We booked and Afternoon Tea for two at the DoubleTree and it was a very pleasant afternoon.The selection on the platter was varied, the cakes and the sandwiches were very good and the environment at the cafe was nice and relaxed. We will definitely try and go back if we can.

Such a lovely venue with great decor and a large outdoor space. The service was good and efficient and the food was delicious. We had a three course bottomless brunch (which wasnt exactly bottomless, but we still had a sufficient amount of prosecco!) through a Wowcher deal so I wasnt expecting too much, but I was thoroughly impressed! The portions were not overwhelming, but we both left feeling suitably full and satisfied. Would definitely be back here!

My friend and I had afternoon tea at the Urban Cafe a few weeks ago and it wasnt great. The sandwiches were fresh but after asking for no smoked salmon sandwiches, we were still given them. The scones were very dry and didnt have much taste at all. One very small pot of jam and a meagre amount of cream between two also. All in all, not a great experience and I wouldnt recommend.

I have been to this restaurant twice now. Both of them via a deal I found on wowcher. And I loved it. The food was so fresh and hot when it arrived to the table. It was all very tasty and good quantity. The service around the restaurant was very nice. The lady who served us had a big smile on her face at all times and was so helpful. I really couldnt have asked for a better experience. I would recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to go back.

Place was ok but not the best. Had afternoon tea at £20 per person. Cheesecake was delicious, muffin a bit dry and had whipped cream instead of clotted cream with scone! Also lovely day, and it has outside seating, but not allowed to have this outside, which was disappointing.

Nice, calm atmosphere, friendly staff, they are very quite almost no one else. Beautiful decor and Christmas tree. Limited options for afternoon tea. Clean, peaceful place to sit and have a chat with friends, very close to Station so easy to get to. Good value for money. Definitely recommend.

Been here twice now, one time for afternoon tea and one for Brunch and I loved both. Food is always fresh. I visited yesterday for brunch, bought the deal from Time Out - unlimited starters, one main course, unlimited desserts and unlimited prosecco all for £19 per person, what a bargain. The starters were a selection of salads, pate, smoked salmon, fish, all were delicious. I had burger and fries for my main and a selection of mini desserts. It was extremely busy (not surprising with deals like this), although there was lots of staff, service was a little slow and we had to catch their attention to come to our table, however the staff were great, helpful, polite and accommodating

Don’t waste your time and money especially on afternoon tea. Bought a voucher for afternoon tea and I personally think it should be called ‘skinny’ afternoon tea as you get a limited selection of food. Do not expect three tier presentation or a menu for tea either. It’s the first place so far that in my subjective opinion does an afternoon tea with no tea menu or traditional three tier stand.

Coming from the US, Im used to you a bit faster service but due to the fact no one tips here, its hard to get expedited service. Regardless of that fact the food is very good and priced well. They also offer proper tea offerings. You should try this location.

Lovely food & service

Firstly, the service here was top notch. The staff were attentive, helpful, and considerate. We went for a brunch and there was lots of starters and desserts. Really lovely fresh salads. It was a nice setting too. Oh, and good coffee (from Volcano coffee works).

Food below average. Staff extremely slow (we had to wait more then 25 min per course plus the waitresses were more concentrated on the empty table then taking our empty plate to the kitchen. We had to wait more then 15 min for each plate to be taken back to the kitchen even thou they were aware we had finished and the whole restaurant Was empty ( they were hetting the area ready for the brwakfast already...crazy!!!) . Salmon was boiled then grilled (was soggy as a result), chicken breast was so spiced my boyfriend left it all in the plate. Cheesecake was over powering, too sweet, they even addedd caramel and chocolate topping on top (on a cookie cheesecake!!) . Squid was served under a paper sheet (cheap) and too much pepper seasonee. If u are looking for an average place to eat buy a groupon, do never go under other circumstances. Sorry not sorry.

