Being an Indian its hard to get a nice authentic food of India in American country. But this restaurant was amazing. Very delicious food. Fair prices and good services of the owner. I ordered and take away from them, I must say, yes its superb. You can love it. and their food exactly as shown on photo. (I uploaded photo from their web)

Without a single doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant in Montreal - and Ive tried just about all of them I reckon. The food is incredible (as a vegetarian, I love all of their veggie dishes), the ingredients taste fresh and high-quality and everything is made from scratch - their homemade paneer especially is amazing. The staff are very professional and take pleasure in delivering a high-dining experience, and are lovely once you get to know them.The pakoras are always hot and fresh, the naan is unlike any other you will find in Montreal.Seriously cant recommend this place enough!!

Once again, they are marvelous. grill chicken with soft puffy naan bread, Grill are well cooked and marinated perfectly. and chicken dansak also so delicious. Very well packaging, received warm food. Get food within 40 minutes after order placed.Highly recommended.

Since moving to Canada from England, Ive found it really hard to find Indian food that is sufficiently spicy. Im delighted to say that this restaurant hits the spot! Delicious and varied (not every dish is spicy!) and really friendly service. Highly recommended. NOTE: The owner mentioned that they may be moving to a nearby location soon, so might be worth checking before heading to out.

Place is very nice, staff friendly.But, when I go to a restaurant, its mostly for the food.Took a butter chicken, disappointed.Small portion of chicken, not even marinated in that sauce, just cooked in it.And the sauce tastes a lot like coconut (which I like, but not in that situation)Too expensive for the quantity / quality

One of the worst restaurant in Canada. The restaurant do not offer water until you place an order. The staff mentioned that they are afraid people may walk out without ordering. Just the name of the hotel sounds south Indian. Do not expect any south indian food here. The food was not great either and they took a long time to serve. Very rude staff, cant believe how have they survived so long.

I had been warned by quite a few people that food here is very bad. A handful others, however, felt that the food was good. I decided to try the Biryani once. Yes, the price is a bit high that put me in a skeptical position. The moment I opened the box, the aroma of the biryani suggested right away that something great was coming. The visual appeal was impressive as well. But, what made my day was the first spoonful of biryani rice- so much subtlety in those rich flavours!Nothing can be more disappointing when some odd spice overpowers the flavour palette. Most Indian restaurants in Montréal head in that direction. Mysore la Express is an exception. The perfect balance of ingredients makes it one of the best places in Canada to try amazing biryani. Definitely going back.Just a note to some people who questioned the authenticity of flavours- Indian food is not definite, different regions have different flavour palettes; try to respect that multiplicity rather than judging just because it doesn’t go with the flavours of your region or the few only ones you are aware of.

Very yummy food, we had the okra and eggplant curries. Naan bread is a huge portion and also delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable and the service was amazing.

Ordered Biryani , panir tikka masala 2 days ago. The owner is so kind that he gave a naan bread for free. It was so tasty. And the portion of biryani was also big. I was very hungry, still I could not complete the full portion. And the panir tikka masala was also very delicious... Highly recommended... 5️⃣star... without any doubt. Keep it up.

My family and I came to Montreal from Toronto for vacation. We did some sightseeing, went shopping for a while and wanted a nice place to have late lunch. We found this place and had a very pleasant experience. It wasn’t too busy at the time of the day so we were able to sit at the second level which, aesthetically was nice. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and were great with helping us with the menu. The food was great, we really enjoyed the Indian flavour. Overall the restaurant was a wonderful way for us to end our day.

The butter chicken here is nearly PERFECT.I am absolutely addicted to it. They’ve absolutely nailed it here.I’ve gotten some bigger portions elsewhere for the same price, but damn does it not matter when the taste here is just top notch.I can’t be bothered to try anything else from here because the butter chicken is just too good and just hits the spot every single time.

Its great, on this pandemic situation I ordered some of my favorite Indian dishes from Mysore. Specially Beef Vindaloo, butter chicken and Cheese Naan are really good. its come enough hot. and they give me some discount.

We are cousins visit this weekend to this restaurant. Its first time in Montreal I got real Indian food. Specially their tandoori chicken with Naan. Chicken was well cooked and soft naan. And sauce was mouthwatering. I loved it.Staff are so nice, friendly. Finally received 15% discount card for next visit.

Best East Indian food on the plateau. Best palak paneer I have ever tried, garlic naan was INSANE, fluffy rice, delicious curries, big chunks of skewered meat in the sauces. It’s not a cheap little lunch place: it’s for when you want really good food, in which you can taste the complexity of the spice blends. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant with delicious food. We are group of six co-worker visit Mysore last week. We tested different items- chicken tikka, butter chicken, lamb biriyani are really delicious. Chicken was well marinated and cooked nicely. We love their food. Staff are very friendly.

Ive ordered a few times from Mysore and Ive never been disappointed. That is, until tonight. I was in the middle of eating my butter chicken and almost cracked a tooth! There was a small, hard, piece of plastic in my food!! :( I hope this was an isolated incident. I couldnt finish my plate, very upsetting.

