We were looking for somewhere to get a warm drinking after a shopping spree and spotted this place just off Oxford Street. We were wowed by the extensive dessert menu and ended up overloading on sugar! The food was amazing, the drinks were great and the service was very good. We will be back to sample more of their offerings soon.
Fantastic menu options, lovely staff and a very friendly owner who was happy to make food recommendations each time we visited! Will definitely be back next time I’m in London! :)
Very happy with the homedade waffle! The cafe deserves 5 stars just for that because its hard to find homemade waffle sometimes. They should add more options in the menu (waffles with just one or two toppings for people less hungry).I had the Loving nutella which included a lot of nutella, strawberries, bananas and vanilla ice cream, it was huge! But it was delicious!! 😋Would definitely go again and recommend the place!
Coffee good but service slow. Crepe was ok. Friendly staff ( all of 1).
Invited some friends to the place yday. Desserts were awesome but coffees were poor. Owner is habitually rude and discourteous. Not likely to revisit or recommend.
Keem paratha and pancakes were really good. I didnt liked the alu paratha.
Loved everything I ordered, super tasty! A great place for all day dining! Plenty of variety with the most amazing desserts! Great value too!
Absolutely great service and even better food! Highly recommend. Najeeb was very attentive and really took care of us- thank you!
This is what they call a “nutella” crepe. Any crepe I have ever had in my life is usually filled with nutella but this one only had a very thin layer on top. When I asked to add more nutella, I of course had to pay extra. It’s not normal restaurant/cafe standards to serve empty crepes and this cafe should take this into consideration.
Nice deserts.Customer service is usually good, but nowadays is spoiled by male member of the staff, the way he was treating customers was very strange and I’ve noticed him being rude towards the ladies behind the till and his other work colleagues in general. That happened more then once during my visit.Someone should teach him to be nice.Sorry to say but Kula was way better without him around.
Desserts are great.. but the manager serving us was quite rude. He didnt have any manners, started clearing his phlegm in front of us and didnt say thank you or good bye after we paid... Ive seen others have had issues with his service too.
My first impression came from the dirty cutlery they presented my daughter (see images). She then received a glass of water with hair stuck to it with mouldy food. The food was average. The omelette was over priced and nothing special. For almost £10 I literally was served an omelette, no toast or any side condiments. The waffles and chicken were again average. The chicken was not fresh as the batter was soft and the chicken was soft and soggy rather than crispy . I suspect the chicken had been heated in the microwave and was cooked the day before. The pancakes and egg florentine were good, cannot fault these two items. On the whole a disappointing £53.00 first visit.
On a sunny Friday morning after walking for an hour on beautiful Regents Park with my daughter, we happened upon this lovely cafe. We were warmly greeted and sat at our seats by the cafe gentleman (maybe he was the owner). We had a delicious cup of coffee followed by freshly squeezed delicious juices--I had Mango, my daughter had Watermelon--followed by a delicious chapati and haloumi sandwich for my daughter and an avocado salmon for me. We loved the whole experience. The food was excellent, the service was amazing, and the place was very clean. Yes, the bathroom was in a very tight place near the kitchen, but it was spotless. I would definitely choose this place on my next visit to London.
For the love of god get rid of that rude man! I don’t know and I don’t care if he is a owner, manager or waiter, he is spoiling experience for many in this cafe including everyone who is working with him!He is rude to customers and other members of the staff.During my visit he was arguing with staff on multiple occasions.People go to Kula to relax and have a coffee and cake, but they get exactly the opposite! There is no excuse for that behaviour, and I am shocked that you keep repeating in your answers how you shouldn’t let your internal difficulties disturb your customers! There shouldn’t be any at the first place, you should sort him out because when he wasn’t there Kula was great place. You are already lost a lot of customers because of him.Next time I won’t go in if I see him around.
The desserts are excellent and fresh, and not much more expensive than what you’d pay at any other restaurant! Plus, the heated outdoor seating and the nice customer service makes up for it.HOWEVER would not recommend the Indian tea: it is made from a powder, which leaves a strange and unauthentic aftertaste.
I could have happily eaten the whole menu! Dessert heaven!
Had an amazing vegan crepe today and have to say amazing. Great service and lovely outside ambiance in London. Been here many times and tried lots of other waffles and pancakes. The banana and toffee crepe hit the spot
Came here a few times and it’s very tasty. Last night we were waiting outside to be seated and a gentleman got up and said they’re leaving soon. Me my husband and my baby were waiting and sat down when he finally left. As soon as we sat down a woman cam from the next door cafe and said she was waiting. She went inside and told an employee he came out and told us we must leave. I said why nobody told us there is a waiting list. He said there are three people. The inside of the cafe was empty and he was very rude to us an told us to leave as the ladies wanted to sit here. We left and the ladies stayed in the cafe next door where they had already ordered. The employee was very rude. He lost two sets of customers he didn’t offer us another seat inside and didn’t promise us another seat. The couple next table said that the woman was lying and that she didn’t book a table. We were very upset at how terrible the customer service was last night and how rude the employee was to us. He embarrassed us and did not welcome us at all. I will never come here again !
