It has changed a lot. Its not authentic, but its more visitor friendly and we dont have to do much research or homework on the author or the place, since the place itself has all the info given there. Its beauty as an old relic is gone but its a new kind of beauty altogether I suppose.

Neat and very well maintained area. Close to this heritage place is the house where Mr. O.V.Vijayan lived. Readers and literature lovers will really like this place.

A really beautiful place to visit. It is a small house which used to store rice grams and now the committee has renovated the area and beautified to give a new look

I had a very good experience from the vist to khasak. The beauty and the ambience of the place cannot be described in words. Its just awesome. Enjoyed my day with frnds. The plot and setting of the book khasaknde ithihasam is still preserved there, you can feel the connection between the places from the book once you read the book before you make your visit.

A literary place to visit. Has slide shows on O V Vijayan in a small room with a collection of his cartoons . The place has stone carvings of the various characters in his famous malayalam novel Khasakinte itihasam ( translated as Legends of Khasak in English by the author himself).It is believed that the novel was written when the author lived in this place. People who have read the novel would find an immediate connect.
