A beautiful place in old lucknow. The imambara consist of a Hammam(royal bathroom) , a replica of Taj Mahal which used to be the tomb of princess Asiya Begum and the building of imambara. The place is well maintained with all adequate facility and there is no need to buy seprate ticket as the ticket of bada imambara includes this place.
Its Chhota Imambara and situated walk able distance from Bada Imambara. Its like bade miya & chhote miya. Bada with huge crowd and bigger in size. Chhota have less crowd small size. Both are different from each other & you should visit both places. Specially if you are not from Lucknow. 1 ticket is valid for both places.
Its a beautiful white monument and has the thrown of awadh in the main building. There is a mosque and makbara along with imambara. Its so beautiful with amazing garden😍.Loved all the chandeliers😍.If you buy ticket for bada Imambara, that ticket you can use for here too.Guide not be needed for this one
One of the main tourism place to visit in lucknow.Best architecture work by nawab of lucknow. It is situated near the clock tower of lucknow. Environment is so soothing and calm here that you can spend your whole day. And here is a bonus point that if you have taken bada imambara ticket then there is no need to buy ticket for this place, just show them the bada imambara ticket.
The Chota Imambara has beautiful architecture and has potential to be scenic with some improvements and maintenance. The big drawback like most historical places is it lacks proper maintenance. The electrical wires in front of these structures restrict people from capturing the beauty in pictures..Worth a visit if you are exploring Lucknow!!
Beautiful place to visit. Beauty of lucknow
Well its also a good place for photographs only as its not such a huge place. As clearly mentioned in its name it is chota Small place to click some nice shots nothing much you see. But here youll find some good piece of art work done on masjids specially those black and white craft done on center attraction and the roof is decorated by lots of crystals. Photography was bit allowed inside the mosque else I would have shown here too. And you can find one completely white mosque too here.
The Chhota Imambara was initially a congregation hall for Shia Muslims that was built by Muhammad Ali Shah, who was the third Nawab of Awadh, in 1838. The Imambara was to serve as his own mausoleum as well as that of his mother, who is buried beside him in this prestigious monument. The Imambara is beautifully adorned with decorations and chandeliers at the time of special festivals, especially Muharram. In fact, this 19th-century building is also referred to as the Palace of Lights by European visitors and writers because of the profuse decorations of the monument at specific events.#ChotaImambara
Its also a beautiful landscape, one must visit in Lucknow. The architecture is mesmerizing as well. Really unforgettable tomb which architecture is beyond our imagination. The chandeliers specially from Japan and Turkey are center of attraction.
Very very good looking monument ,,must go and see the beauty

