either.Besides the music being a bit too loud, theres a good ambiance and its a good place for families. They do seem to be trying a bit too hard to peddle their products. Little adverts for their T-shirts on all the tables? Strikes me as a bit tacky.

Really great service and menu, one of the things that I enjoy from Bacaro is that they dont have a crazy heavy menu with a gazillion of items, which ensures that the food that they prepare is not only fresh but well made.Salads are crispy and fresh and the pizzas and paninis are truly delicious with everything made in-house. Currently they can accommodate people to dine inside and outside observing every rule to keep you safe, also be noted, if you dont wear a mask youll not be allowed inside, if you have to go use their services note that youll be required to use your mask too!Did I mention that they have great and efficient service? Yeah, that much needed smile and genuine wish to serve and accommodate you on this very challenging times.Thanks guys greatly enjoyed it.

If youre looking for authentic italian food, you wont find it here....The quality of the food is not that great and they might need to review their food safety courses because their food made me sick..... Had two slices of their margarita pizza (not even close to a margarita pizza btw) and it was so full of tomato sauce that tasted very off, couldnt sleep at all cause of that and now Im spending my weekend in bed.... 100% avoid

Place is awesome..they have a very nice small terrasse overlooking the streets wish the construction wasnt there though..their food is just perfect must try youre i for a treat with their rich creamy mouth watering NUTELLA CREAM CAKE!!!!pizzaaass like the four cheesee with rich mozarella savory goat cheese and tastyyy dough toooo perfect!Service is pretty fast..we wanted though to choose and move to another table since it was really crampy where we were seated but our waitresss didnt let us, despite the fact it wasnt really packed..

Service is terrible, we didnt have a reservation, although there were several tables unoccupied on the terrasse (they were supposedly reserved) so we sat inside. Next minute a lady without a reservation arrives and asks for two tables and the hostess gives her the same tables that were reserved .Discussing and unprofessional . I only went there since i live in the neighborhood, but never again.

We went there on a Wednesday evening. The place looks great. The service was friendly but not always efficient. Our waitress was probably new. We ordered a salad to share: rucola ($13) and one pizza each: margharita ($14). The salad was a pile of baby arugula which seemed fresh, with very few pieces of shaved Parmesan and some cherry tomatoes that tasted as if they were picked from last years crop. The taste was awfully sour, as we could only taste the lemon juice of the dressing. We did not eat our salad and returned it. The waitress just smiled and took it away. We had to ask to speak with a manager to have the salad taken off our bill. One of our pizza was burnt and lacked flavour. The ingredients were not fresh. The basil leaves were nonexistent. We had to ask twice for the spicy oil, which is what gave our pizzas a little flavour. Overall, very expensive for no freshness and no flavour. We will not return.

One of the worst restaurants on Monkland, we ordered pizza which smelled like tobacco and still had cigarette ashes on it. The meatballs and tomatoe sauce tasted like chef boyardee out of a can. If you want real Italian food go to Amerigo across the street.

The pizza is fantastic, not just the crust but the toppings. The beer on tap is a mix of what you would expect. The vibe is chill.

Went out for dinner and this place isnt that bad! Honestly I ordered their Margarita (standard cheese pizza)and it is not as bad as you think! Also its a pretty big pizza! (Look at photo). For dessert I had Nutella fritters. Its honestly one of the most delicious desserts I have had in a while. A must if your willing to have a dessert. The ambiance is nice, but sometimes get crowded and very noisy, but it didnt bother me at all. The waitresses were very kind to us. So if you pass buy, come try this place out! Anyways going further down monk land you will see other places. I would also go check out pizza delic, they have good pizza and fries there:D

This restaurant gives amazing service and tasty menu. One of my favourite places in the city. The meals came out fast and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely recommend this place.

We went in for their lunch menu with has a decent amount of options at decent prices.Firstly, the staff there were AMAZING. Kind, courteous, attentive, funny, very energetic.We started with the Pepperoni sticks, essentially spring rolls with pepperoni and cheese, with an amazing marinara dipping sauce and lots of fresh cut basil - these are good.I had the meatball sub. It had all the proper components, but unfortunately lacked any seasoning or spice. The accompanying Caesar salad tasted like basic store-bought dressing, but the fries, oh man, the fries were some of the best I have ever had. Id go back for the fries, and thats saying something!My wife had the Pizza Maggio, a white pizza It was quite good, the arugula was fresh, but the crust was a bit chewy and lifeless, needed a few extra moments in the wood-fire oven to really elevate the experience.The 1$ cold brew (July promotion) was a hit, delicious!All in all $40 for two people to have a nice lunch, with coffee (and a higher than normal tip for the great service) is really good for Monkland.Im not rushing back, but Im certainly open to giving it another shot!