Just had an amazing breakfast here, the waffles and crepes were really loaded high with toppings! I had the halloumi and avocado crepe and my partner had the naughty Bueno waffles. Both were delicious! Will come again.
Spent a great Tuesday afternoon at this place, tried a vegetable soup with roti and a chai. Seriously everything was so tasty ,cant wait to come back next weeks and try it again.Staff was very friendly and polite, made sure that I enjoy my meal. Thank you! :)
I would say wow 🤩 not a big fan of eggs but had their spicy eggs with chapti and karak tea was delicious and tea was refreshing would 100% recommended..! 👍
Photos look much better than the actual stuff. Prices on the higher side
Fantastic Cake order and ready on time for a birthday party. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!! Great visual and taste experience. My guests were mesmerized!!!
Most divine cakes, I will be back!!
I have been here on my holiday from Glasgow to London, I ordered 3 things with my family and one of them it was something similar tp milk shaker by Yogurt, banana, dates Avocado but frankley this milkshaker was only banan tasty and no dates or only like color for avocado so I mean 90% banana and this fake receipt and when I went to till to pay they charge me Service which he did not mention from first and the main frustrating they charge me more than in menue price and what I ordered but when I went back to them she started lookong for my recipent and she thought I am lie but she gave me back my money that was took more than what I ordered and she thinks I came about mpney I came about this must not happen for customer, just CAriNg about MonEy.
Sat down on a table and not even 1 minute in I saw the owner arguing with his staff out loud infront of a full arrangement. I ordered my drink at the counter and planned to look at the menu on the table for something extra. But in the space of that minute the owner slapped his hand on the table and took the menu without asking. I felt not welcomed in this unprofessional setting and left.
Excellent breakfast with great customer service. Owner is always happy and positive greeting with a smile all the time. Savoury pancake set is my ♥️ it’s a sweet and earthy mix of pancakes in maple syrup, scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and veggies. Now that I have had the set on a a few occasion I would highly recommend always have green peas Kula Cafe it brings the set together in my opinion. Great quality double espresso ☕️
Fantastic menu selection - genuinely hard to pick something! Friendly service, lovely food and drink.
Over priced, rude servers and the food was sub par at best. Imagine charging a 15% service charge and not know how to make a proper hollandaise sauce....
Excellent Karak chai (Tea). One of the best i ever had. The atmosphere was great and we really loved the food. Will definitely come back later.
Everytime we come to London we eat here. Mostly breakfast as they open at 9am and have a fab selection. We had an omelette and eggs benedict today. The ingredients is always very fresh and cooked to perfection and it was nice to see golden yolk eggs. A true gem of a place. They also have an ice-cream bar and an exquisite selection of fancy cakes to have with an afternoon coffee.
A great place to get a satisfying meal for a decent price. The thing I love about this place is that you can find here diverse selection of food: sweets, omelettes, authentic english breakfast and Indian food as well. The place has wide selection of fresh vegetables, which are rare to find in london.Najip, the owner served us kindly and patiently and even gave us a traditional Lebanese desert. I highly recommend this place!
The best place for breakfast and desserts in London ! Omelets , pancakes , waffles - all top quality . Smoothies and juices made with fresh fruits . Excellent service every time !
The best Karachi omelette I have ever had. Absolutely amazing food and drinks
Overpriced and not that nice- staff was a bit impatient with us too
Bad rude service it is not okay to shout on the costumers didn’t even apologize, oily oily omelette, about 30 minutes for one omelette and cheese chabati😭😭😭💔Never coming ever and won’t recommend to anyone
Excellent place and extremely helpful staff
Don’t come here. They don’t know food.
The Buenos chocolate tasted stale and the pancakes were heavy instead of light/airy. The toppings were piled horribly onto of the pancake. Sorry but I wont be visiting again.
Tried a birthday cake, my friend ordered from this place and OMG. Amazingly soo good🤤🤤! Will definitely be poping in this weekend to try other great desserts.
Amazing desserts and ice cream sundaes 🍨
The best pancakes ever😍 Highly recommend
One guy who served (probably owner) really rude...polite just with people from his country (they were speacking same language)...been here 2nd time..both times very slow...really slow. Not nice..
We had a dessert after a dinner. Cafe is open quite late. When we visited it was quite busy but the service was still good. The waffels were ridiculous in size - if you are looking for a over-the-top dessert experience, this is the place.Only negative was the tobacco smoke from the window that was open to the terrace. So next time we will choose a table not close to the smokers.