I cant believe that some people complained about the service - these guys always treat me and my friends like royalty.Its my husband and Its #1 date place, not just because they hosted our wedding reception but because the food is authentic and delicious without completely breaking the bank. The dining experience you get is worth so much more than you pay for. The atmosphere is perfect, the waiters are attentive, and the food tastes fresh and bold just like you woudl expect from an Indian Restaurant.

This is a good place to go for lunch. You get a really decent lunch menu that includes some soup, rice, salad, and the main dish of your choice. Naan is extra. The best thing about this place is its relatively quiet so its perfect for having a meeting and being able to converse easily.

I am suspicious about the bad reviews, most of them are written by people with Indian names, probably owners of other restaurants giving them bad reviews for their own benefit. That place has been open for over 20 years...there must be a reason.

Really bad service. they are too disrespectful to their customers. i ordered vegetarian food and they gave me non vegetarian food. As other people have mentioned, they behave very rudely with their customers. there are even better Indian restaurant than mysore on saint Laurent.

I am usually a very tolerant person but i was proved wrong at my visit to Mysore Restaurant (BTW the restaurant has nothing to do with Mysore/India). The so called food (Poor quantity) took way too long to arrive and except for the DAL, all the dishes were a complete disaster to be precise. We ordered their special Chicken Jalfrezi which was smelling and tasting like BACON!! I was asked for a feedback by the staff of the restaurant and when i gave my honest opinion, they were reluctant to even consider it. Their response was this is our best dish, this is the first complaint we have received in 18 years!!!In sum, i am never going back to this place and would recommend not to spoil your evening by going there.

Restaurant Mysore is a very good place to dine with family. Service is very friendly, and food is very flavorful. Definitely a must for those who are enthusiasts for good Indian food!

The food is delicious and the staff is very very kind, its my go to whenever i feel like eating indian in the plateau! Its also super quick whenever we order to take out (20min). Try the fish curry!

Got delivery. Really not impressed.The man taking my order on the phone sounded bitter and irritated, like I was ruining their day by calling to place an order.The vegetable pakora tasted decent, but seemed like it had been sitting kept warm for a long for a while. Chewy more so than crispy.The butter chicken curry was very runny, and had been leaking out of its container and through the paper bag. It was overly sweet, almost candy-like.The naan bread also felt like it had been kept warm for a while, or that it was undercooked.Admittedly, the rice was very good, but I am very unimpressed by the rest of my food.

We were asked to leave the restaurant because we wanted to share a dish between two people. And we were a group of eight. The restaurant had barely any tables filled at the time! It was pretty much the worst experience Ive ever had in a restaurant in Montreal and Ive eaten out considerably in the last four years.

I went there in November 2009 and was thrilled to find a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan choices on the menu. It was inexpensive (many large dishes under 10$) and delicious. The Chana Masala is a definite must for anyone trying this restaurant out for the first time. Excellent service & nice ambiance! Highly recommended. Definitely one of the top Indian restaurants in Montreal.

Worst experience ever....I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone....Service is too slow, it takes 1 hour to serve the meal, waiters are very rude, you will have to walk to the front counter if you need a desert or anything else and last but not the least- waiters/service staff wont let you leave the restaurant until you tip them for the bad service. You will get better service in the pizza shop next door. Waiters wont even hesitate to pass racial comments if you dont tip them properly!! so guys and girls be aware!!!

Not even close to authentic Indian cuisine. The Restaurant name Mysore prompt on the search South Indian Cuisine. This place dont serve South Indian food. I wont suggest anyone to go there.

Disappointing overall. Dont be fooled by the name, the food available has nothing to do with Mysore. Furthermore, the quality of food was also not good. Lot of food color that wont come off your hands easily and inferior quality lacking true indian flavours.

I made delivery and it fast 45min to 1h . It taste really good (more European/us Indian taste ) maybe a little bit expensive for what you get but its good. butter chicken is one of the best I know.

The food is solid but the naan is exceptional.

Ordinary food. What seems like frozen cubes of chicken added to your Curries and Biryani. No flavour in it. Short Cut cooking. It shows. Servers also probably judgmental in nature. I paid yesterday and the staff added the tip themselves and showed me the card reader at the point where I just needed to enter the pin.

Probably the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. Really expensive for sub par food, $15 + $3.5 for curry and rice. Had chicken tikka masala and Butter Chicken. Will never go their again. Please do not make the same mistake I did!

Ive being a long time customer. The food is good for amaricanised Indian.But.... one time they took more tip than Ive put on the receipt. (they gave rebate on next order once exposed). Got 3 times the wrong order on delivery also. Now they tell me that they dont deliver to my neighborhood anymore... ok... I understand, but dont make me feel bad about it on the phone and dont hang up on me impolitly (P.S. Im by no mean impolite or disrespectful with them on the phone or to the delivery person. Not a South-Indian restaurant as the name suggests. Good North Indian Food. We ordered a take-out. The parathas were great. Biryani, Okra sabji were mediocre. Paneer was good. Good value for money.