*Our server was very nice, sweet and apologetic so this is why Im leaving 3 stars and not 1.**Pizza came with an ingredient that we asked not to be on it. Server was sweet about it and we told her to forget about it, then the owner comes and tried to tell my wife that the eggplant she asked not be there was mushroom PLUS barely apologized.***My 3 year old son was served juice in a glass that was cracked. I know these things can happen, but this was definitely not dealt with accordingly. Again, the server was nice and changed it immediately, but if I was the owner in this situation I would have run to the table immediately to make sure everything is fine and offer something on the house if not the whole bill.The food is decent (nothing special) but the main thing that needs improvement here is management.

This place used to be great! I don’t know what happened but last time we came a party of 9 and ordered a lot of food. The quality of it has gone down and the portions as well. The rice balls for example used to be so big and tasty, now it’s half the size. The pepperoni pizza we used to order 1 and it was enough, now it became smaller and we needed two. My friend ordered gluten free pizza and it came when every single person ate at the table and was ready to go. She couldn’t eat and left hungry. The salad dressing had no flavour and was watery and barely any salad. I was so disappointed last time. I hope they change things

I visited this restaurant twice in one week, both with very different experiences, which I would like to elaborate in order for the situation not to happen to others.On Tuesday, I went before the hockey game with a friend, and was nicely served by Erin, who informed us of all promotions ($10 pizzas as well as the drink menu). Walked out of there very pleased.Yesterday, however, was a different story. We were served by Leanne. Dinning was fine. When it came to paying the tab, I noticed that my pizza was not $10. I asked why, and was shocked with the answer. I had to let her know in advance, because the pizzas they make for the discount are not the same as if you were to pay full price. I told her about being there on Tuesday, and how I really enjoyed my pizza, didnt notice anything different in comparison to the one I had just finished, and would like the discount. She said she couldnt reprocess my bill and that I would have to wait 40 minutes for a manager, as there was none on duty at that moment. No manager on a Saturday night? That doesnt seem right... Also, she mentioned that the promotion doesnt run on Saturdays, yet the sign was right outside, with no fine print as to when it runs specifically. All to say, I paid my tab and left. Unhappy with the experience unfortunately this time around, and dont think Ill be going back anytime soon. This was poor customer service at its finest.If I could get back the $8 + tax that was spent uselessly, I would. But I dont think thatll be possible... Therefore, warning to all you students who head there, dont always believe what you see as promos!

Note this rateing is for the Monkland location only. Overall food was good, pizza and starters were as they always were, shows formulas for food prep work. Salad was overdressed was the only issue with food.Main issue was the lack of service and compliance to covid rules for at the restaurant . Definitely needs more staff, waited 15 min before we asked the manager to get us menus, only to be told to use our phones, as well the manager was not wearing a mask but interacts with customers, tables were not spaced 6 feet apart and all seemed opened. The outdoor dining space as well the tables were not spaced out. The wait staff at the bar as well masks down when interacting with clients.Not impressed overall.

The food is DELICIOUS and high quality and the service is FABULOUS. We just discovered it because the restaurant we had originally intended to visit was affected by a power failure on Monkland and this one appeared excellent from the outside. THE INSIDE MATCHED!

When you walk in it feels like a decent resto bar. But when you start getting your drinks and food, it feels like they stopped caring. A few examples:Watered down bloody CesarDirty platesSalad had dark and mushy leaves, menu says it has artichoke hearts but I only found one piece...waitress brought the pizza of the month but did not even know what the pizza was...Then we got the lasagna, which tasted like canned tomatoes.Unfortunate. I wonder if the owner is aware. The place has potential and is in a great location. With the right staff and a caring kitchen, they might be able to create a pleasant experience.

Pizza was good. On their ads and website they claim it is the best pizza. I think that is going a bit too far. The Italian salad was average. Not too expensive.

The atmosphere here is good with some great homemade food. Pizza is cooked in a wood burning oven and the pasta is home made. The service was great from our waitress but the manager was not helpful at all. We got our food just as a large party came in causing our server to be preoccupied by taking their order. But instead of lending a hand and getting our small group out the door in a timely manner, the manager just walked around aimlessly and didnt really assist the wait staff even after we asked for the bill multiple times and explained we had limited time. Might have been an off day but overall it makes it hard to recommend this place when your at the mercy of that type of managerial service.

The pizza was excellent. The sauce Id simple and the toppings were fresh. I did a build-your-own with mushrooms and pepperoni. It was loaded with both. I loved it.

Food was not really great. Over priced and the pasta I got was even half cooked. The breads were burnt as if it has been roasted too much. Honestly, it wasnt worth the money. The garlic bread was great, though.

Weird spot. Brought the pasta before the soup. Pizza was good. Salad was okay. Desert probably the most tasty. Espresso was short of being short. Waitress was slow.

