Very unassuming place, on a side road off Brick Lane.However, even if its doesnt look fancy or lacks the fancy decors, the dosas and South Indian food is good.

This place serves frozen food you can buy from the market. I ordered samosas via Deliveroo and got these tiny samosas that you can buy in sainsbury.I would expect a restaurant to serve freshly prepared items.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Brick Lane. Been today with my wife and the waiter was so kind he answered all our questions regarding vegan options. Food is amazing and the atmosphere very comfortable.

This is an odd one in a rather out of the box place as they serve dishes from South India. The surrounding place is filled with Bangladeshi run Indian restaurants serving alcohol. The rice dosa and rava dosa we had were fresh and the portions were rather more than we were expecting. We asked for the vada to be not crispy and undercooked and thats exactly the way it came. (you cannot make it like this with the frozen vada). The interiors were basic though hygienic. The spice level is white, though they said that for the non vegetarian dishes they could give it a local desi fiery feel. Sadly this restaurant will be missed by many especially those who walk by it as its not glittery nor serves alcohol.

Best South Indian Food which i had in London. The staff is very friendly and the prices are also moderate. If u love spicy south Indian food u should definitely try Rasam Vada ,which really very yummy. For Dosa, For vegetarians i would recommend Mysore paneer masala as the best Dosa which i had. Idli chilly is also good. For dessert u can try Pistacho Ice cream which is very limited but really yummy. Very superb place in BrickLane, Central London .

A cozy restaurant with very good southern Indian food. The Dohas are very good, as well as other dishes (15£ a person or so). Friendly staff, and very competitive prices. They take credit cards as well, which is great.

Small and cozy Indian restaurant. The service is friendly and helpful. You get water delivered as soon as you take a seat, and the staff is helpful to bring more, also if you would like extra sauce etc for the food.The portions are big and ensures that you do not leave the place hungry. The mixable options on the menu are many.

I just had the absolute worst meal delivered. 2 dosas, one masala and one lamb. They arrived cold, looked like it had been frozen the lamb one had 2 table spoons of mash with the rhinestone layer of gravy, that might have had minced lamb in, but imInot convinced. The sauces ???? Hell know what they were otherwise than disgusting.All went into the bin.

This was without a doubt the best South Indian food I have ever had. The chicken was tender and fresh. The flavours were rich, complex, and subtle all at the same time. The service was very friendly and flexible with requests. Highly highly recommended!!!

Great food, clean and tidy. Service was fast and staff was friendly and attentive. It is definitely much better than some questionable Indian restaurants in brick lane where I saw them take out food uncovered right from the car trunk(boot) into the restaurant. When I ate a chilly and suffered the staff ran over with sugar and yogurt sauce to alleviate my pain. Highly recommend!

This little, unpretentious restaurant is a place of culinary delights. Weve lunched there several times now, and the food is invariably excellent, in my view vastly superior to other restaurants Ive been to in the Brick Lane area. All the dishes Ive tried, from mild to very spicy, have been been full of succulent and delicate flavours, as well as being light on the stomach. Furthermore, although Dosa World is alcohol- free, the freshly-made lassis provide a delicious, refreshing and healthy alternative. I would only add that the staff are most charming, with nothing being too much trouble for them.

The food was very oily, although it did look nice presentation wise. It was not the best tasting curry Ive had in London or close. I expected more, as on the outside the place seems very authentic

One of the best South restaurant in the locality. Ambience is not that much good, but the quality of the food is good.Especially traditional South Indian food are mouth watering and one need to definitely try. Even Thali and Biryani options are great and need to try if someone really want to try Indian food.Staff are very polite and helpful, must need to wait for the service as the restaurant is always quite busy. Desserts are really nice and fruit juices are also quite good. Prices are affordable and also reasonable.

Friendly staff, laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Service not slow, and the food is amazing. The fish curries and dosas are what Ive tried so far. Kumar, the waiter, is charming, friendly and delivers service with a smile. I also met one of the chefs who were very friendly and fun to talk to. I caught a glimpse of the kitchen and it was neat, tidy and clean. The flavours and spices mixed in the food were just so! The right blend. Not too spicy or overbearing. My other half, a very fussy eater, also absolutely adored the food. I think this is the only authentic south Indian restaurant in the neighbourhood. Must-visit for lovers of exotic cuisine! Highly recommended.