Food is ok but the service is deplorable. Ordered a beer and took over 30 minutes for it to arrive. Whats worst is the lack of regard for covid 19 measures. The guy behind the bar had his mask off and had no ppe. There was a Filipino lady and another guy (think he was Spanish/Italian) who were the only highlight of our visit. They were courteous and very professional but cant be said of other staff.

Was taken here for a birthday lunch. Food was nice and the staff friendly.

Bought a Groupon for tea, worth it. Food was good, chocolate cake was my favorite followed by the scone. I got a cafe latte and it was smooth, bold, and great color.

Had a lovely coffee in here. Nice and chilled out space. Great cake selection including vegan and gluten free options. You can buy plants there too. Dog friendly

Lovely afternoon tea! Unlimited tea and coffee and the sandwiches were amazing. I’ve been to many afternoon tea places but this is one of the best - the desserts were not too sweet that you’d enjoy eating it, the scones were still warm, and the presentation was just exceptional. Also, I don’t usually drink champagne but the staff who served us highly recommended it and she was soooo right! Really great champagne here! Thank you to that filipina staff! I’d definitely come back here again!

We had a lovely afternoon tea and enjoyed two bottles of prosecco. The sandwiches and cakes were tasty, the prosecco was delicious and the staff were pleasant and attentive.I definitely would recommend.

I had the blueberry pancakes which were delicious. I appreciated my tea being brought out when my pancakes were ready so I could enjoy them together. Im sure its lovely sitting outside on a sunny day but felt very drafty inside on a cold wet day. The fruit smoothies were very tasty tho.

The outside dining of the Urban Meadow Cafe at this Double Tree Hilton, has open access from the street at two points of entry which are left unmanned and no security. As a result whilst dining, our table got approached by professional beggars asking for money as we ate, and my sisters phone got stolen. No staff/waiters were outside to manage this situation. Upon informing the manager, he was unsurprised by this incident stating ‘that’s London for you’. Apart from an apology, no form of compensation or even being hospitable by offering a drink, whilst my sister had to cancel her cards and speak to the police was given. The police were not phoned on our behalf as previously stated by the manager, and the beggars were not ‘in disguise as customers’ also stated by the manager. There simply were no staff outside. When one member of staff is inside, the other should be out on the floor at all times. It’s simple management. And there was a balanced customer/staff ratio to be able to manage this effectively. A restaurant aware of petty crime within the neighbourhood should have preventative measures. It is disgraceful that within their facilities and hospitality, that beggars are enabled through Hilton’s lack of security to just ambush tables as their customers eat. It’s not London for you, it’s bad management and lack of customer care for you!

It was a nice afternoon tea with nice service cant really complain about anything. Do make sure if you book that you have the correspondence as they couldnt find our booking and we had to show the emails. But other than that it was lovely.

Called in 10 days ago when we arrived in London as it was close to our hotel. Menu looked inviting but our only experience left us cold and did not return. Service was almost non existent, we were served with drinks and we needed to remind them after a 10 minute or so wait that our food order had not been delivered. When it did arrive it was at best adequate. Paid the bill with cash and needed to chase them up when it was apparent that they had forgotten about the change. Really need to focus on your service and recognise who the customer is.

Excellent. Food was fab, wine list could be better, I ordered white and red for table but they were not nice. Staff were fab. DJ was fab. It has a gorgeous look about it too.

The restaurant/hotel itself was nice and staff was friendly. However, it was not worth the exorbitant price for breakfast. Go anywhere else for a traditional English breakfast at half the price and better ingredients. The scrambled eggs were almost liquid, and the hash browns seemed to be previously frozen. There was nothing special about this breakfast to justify the cost.

Arrived slightly early for our afternoon tea, however this was not a problem. Seated straight away by the lovely Isobel who looked after us very well throughout our tea. Food and fizz wonderful. Would definitely recommend and would go back without hesitation. Thank you.

