The location is a little hard to expect for such a good restaurant and this could be the USP of the place as well.Have been here numerous times with friends and family and never have been disappointed by food quality.Fish thali seems like the signature dish but you must try all the other listed dishes on the menu, believe me.You must however check the final bill as mistakes there are pretty frequent. Have happened with me some times, rich people dont mid to tally. 😒

This restaurant is inside Govt Guest house. Its a Nice place to eat tasty meals. I had ordered the popular thali, a Big thali which is called Bhatkar Thali ! had to wait 15mins for thali which consist of 27 dishes in total - 5 fish(mourala fry, sole fish , king fish fry & masala and dried prawns Sukka), 2 chicken dishes , mutton masala , Squid masala , 2 egg dishes( omelette & boiled), 1 Veg( brinjal bhaji) 1 Papad, 1 roti, 1 puranpoli, 1 fish cutlet, crab Sukka, 2 bowl tisreo(clams) Sukka, 3 sweet dishes (poss/kharwas( made from cow colostrum), murmura laddu & kheer ), rice & gravy ,pickle & salads & kokum juice! Ordered the Bhatkar Thali.. It was a good experience.. The thali is sufficient for 3 people... & The Oysters that we ordered were also fresh.. So I would give them a thumbs up..Now lets see the negative part .. the wait time is too long.. Less wait staff.. Had to wait for our orders & also for bill...& Seasoning on the food needs to be checked..They should also accept card payments...Hoping for a better experience next time..

This neat restaurant is located inside government guest house, little tricky to locate. They serve fusion Goan cuisine. Food is good and friendly staff. They are the few restaurants who serve uraq at the restaurant. They should improve on dessert section though as they serve ready made desserts.

I visited this place with my family.We tried the fish Thali and the Bhatkar ThaliThe Bhatkar Thali had a lot of items ranging from kingfish to prawns to shellfish and even egg and chicken. The fish curry especially was delicious.

This is a very good restaurant in margao. The food choices are splendid. Mostly serve thali in afternoons. The drink prices are moderate. The food servings for main course are pretty big. There is ample parking for vehicles. Credit cards are accepted.

Visited this restaurant in the afternoon for lunch.Ordered slice softdrink(₹30) and lime soda(₹50) as refreshers.The mutton biryani (₹300) and Veg thali (₹200) were that of main course.The prices seem a bit too expensive for the dishes. As for the drink, the lime soda as was served was over priced. The mutton biryani seemed to lack a few spices. The ambience is calm and cool.

Looks like this property is owned by Goa Government. Pleasant ambiance. They also have a small and beautiful bar. They offer authentic Goan cuisines. Tried Goan King Fish Thali. They also offered Prawns, Crab and Seashell curry along with the Thali.

We have been frequent to this place when it started, but our recent visit was a huge disappointment. The quality and quantity of the food doesnt keep up with what they charge. We were served stale fish fry, which was replaced on complaining. We ordered Chicken salt and pepper which used to be very delicious before, but this time it was just boiled Chicken with garlic and pepper.. we used to love their tikka biryani so went ahead and ordered that turned out to be the biggest disappointment. While leaving from there it felt like we ate nothing for the amount we paid. Disappointing, and might never visit this restaurant again.

Worst restaurant, totally overrated. Ambience is good but the food sucks. We ordered manchao soup which was good. Service is fine too. But Malai Tikkas had too much salt. Calamari / Squids batter fry had so much oil that I could feel the oiliness in my mouth. We couldnt even eat more than 2 pieces. Even Chicken Tikka masala had a layer of oil which we have to separate using a spoon. I have the images attached.Added to that Card machine wasnt working we had to go all the way near BPS club to get cash

Tried out their Bhatkar Fish thali here... A variety of fish such as Squids, Prawns, Velli, Lepo in small quantity... They provide 1 refreshing drink, 2 chicken gravy dishes, 3 sweet dish, Fish curry with rice, kismoor, crab masala, Boiled egg, Egg omelette, papad... Felt a bit overpriced... They provided just 1 roti for 2 chicken gravy dishes... Quantity of fish fries provided could be improved...

Ordered the Kalwa fry and the bhatkar thali, the Kalwa fry dish was good. Experience with the bhatkar thali was however bad. There were a total of 20+ items in the thali however some items were just added to increase the count on the plate. There were 3 items of chicken, all of which were dry. The rice and prawn curry were good. The kheer was watery and had really less vermicelli basically watery milk. The puran poli was stale. The best part was the kokum drink.Besides the food the service was pathetic, only 2 waiters waiting on the entire restaurant, order was taken late and we had to call out for the waiter 2-3 times for every request.

I used to be a frequent visitor but I now onwards Ill never ever walk in here. When restaurant was newly opened the quality of food and service was really good. Now the taste, service, quality has degraded drastically. Soup which is supposed to be served at the beginning is served after the starters. The authentic Goan dishes are missing the taste and Chinese fast food items are served with in 10mins of poor quality. I really doubt the quality of oil used.

The food was excellent and Thali was very reasonable for the variety they offered.Pro tip: We reached there almost during closing time and they offered extra dishes at the same price(p.s.:may not work always:p)

Was amazing experience

Service was poor - the waiters had no clues as to which tables are assigned to them; food was salty; and the dessert which is part of the Fish Thali was served on request, that too when we asked the owner if there were any desserts available to order.Table covers were dirty with curry stains / food debris accumulated from the previous evenings service!The worst part is as per the image where the bag of Onions was left on the ground in the open for peeling - wonder what else goes on behind the scenes...could be pathetic....

Visited This place recently to try out their bhatkar thali! I actually expected it to be a regular thali.but I was surprised! It was a massive thali! With over 27 elements in it!! It had everything! From fish to prawns to chicken to eggs plus prawns cutlet, 3 Varieties of fried fish, 2 types of chicken gravies, 3-4 dessert options, sol kadi plus kokum sarbat for a drink! This thali can easily be shared by 4 people!!

Good place, reservations not needed. They have a wide variety and staff is courteous as well. Every thing that we ordered was good except the stuffed squids. The rates are reasonable as well.