As someone from Tamil Nadu, this is great food for a place in the City. Took my team out here and they liked it! The waiters were very helpful and served us well. The dosas were great!

Love this little gem of a place. South India is part of my heritage & so am familiar with South Indian cuisine. Yes decor is tired. But the menu is extensive so lots of choice & the food was like proper home cooking. Great menu. Great food. Far better than all the other restaurants on brick lane! All these people wondering past without realising they are missing the best Indian food because they overlook it as its on a side road.

Had a really lovely vegetarian curry with a glass of orange and carrot juice. Wonderful flavours in the curry and very friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. It was quite busy, but every seemed to be happy and all of the food I could see looked very tempting.

Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. BYOB is a plus.Ive been several times already, and I fully intend to keep going back!

I really like this restaurant because although it looks very basic the cuisine is very good. One of Brick Lanes gems which can be easily overlooked. It serves south Indian cuisine which is very different to other curries you may have tasted. The Dosa is great to share between two or have alone if you are feeling extra peckish.

Dosa World is on Hanbury St opposite some fantastic street art. Hanbury St is off Brick Lane near the old Truman Brewery which is now a selection of bars, shops and other interesting creative businesses. Dosa World Dosa, Idlys, Vadas are all authentic and very well made. The food is all made fresh with the best ingredients and the staff are all friendly. My favourite dish is the Manchurian Cauliflower with the plain Dhal.

I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there . I went there with lot of expectations but i ended up with having worst experience. they served me a horrible dosa with chutney which was like water... and tasteless and moreover its not even worth for the price.

The dosas, idly and sambar cannot be beaten. The dishes are perfectly made and the portions are big. I always want to eat at Dosa World because everything Ive had there is so tasty. The restaurant isnt fancy and it doesnt need to be.

This was a great little find. We went in the middle of the day and it wasnt too busy. They had friendly and attentive staff and really nice food. The place is small and has one door straight to the street so can be a bit cold. But worth wrapping up for their food.

Cheap and delicious Indian food.

Tasty food and friendly service. Mango lassi was excellent. Only problem is its a small restaurant with only one chef I think, so it took quite a long time for our food to arrive (party of six)

My experience with this restaurant is horrible, they took close to 2 hours to deliver the food. I called them after 1 hour and they said - your food is out for delivery, will reach in 10 mins. No food in next 30 mins and I called them again. Surprisingly the response - your food is out for delivery, will reach in 10 mins. Essentially either of this is a lie and when I confronted the manager over call, he didnt even bother to accept his conscious mistake.Well I can understand on a weekend evening there must be lot of rush, that doesnt mean you have to lie to your customer. I know this review will not bother them much because one customer loss will not impact their business. However, I would make sure my word to mouth review reaches to the extreme.

They serve pretty solid South Indian classics and the quality is much better than most of the places on brick lane. Some will be put off by the absence of an alcohol licence.

Delicious Indian food at a good price!

Tiny but nice south indian restaurant off Brick Lane. The menu is a bit different from the usual fare because it is quite small, and sticks to a specific regional cuisine. Please note that if you want to drink alcohol, youll have to bring your own.

I visited this restaurant couple of times and all the dishes I had except kothu porota tasted really good (like we make in South India). Some times we have to wait as the space can only accommodate 10 or 15 guys at a time. But its definitely worth waiting.

A fluorescent lit little restaurant that doesnt impress when you walk in. But the food is fantastic! Recommend. You wont be spending an hour soaking in the ambience, but the food makes up for that!

Very disappointing, we ordered for ghee roast masala dosa, and there was no taste of ghee at all!! The chutneys were so watery and tasted weird, and not worth the price at all! Just wasted 8£ on a dosa!!! Would not recommend it to anyone who wants to eat dosa!!

This place is great! I had a lamb dosa and it was delicious and well made. The service is fantastic, the sweetest! The mango lassi wasnt too sweet too. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.

This was my first time trying Dosa and will very likely be my last. The savoury dishes arent anything special and two of the deserts I tried tasted very similar. The service made me feel a little uncomfotable at times but was ok in general and all of our orders were served quickly.

We had been to this place for about 3-4 times if I remember correctly. Well they serve amazing food and must try specially for indians and please avoid the other restaurants in brick lane as those are not meant for indian taste buds i suppose as I was completely let down by them.Dosa ,chicken and lamb curries were delicious. Note: Service might be average but finally what matters is food which is promising.