Such a beautiful place 😊😊 And Amazing Architecture
A beautiful place indeed! Its smaller scale with respect to bada imambara makes it easy to remember, it is beautifully decorated and well maintained with chandeliers, domes and minarets, inside the building lies the tomb of the nawab of awadh and artifacts belonging to him. To preserve peace and order photography is not allowed inside the tomb complex. The most beautiful thing to note is the calligraphy of Islamic verses written on the walls of the complex it is beautiful. All in all it is a must visit place if you are in Lucknow.
Its a historical place you can actually go there and know about the history of Awadh..its really really interesting.. Im sure youre going to love it
Must visit historical place if you are in Lucknow.
Its so beautiful with amazing garden😍.Loved all the chandeliers😍.Must visit this place if you are in lucknow
Chota Imambara looks excellent in view. The ticket can be withdrawn directly from the bada imambada or you can purchase a separate ticket there itself. Inside it you will find a masjid, two other monuments built like tajmahal and another monument which has old things like mirror, jhoomar and other things from other countries.
Beautiful and peaceful place to be at especially in the morning. Have touch of Mugal period, which makes it interesting place for people who loves to know about Indian history.
Most popular and peaceful place in Lucknow and the Mosque inside is mesmerizing. Do visit this place if you are new to Lucknow
Maintenance still needed around the building.Amazing architecture
Was good ... But more ly need cleanliness and for visitors we should atleast follow rules and regulations .
Beautiful historical place to be. One should take a guide for not only listening the history but for getting good family pictures.
The Chhota Imambara, or the Imambara of Hussainabad, is one of the most beautiful and attractive buildings in the old city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. This imposing monument lies to the west of Bara Imambara and is a true sight to behold. In fact, this 19th-century building is also referred to as the Palace of Lights by European visitors and writers because of the profuse decorations of the monument at specific events. It is a beautiful amalgam of Charbagh, Indo-Islamic and Persian structural and architectural designs. The exterior is complete with Quranic verses which are written in Islamic calligraphy on the walls of the monument. However, it is not just the exterior of the Imambara which catches the fancy of the eager visitors. Even the interiors of the monument are designed and maintained with intricate details and utmost care.
The forts build by nawabs is marvelous but the management of the place is not properly maintained.
It looks historical, pieceful, with better architecture....you have to go there 💞
Beutiful hallmark of ancient naval architecture. A must visit place in Lko
This is a heritage site and UP Govt has done an excellent job by making brick roads.Actually kadenje pe chalne ki feel aati hai.The place is got some very old markets and the Imambara itself is an achitectural miracle.Must visit if in Lucknow.
Chota Imambara is nearly located to bada Imambara. It is not closed on Friday and it is so beautiful. Never seen such a beautiful chandelier before the architecture of this place is commendable. As it is a religious place females are not allowed to enter bare head they have to put chunni to cover their head. Parking facilities are available there. A mesmerizing place to visit.
Unlike Bada Imambara, Chota Imambara is more of religious than architectural marval. Although the Shia Muslim worship place is beautiful and artistic but for a non religious person it has nothing of interest. Dont ignore it when you are in Lucknow but you wont love it like Bada Imambara
Near to bada Imambara.... Nice place to visit and half an hour is enough to visit this place.... Mini Taj Mahal and a mosque also there...
This place is awesome with great capture as you can see.
Mughal$ have engraved there presence in this sand of awad

Peaceful place...
Well maintained historical property.
Ok but can be avoided. Visit only if you have time to spare.
Nice place. The guide inside can help a lot. Can complete visit inna short period unlike bara Imambara. Has Shia religious importance.
What is an Imambara? An imambara is basically a congregation hall for Shia Muslims. Imambaras are also called ashurkhana, imambaragah or hussainia where religious ceremonies (mainly Muharram observances) happen. Imambara is not exactly a mosque and weekly Friday prayers might not take place in some imambaras.Chotah Imambara is known for its five arching doorways- emphasising on the importance of the Panjetan or Pentagon- the significant religious leader of Islam- the Holy 5 namely Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Fatima, Hazrat Hassan and Hazrat Hussain. The doorways are also detailed in verses from the holy Quran which are written in calligraphic Arabic script. The Chota Imambara houses two replicas of the Taj Mahal in Agra. These replicas stand as the mausoleums of Princess Zinat, daughter of Nawab Muhammad Ali Shah and her husband.
Place gives different vibe to soul, love to visit since 2012.
This is historic and well maintained. You will find mosque, old bath place of Imam and family, the drainage system, and the collection of Jhumar are breathtaking. The art and culture had a glimpse over there. The white color monument is worth watching. With just Rs. 20/- or Rs. 50/- guide are available there only. This is very close to Rumi Darwaja, Bada Immamwada , clock house etc. If you have tickets for Bada Immamwada, then that will work for Chota Immamwada. Entry closes at 5:00 pm, so have a watch on time. You can have some good Moghlai food nearby. Need to decongest the area with less vehicles. Frequent passenger auto are available.
Good but not maintain cleaning and buildings

Chota imambara
Imambara enhances the beauty of Lucknow, we are very happy luck who live near Imam Bada.
Its a Place of Worship and whenever I came Here i really loved it and feeling relaxed...
Located near to the Bada Imambara, ypu got to cross tge Rumi darwaza to reach the place. A beautiful place, with picturesque environment, beautiful architectural designs, and details. Also surrounding the place are beautiful gardens. The design and layout of each of the items have a distinct reason and definition.
Go there to have a close look on beautiful chandeliers. Such amazing glass works.
When I first visited Chhota Imambara, I realized that Lucknow is actually the city of Nawab. Very well designed and it is also a religious place
