I dined-in today at this place with my friends. I have ordered bhaji pav, bhel, samosa, kathi roll, rose shake and gulab jamun.Honestly other than gulab jamun I didn’t like anything. Each and every dish was sour. More than necessary lemon and imli chutney in everything.Rose shake was the worst. Very very sour. Bhaji pav was also very sour. Kathi roll was okay.Compare to other places, the price is very high and the food taste is very bad.The interior was very good. They tried to give bombay street style experience. With interior you can definitely feel like that. But with food taste not at all.

Loved the concept and the small menu. The attempt at doing something different was good, however, tons of room for improvement. We ordered the #2 & #4 - the meat was extremely dry as Id it had been sitting for a while under hear. The bowl was sweet and I was expecting a burst of flavor - nothing. The falooda we ordered was watery, the basil seeds hadnt expanded and the noodles inside were hard. Great attempt but overall tons of room for improvement.

I approached Chaska for catering my party on a short notice and they really went above and beyond to make my event a success. They gave me good suggestions and helped me pick the items and also customized the taste based on our suggestions. Manpreet from catering needs special recognition as he made sure the food was delivered to my place in a warmer. He was in constant communication with us and that way we were not stressed at all about the food and we could focus on other things. He also went above and beyond to send us a complimentary drink which was a good one during the hot summer. When someone goes above and beyond so much, words are not enough to appreciate what they have done. Food was amazing too and my guests loved all the items. People loved having authentic Indian street food and were raring to go the restaurant to try other items on their menu.I highly recommend this place to all foodies.

Excellent choice for tasty and filling vegan (and non-vegan) takeout near the Toronto Airport! The samosas and samosa sliders were particularly delicious! We found the portion-sizes generous and excellent value for money. The location is also sparkling clean and easy to access if staying in one of the nearby airport hotels. The manager was particularly polite and helpful and knowledgeable about vegan items on the menu. Veg kebab and sikh kebab could fool any meat-lover. Thanks for the great food and experience!

I wish I can give 0 star but anyways, this was my first time and it will be my last time also. The food was not fresh at all, I ordered panner tikka bowl with side of samosa which was soggy not crispy at all and pav bhaji both were tasteless and sour. When I complained about the pav bhaji that it taste little bit sour the (server)guy with the cap gave me the rudest reply oh I tasted it and like it and stormed out with the attitude no sorry nothing at all. Afterwards I talked to elder guy thought that he might be wiser, I told him the food was bad and not fresh at all, he asked me where Am I from? I did not like that question. So I think they are only targeting “their kind of people” when I complained about the other server he said oh he is the best and he get so many good reviews. They actually didn’t take my any complaints seriously. So guys if you’re looking for the good Indian street food and good customer service trust me this is not the right place for you.

Chaska means addictive taste. Ive had various chaats from here. It may not be addictive but its pretty decent. Some places put too much spices in the chaats but this place makes decent flavourful chaats. Cutting chai is strong and goes well with it. This time I had Bhel Chaat and it was delicious. The staff is respectful and makes sure your order is completed on time. The ambience is what makes this place stand out compared to other similar places. It has the street corner feeling. The front counter looks like a food truck. The service is good and prompt. The lighting and ambience makes it a fun hangout place for buddies once Covid restrictions are lifted.I would have given 4.5 stars but Google doesnt let you do partial ratings.

Small portions, high price, below average taste, and very limited menu options. The menu pictures are misleading. Where in the world you get Pavbhaji without onion? And the so called kahi roll... a pita rolled with paneer for 10 bucks? Not at all worth in any aspect. Grilled platter provides just a few pieces.Basically you pay for the money they spent on interior. Not going here ever again. There are plenty of t better options around.

Cant believe the arrogance of the staff. After spending close to $50 (amongst 2 people) which is considerably alot and ordering more than 3 dishes, we requested the staff to give us some extra chutney to compliment our platter, and they asked us to pay $2. Not only that we were very polite about it and the guy on the other side was super rude. Very unimpressed and disappointed with the customer service and the way they behaved with a paying customer. Street food in India, even if not prepared in the most hygienic of conditions, was always a hit. And Chaska has done a great job in recreating that, albeit in very hygienic conditions. The decor is an amazing recreation of the Indian roadside dhaba. The menu is excellent and brings back memories. My favorite here is the Chicken Kathi Roll. I cannot stop at one (which is the right portion). They have a salad bowl but it is good to avoid. I mean, why go in for a salad when you have so many other options.Do not forget their Rose Lassi. Topping off a nice spicy Kathi Roll with this Lassi is a great treat foe lunch or dinner.Worth going back again.

I came here because I loved the photos on Yelp. I was quite disappointed once I tasted the food.First off, their pricing is deceptive. They should make the difference between veggie, non-veggie options more clear. You might think youre paying $12 for a combo, but in fact, youre paying $15 because you failed to read the fine print and understand how their pricing works. Make your prices as easy to understand as at McDonalds.Second, the grill platter came with dry chicken, dry paneer and mediocre lamb. My paratha was thin and dry too. I can make a better paratha at home with store-bought frozen 5-pack which I pan-fry for several minutes. The rice bowl with samosa was tastier and if I ever go back (which most likely aint happening) I might order that one.Third, the chai is so small, it almost feels like a sample and it costs $2. To me, it seems like a rip-off. Id omit this if it tasted good, but it doesnt. The best chai Ive had was at Bhais Indian Canteenjust off of Highway 7 in Richmond Hill.I love Indian food and maybe this restaurant has a loyal following of Indian people who nostalgically long for Indian street food. Maybe, they do a good job of replicating some of the Indian street food in its authentic way, but it just doesnt cut it for me. Next time, Im going to Daal Roti, because I know that I can always expect good quality Indian food there, albeit vegetarian-only. Thats ok. I like vegetarian food too.
