Experienced very comfortable stay in the heart of Mangalore city at Verda Saffron. Located in midst of the main market and easily accessible to all amenities - food, ATM, shopping etc. The basement parking is a plus given the location in a busy area. The service was excellent and I would like to complement Mr Upendra Singh Rawat (GM) and his team for ensuring the room was available on time as requested. The food ordered from their in-house Spice restaurant was good. The centrally air conditioned room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was spic and span and no complaints whatsoever. The view from the window may not be great and it overlooks an old dilapidated Janata Bazar building. The hotel is situated bang opposite the iconic Ganapathy School which is nestled in the midst of greenery with eye catching Mangalore tile roofs. A total VALUE FOR MONEY property.

Ideally 5 star experience, barring one incident wherein one employee from the F&B attempted to cheat us with some extra billing. We extended the stay for another day in the same hotel based on our great experience on day 1. The entire staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. The rooms were spacious, bathroom was clean and amenities were as promised. Since we were family of five, we were given two rooms with interconnecting door. A cot was provided for the extra bed/person. On day 2, the f&b person tried to overbill our dinner. The rate mentioned on the card was different from the bill by atleast Rs 5 - Rs 35 on every item!! When countered, he came out with the lamest of lame excuses. This bad experience shouldnt take away the great professionalism and hospitality exercised by the rest of the staff. There is a basement parking which can accommodate 5-6 cars, however the climb out is pretty steep. May be 3-4 cars can be parked outside the hotel entrance. The food was pretty good in the in-house spice restaurant. Food lovers may find the menu limited, but the quality and hospitality will surely make up for that. Very good hotel, hygiene level is very good, neat and clean rooms. limited item in breakfast but you will get decent breakfast. dinner you can try outside as many good hotels are nearby where you will get Arabian food Punjabi restaurants and you will get few veg restaurants as well this hotel is centre of the city and City Mall is just 200 metre from here nearby you can get so many shopping also. Railway station is nearby from here airport also not far from here.

Had a great and pleasant stay at Verda Saffron. The staffs were so polite and humble and overall a great hospitality. The rooms are clean and neat and it was also spacious. Bathroom is well maintained with all necessary kits available all the time. With the status of 3 star, they reach the expectations of the guest and the pricing is also nominal. As it is situated at the centre place of the city, transport facility is available easily. Overall a highly recommended place to have a awesome stay and its definitely a VFM. I also thank Mr.Upendra for organizing a pleasant stay at the hotel :)

You need to be smart here. If you throw enough tantrums, chances are that youll get a good room. I had to be persistent for almost 8-hours... And food is just okay, nothing too great!

The best in its way....It was a very nice hotel to stay. Apart from good rooms, spacious accommodation, the hospitality of the saffron who was in reception was very much appreciable. They were very gentle, polite & helping nature & accomodative which v seldom seens in others. I really appreciate their gentleness. Nice comfortable stay at one of Mangalores most central locations. Good clean spacious rooms. Room No 311 has a scenic beach sunset view at a distance. Nice tasty food menu. Outside food not allowed at this place. Young friendly reception staff. Can improve on the Wi-Fi range at places. The AC control inside rooms is also at an uncomfortable height. Overall a good hotel.

Amazing hotel for the price paid. Our manager Upendra was gentle and always available since the time of booking. The chef Sethuraman was amazing who customized our food based on our requirements. Restaurant has good ambience with polite staffs. Room service is excellent. Response from reception and other staffs are excellent too. Laundry facilities available, worth the money and on time. Free wifi. No non-sense people around. Rooms are spacious, good infra and furnishing. Hygenic washrooms and good cleaning. Perfect location for sightseeing manglore. Overall a perfect and memorable stay. Will definitely stay there everytime I visit manglore.

Old building with some makeover in interior, some vibration noise are coming in room we had change our room but some time also felt like still vibration is happening. This is a good hotel with value for money. They have connected rooms which our kids enjoyed between 2 families. But the car parking in front of hotel is not even and our sedan got hit couple of times. Room service opens at 7-7:30am. Morning Tea not available earlier than that. It has good hotels like ideal cafe, pallkhe nearby. Kudroli temple is very nearby. So, it has good advantages location wise. Staff are polite. But bill preparation took lot of time around 15-20min. Really frustrating as we were in a hurry to leave.

Ac not cooling, Age old structure done some cosmetic work . Corridors are not lighted . A restaurant working on roof top under tin sheet ,claiming air conditioned but its heat conditioned. Never believe in reviews ,as one review claim its boutique hotel.
