Service was good 4.5 out of 5; food was okay, wasnt as authentic as what I expected, especially for the jungle curry that we have ordered... 3.5 out of 5; Dessert was really disappointing apart from the presentation, tiramisu tasted like a coffee cake, cheese cake doesnt taste like homemade, 2 out 5 for dessert. Overall experience should be 3.5 out 5.

Food dissapointing. My curry was a running soup with no substance. Two small pieces of tofu, about 50 grams of bamboo and a chopped carrot. Underwhelming. A cup of steamed rice. They give you heaps of rice hoping you dont notice the lack of ingredients.

Delicious food and my order has never been wrong which is more than I can say for most restaurants I’ve eaten at. They have many vegan options and most people there seem to easily understand what that means. A bit expensive but worth it on the odd occasion.

Its OK. Reasonable prices for food thats pretty good.The place can get quite busy and quite loud because of the open room.BYOB is a plus

Not happy with the service. Collected our takeaway after a hectic day and grocery shopping. After going home , when I opened to eat, it was not what I ordered. Gave me a wrong item . When called, they said they cant drop it off and have to go and collect it. Such a horrible service.

Waste of money. Really disappointing. Pprk ribs and chicken wings starters were terrible. Pad thai was OK, lemon chicken was a small. Portion and very under whelming.

Visited with my partner recently and had a lovely experience. Vibrant atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff... ordered the satay chicken stir fry and it was great. Considering it was busy we got our food promptly too. Will definitely be going back!

Absolutely appalling experience towards my mother. Had a reservation for 7 and manager refused, had no interest in accommodating for our elderly grandmother who was an extra we politely asked for. Without a second consideration, total dismissed us. For customer who have been going here for years, it is utterly disappointed to see this attitude, to not only us, but also other customers! 1/5 stars! The mannerism that was used was atrocious.

Nice venue with modern decor. Food is ok and reasonably authentic. Had the hot jungle pork curry, wasnt overly spicy so most people can handle it. It was nice enough but nothing to raveService was slow, even for a Saturday night and the background music was more suitable for a dance club than an authentic Vietamese resteraunt. Made the vibe of the place more of a new restaurant trying too hard, rather than a good authentic resteraunt that everyone wants to go to.Going by the high number of recommendations I think I will go again just to ensure it is actually good, and also to try their Laksa.

In short? Go elsewhere.My wife and I arrived on the dot for 7.30pm booking. We ordered our food 10 minutes later. The spring rolls didnt take long to arrive and were ok, however the mains took about another 45 minutes to arrive at our table. We ordered the Chicken Thai Green curry and Tofu Singapore Satay Stir fry. The stir fry tasted like the veges and tofu had been cooked in one pan for about 5 minutes and the satay sauce in a separate pot, then thrown together for 1 minute and dumped on the plate. Barely cooked and very bland tasting. The curry was mildly better, but barely cooked. I suspect after we politely asked where our meals were thay they decided to hurry it up and deliver it to our table ASAP. For $24 a meal I expect a lot better, especially when K Sing, Ayutthaya Thai & Siam Spoon all make similar food, much much better and for cheaper. Would be a 1 star rating, but I appreciate the 50% off I was given on the stir fry when I told the waiter how disappointing it was.

Nicely appointed and clearly popular Asian fusion style with a slant towards Vietnamese. Food was nice and well presented, although the spring rolls fell a little short of the genuine ones found in Vietnam. However they do have genuine, hard to find Vietnamese beer, A nice spot. Reccomended.

Food ok - roti disapointing it was thin like a cracker and didnt like the fact that we arrived before another couple who were seated next to us and then were served before us as well!?

Food was slow at arriving half our party had finished by the time our mains arrived after having to chase them up more than once. Music very loud especially when restaurant is full u have to shout just to talk around your table, we found the lighting very dark too. Most food is spicy even the mildso not a kid friendly place.

We have been to Buddha Stix several times before and had a great meal and service. However this time the service and delays were appalling. There were 17 of us for a 7.15 booking. We werent shown our seats, we didnt receive our main meals until 9.10! (Also the web site said we had to be vacated by 9.15) The tables we not cleared of empty bottles, We had to ask for plates and they were dumped in the middle. We had to ask for drinks. The quality of the food was well below normal standards. We will not be going back and will be telling our friends to by pass-

There are alot of gluten free options at this restaurant and all of the food we ordered was just delicious. They could improve their gluten free dessert range though. Its not difficult to buy gf ice-cream. Looking forward to eating there again

Buddha Stix Wellington is a really nice place to visit. The staff are really helpful and the meals are very nice. Will be going there again.