Food is alright, service is very unprofessional.Passed by on a Wednesday night. The two waitresses in the restaurant were friendly, but they seemed more concerned about what they were doing during the weekend than actually serving us. The restaurant was fairly quiet, so the chitter chatter was quite distracting. Unfortunately, these scenarios can make customers feel a bit unwelcome and uncomfortable.Food was decent. I was in the area with a friend so decided to give another pizza a try. The restaurant was completely shut down about an hour before closing time. Im assuming the restaurant is not doing so well since they would have to close that early. Granted its Monday night, but its still not a good sign. Its unfortunate, because the place has a lot of potential.

We had a 3 course meal everything including the wine was delicious. The pizza is made in a wood oven and is pretty close to the ones I had in Europe. The staff is very friendly as well.

The pizza was very good but there were many out of control children that completely ruined the ambiance for me. All of them were screaming at the top of their lungs and staring at my table while we ate which aggravated us. The parents seemed to do nothing about it as well.

Pretty average dining experience. The fries were super satisfying, but my pasta was cooked pretty al dente with hardly any sauce. My boyfriends pizza was decent but low on flavour. Easy and convenient neighbourhood spot but generally nothing to write home about.

With all the choices for a delicious pizza in Montreal, this is far from being one of them. Do not waste your time or money.

Overpriced! very basic pasta; they never get your order right. Bruschetta is basically panini bread with a huge chunk of bocconcini and a huge slice of tomato, no spices no olive oil nothing. they are too lazy to make traditional bruschetta. No utensils. If you want very good food order from Via Marcello.

Had some great pizza and good times with the family tonite along Monkland. Lots of pasta dishes and salads to choose from but of course we came for the wood oven pizza. Between the four of us we got the Diavola, Polpetta (group favorite), Zaza & Ortolano. All of them where excellent! Had some good calamari while waiting for these tasty pies. Also a nice selection of beer on tap with full bar helped wash it all down. Last not but not least, Nutella beignets. Excellent service, all be it a bit load (large birthday group), looking forward to a return visit soon.

One of the worst service I ever had. Waited an hour for a pizza, then when I asked, still tells me 15mins. Got mad and asked to cancel the pizza and give me the receipt, the waitress didn’t apologized or said sorry. Bad service, I ordered 30$ of drinks for two and I couldnt event eat with my drinks...I had to go backhome and cook. Used to like the place, now it really bad. Would definitely not recommend.

The pizza here is absolutely delicious. Cocktails arent too shabby, either. All together, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a next-level pizza joint in there area.

Pros:Very friendly staff.I really liked the calamari appetizer.I really liked the Nutella dessert balls.Drinks were well made - I got a bloody caesar.Cons:Appetizer portions are a little small.Pizza is not crispy and a bit too soggy in the middle for my tastes.Atmosphere leans more towards a bar scene and not really a restaurant, which I didnt like.It was a nice experience and we got to try some tasty appetizers, but with all of the other pizza restaurants in the area, I doubt well be coming back here.

I will be hard pressed to return to this venue. A friend & I went for their Tuesday 2 Girls & 1 Pitcher and opted instead for their $12 table dhote lunch. We waited for our water...there were 3 other clients in the restaurant. We were informed that the soup was not available on the table dhote. My panino came with no prosciutto. When I asked the waitress if I was wrong in thinking that what was offered came with prosciutto, she was confused and had to find out (although it was printed on the menu). Then I said, I wanted a price reduction if I wasnt getting the prosciutto. Shed have to find out, as she wasnt able to make that decision. A few minutes later, I was presented with a bowl of prosciutto (such a NICE presentation! - NOT!). My lunch companion wanted one of the advertised Nutella desserts, only to be told that the company offering the Nutella based desserts was no longer supplying them. Take if off the menu for pitys sake! I had ordered a Pizza Gigi to take home; I told the waitress that I would be checking to make sure the prosciutto was actually on the pizza. (It was...sparse, but there). I feel sorry for that girl. Clearly Bacaro Pizzeria on Monkland is sliding (or perhaps only during the lunch time period). Check your meal to ensure that you get what you have ordered.

I went there with my sister on a saturday afternoon. We were the only customers there. The waitress was nice, though after serving us our food she did not come back until I went to go ask her for the bill (and some water!!!)My sisters pizza was burnt at the bottom. Mine was good, but neither was worth what we paid for.

Pricey but with a good ambiance with good food

Food is very good. We ordered desert with coffee and the desert was very good but they let our coffee sit on counter while they served other people. Americano coffee served in rather small cups and mine was not really a full cup, no free refills. Felt guilty asking for our coffee since it was sitting on their counter getting cold and there was only one waitress until a second one showed up. We had to ask for our bill a couple of times. The waitress was very nice but seemed stressed out, since they were so short staffed, it made atmosphere unpleasant though decor was very nice too. This restaurant is probably best for local dining but if you are going out to celebrate or to meet someone really special, the inefficient service could be a negative distraction.