Went here originally for tea with the Groupon on 2/14/20, as this restaurant happened to be in our hotel. Food choices were fine. Service was really spotty. Seems like only the Italian bartender was working as he was picking up the slack from the manager, an Indian waitress and our waiter (heavy-set white man.) If I was going to base my experience on the tea, Id probably give it a 2.5.Because we have status at the hotel, we had breakfast included every day. Self serve buffet was FANTASTIC. Staff was quick to clear plates and get clotted cream. Absolutely awesome assortment of foods and I dont even like breakfast back in the US. After eating the same thing daily, for almost a week, Im craving their full English my first day back home in the US.The place has great food but the service apart from the bartender and breakfast crew needs work.

First time here. My wife and I loved the food. The operations manager Nader was very nice and extremely accommodating. Definitely coming back before my trip is over.

I didnt enjoy it. I was hoping to pop in to have tea and breakfast but ended up only getting a cup of tea because the service was so incredibly slow. I had to track someone down to pay. It was a weekday morning and wasnt especially busy.

I had a lovely visit for afternoon tea and a bottle of prosecco. We were looked after really well by Richard who was super attentive. The sandwiches were nice but I loved the cakes. As it was my birthday, they brought out a muffin with a candle in and sang happy birthday to me. We had a great time and would definitely return..

We enjoyed the afternoon tea. Thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich, yummy scones, the chocolate cake was to die for lastly the cheese cake oh la la. The service was excellent. I would recommend to all my friends and family and anyone who would like to try it.

Came here for the brunch and was initially very put off by the young waiter who served us. He came to offer us prosecco- i said I didnt drink and could I have a non alcoholic alternative and he looked like I had asked him something obscene and said he couldnt do that. I have been to many brunches and never refused a non alcoholic alternative. After he eventually checked with his boss, he gave me orange juice. Then it took them forever to even take our orders for main course. It was all in all very average.

This place is nice I found all the male host to be pretty nice. The bar tenders know how to make a good drink. Some of the wait staff is cool. The kitchen staff is on point they make sure the buffet for breakfast runs smooth.

I spend some time here to appreciate the good coffee and free high speed internet. Recommended.

Took my sister for afternoon tea for her birthday using a wowcher. Cakes were amazing but the macaroons were simply divine!! Had a bottle of prosecco with it too. Richard was absolutely fantastic.. his customer service was outstanding.. nothing was to big of an ask. Kept coming to check if we needed anything and checking our glasses were full. Also brought my sister a slice of cheesecake with happy birthday on it.. I hadnt asked for it, was done of their own volition.The only reason I havent give them 5 stars is that the communication when trying to book the table was seriously lacking. I emailed them twice before I got a reply and even then the emails were brief and lacked information. But I got there eventually. Easy to find the cafe. Is clean, tidy and very modern.

Poor, incredibly nervous service and bland food. I cant believe a restaurant serves food such as their sweet potato curry in 2020. An insipid gloop of sauce. No real flavour. If I produced food like this at home I would bin it.

We were seated by the bar man. The waiter went past us. For 20min we sat without a menu. We got up and left after 20min of being noticed but not being served. Awful customer service.

If I could no stars I would.Bought a voucher through timeout to visit the Urban Meadow Cafe and tried on 4 occasions to book and wasn’t able to speak to them. I rang on 3 occasions and was constantly redirected through to the hotel. The hotel staff were amazing and took my details tonpass in but no one ever called me back. I emailed the Cafe twice on the email addresses they had listed and again got nothing back. I honestly don’t think I’d ever look to go to the cafe now as it’s clearly very unprofessional.

From the outside it looks very nice and also the Menu, but the service was slow and the food was disappointing. We had to wait 15 min for the drinks and also very long for the food. They forgot the salmon and the juices where very watery.

We had afternoon tea there. The staff were great. Very attentive even though it was busy. The afternoon tea was lovely. Everything was lovely and fresh.

Stopped over for some tea on a wet cold afternoon out with my kids as it was off the side of the road and easily accessible. Nice large cafe, nice presentation as well. However, on this particular day my kids were being a little too excited so I had to leave early out of respect to other customers. I could return here on a later date (perhaps without the kids).