With a full house, the staff were prompt, friendly and delivered everything requested. Gorgeous setting. Food was full of flavour and texture was great.

I love eating here whenever I am in Wellington for business. Padang curry is the best, and chefs are willing to substitute chicken for beef cheeks which is my preference. Great staff, friendly, efficient and remember my favourite wine.

Lovely meal a d surroundings

Dinner was great! Panang curry and one of the stir fries were delicious. But then things went downhill. Was busy so did take awhile but cleared out by time we had finished meal. Were keen on some dessert but were very slow clearing plates, maybe 30 min. Asked for a couple of minutes to choose dessert but turned into 15. Ordered cheesecake and coffee but cheesecake was still in freezer.... so just had coffee.... but something wasnt right with the coffee.... milk off maybe?? I didnt finish it. Disappointing end to what was a great night.

The MOST unprofessional experience I have EVER had at a restaurant in my life. We waited 20 minutes before our order was even taken, had to ask three times for water and when our mains finally came out, over an hour after ordering, the quality was average at best for the price. When we went to pay, we requested to us a Dine In card. The young girl who was serving us didn’t know how to process the payment using this type of card and went and asked another lady for assistance. The other lady hastily came out of the kitchen, didn’t even acknowledge us and then proceeded to show the young girl how to process the payment in the most rude, abrupt way. After paying, we made a simple comment to the lady that she didn’t need to be so rude to the young girl and the lady proceeded to YELL AT US across the counter saying ‘we didn’t know the full story’, that we were sad and silly - we responded saying how disappointing her lack of professionalism was and that speaking that way to staff in front of customers is inappropriate but she continued to argue rudely with us in a raised voice in front of the remaining customers at the restaurant. It was a truly disturbing experience that left us shocked.

Terrible experience. We were a large table of 16 that made a booking on 27 October. When we arrived they had no record booking, so had to cobble a large round table and then long tables off it, So the seating arrangement was not idea. Due t our size we were only allowed to order off a set menu, which was acceptable. But it took them forever to take our drinks orders, and we had to remind them on several occasions. This happened through out the evening. when they came to take any drinks orders, they would fail to look down the other end of the tables to see if any other drinks ere wanted. The meal itself was pretty underwhelming. The Pad Thai soggy. The red curry and chicken and cashews was ok. If your a big table best to call ahead to make sure they have you booked in

It’s okIf you’ve never had Thai or Asian food generally, it’s a good first start. However as someone who’s been to all the countries they serve food from, I was... whelmed. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t... “good”.The Thai green curry was watery but tasty, the spring rolls were small, no vegetables in sight, but also tasty. I don’t have anything more than a slightly underwhelmed response. It’s essentially a western attempt at Asian food (even though I’m fairly sure the chefs are from somewhere in Asia): aimed at a western palette. In Petone there are far better restaurants with Asian cuisine at a much lower price, I suggest giving some others a try if you’re more acquainted with Asian food.

Went along on Wednesday night with my partner who ordered Tom Yum soup and I ordered the Chicken Cashew Nut dish.My partners dish tasted and looked like a watered down tomato soup. The vegetables were raw and crunchy, I had to speak up and send the dish back.My dish was average at best, very bland.Buddha Stix used to be good a few years back, but it has got progressively worse. There are much better options available in Jackson. I will not be dining at Buddha Stix again.

In my opinion the best Chicken Satay sticks ever. All other food is also very good, but the satay sauce is amazing. Found myself adding rice to the dish to mop up the sauce.

Ive been here a few times and the food is always good, tonight was no exception. The service however was quite average. Two of our group got wines that had been open some time. One of them 4 days and the other wine tasted like vinager. A roti was ordered and forgotten. It was difficult to get the attention of wait staff for all of the things that seemed to go wrong with our orders and just to order our food took a very long time.

One of the better thai places in the hutt. Would recommend booking a table as it can get quite busy.

Tulsi is a great place! Comfy seats, great menu, chilled atmosphere and fantastic staff! Good comfort foods, but not too heavy that you cant have in summer! We used to visit regularly, until we found the awesomness of Tulsi, but recently Buddah Stix has slipped. The last time, which is definitely our last time, we ended up waiting for 25 mins and saw at least 4 tables, who came in after us, get served. We even tried to get the attention the staff, any staff, it was like we were invisible! Finally we got fed up and left, they didnt even notice that we never ate, they thanked us, hoped we enjoyed our meal and wished us a good night!Well, we did have a great night!! When we got to Tulsi!