DO NOT GO THEREOwner absolutely awful, disgusting attitude, very rude and lack of customer service skills. I had the most horrible experience ever. YThe staff and the owner had their mask under chin, not Covid secure at all. Just AWFUL.The way the owner deal with his customers just disgusting. If I can leave zero star I would do so.I would never ever go to such place.Terrible service.Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Good place to stop by for a coffee and a waffle or even a decent sized FrappuccinoPriced better than the other places near by which are more expensive. Good location to Oxford street and selfridges
Lovethe food , drinks are amazing and make sure you do try the white chocolate drink .... Bang on amazing
Absolutely amazing place to eat for both savoury and sweet. The Karka tea is absolutely bliss, and the Zafran dessert the owner recommended was a delight. Lovely family run business, am so glad we decided to stop here for lunch as opposed to ending up at the “usual” chain restaurants. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the West End.
1. Poor food- we ordered strawberry based desserts for £23 which had bitter and old strawberries. The restaurant on Oxford Street cant even afford fresh strawberries.2. Poor waiting service- Short staffed and inexperienced waiter. Not really her fault because she was over working. The cutleries arrived 15mins after the food arrived3. Long waiting for food- we had to wait for 40mins for a crepe!
Rude waitress right as we walked in.
The owner is sarcastic with attitude, we were a large group with a dog and because the dog barked once he told us you are disturbing the customers whereas every other person stopped to play with the dog. There are many other shops to sit than go somewhere with an unprofessional attitude and be humiliated in front of others, not worth it.
Absolutely amazing service, the owner is lovely in regards to the dog situation where someone has posted, that was not the case, as the dog was continuously barking and some customers were uncomfortable and could not enjoy their time at the cafe ! I have been here before and the food and service has always been immaculate !
Amazing milkshakes and crepes! Defo recommend!
Lovely and friendly service and delicious crepes and tea ☺️
Loved the food options and the waitresses were so lovely
Its an amazing place! I have a lactose intolerance and there are a lot of plates dairy free. All the pancakes and waffles can be made in a dairy free solution! Absolutely AMAZING!
A lovely little place with great food and the most hospitable staff. I am from India and so wanted to try the chai on the menu. It was so lovely that it took me back home. I am definitely going to be visiting again.
Delicious drinks and cozy location
Food amazing, serve quick and with a smile. The waffles (and I dont even like waffles) are utterly delicious and I stole lots of my daughters plate. Pancakes equally lovely. Wanted to eat most of the cake cabinet but didnt have the time so will be back.
We died and went to heaven!! We stumbled across this little treat.. it’s great for deserts, cakes and waffles!! The coffee was ok, but overall the desserts is what converted us to eat here!!!My friend said it’s the best chocolate meltCake she’s ever had! She said it melted in her mouth without any effort. It was busy when we arrived with only one table left out of the 8 inside. I would say the waitress needed to control the customers much better as 3 men took over two tables which could have been contained to the one table.
We ordered two waffles, Red Velvet and Kinder Bueno. They were moderate. The Red Velvet one, was supposed to be “full of raspberries and strawberries”, yet there was maybe one strawberry on it. For the Kinder Bueno one, we expected it to be with some sort of cream rather than just plenty of cheap nougat sauce, a bit of whipped cream and a kinder bueno on top of it.The staff was okay, although I believe the waitresses were under a lot of pressure form their boss, it was quite unpleasant to look at. I believe they only have one cook, who was responsible for all orders, which resulted in quite long waiting time for just two waffles. To be fair, we haven’t tried their coffee - maybe it’s very good, but we won’t go there again to try it.
One of our favourite places to come for a Sunday breakfast. My children love the pancakes and we love the karachi omelette and karak. Highly recommend if you want some where tasty and satisfying for breakfast.
Hello you allPersonally I’m not a waffle fanBut me and my girlfriend we loved the one they serve here is simply amazing so light and full of flavourWell treated by Wanda..Highly recommendedThanks for the experience
Owner absolutely awful, mask under chin, touching food, tills, himself. Awful.Other staff seemed clean and nice, all wearing masks etc., and very polite. Absolutely horrible to witness, clearly thinks he’s something special.Lovely crepes
Amazing price, great service and tasty food! Would highly recommend. Very conveniently located as well.
19- 09- 2020: Good Customer service from waiter and Male Owner. Female owner was rude snd dismissive. Food tasted nice. Sticky toffee pudding lacked sauce however waitress was kind enough to provide different sauce. OVERPRICED. (Sticky toffee pudding - £10; Crepe - £11.95). I have been here on several occasions and have always recommended this place to others, however on this occasion i was disappointed mostly because of the increase in price and the addition of service charge aswell as the lack of friendliness from the female owner( It is a small cafe and so there isnt much service being provided). Good food and location, however not worth the money.
