This is my favourite and go-to place for a celebratory or quiet me-time meal. Everyone from the reception to the restaurant staff are just so warm and welcoming! The food is delicious and the best part is that they are all dairy free and gluten-free! Last Saturday I tried their afternoon tea and was so impressed by the selection of savouries, scones and sweet cakes. My favourites include the John Ross smoked salmon, truffle mushroom toasty (with the super cute fried quail egg on top) and the lemon and black sesame cake made with honey from the hotel’s own rooftop. The scones were amazingly good too - I’d say even better than the gluten ones that I can remember. I loved the berry jam most of all. I would have had seconds if I wasn’t too full. Highly recommend and I’ll keep coming back. :)

Lovely place, I put it on my must go places, the service was excellent, atmosphere was tremendous and the food my god the food was lovely. Bare in mind it might be in pocket for some, but do expect to pay more than imagine for the portion, Set menus are the best.

Indigo at One Aldwych is such an underrated place! It is located near the Lyceum theatre so therefore its perfect if youre going there before/after. The food and service is great and they have a tasting menu which is suitable for vegetarians. I would definitely recommend!!

Fantastic Hotel. Our bags were collected before entering the building. We were shown to the bar before going into the restaurant for afternoon tea. The cocktails were delicious, nuts and olives were an added bonus. The restaurant was fairly small but very comfortable and looked beautiful. The Charlie and the chocolate factory themed afternoon tea was outstanding. The cocktail to go with the tea was served in a smoking glass teapot, great touch! All the savoury dishes were great and the sweets and cakes were delicious. Great staff, they couldnt do enough for us, very friendly and helpful throughout our experience. I would highly recommend.

We were there for an afternoon tea. The menu was great. The food was exquisite. Ms. Madalina, one of the members of the restaurant team, was extremely helpful. We booked the tea service via a third-party website and did not know what was complementary and promotional. Madalina explained to us clearly so that we could enjoy everything at ease. Such a amazing place. My friend found thus treasure and she took me there fir the second time on Saturday for my birthday. Ive got loads of intolerances so this place us perfect. The food was wonderful and the services was top notch. The customer service begins as soon as they open the door into the hotel, he even took us to the lift. The waiters and every one in the resturant were so lovely and thoughtful. Really enjoyed my visit

Loved how gracious they were for me running late and having my food served within 5 min of me arriving (I preordered) and we had plenty of time for 2 courses before Tina the Musical! The creme brûlée had the perfect wobble (but it’s not dairy free)!

Enjoyed the tasting menu for our anniversary...it. Was. Amazing. The mini loaves were delightful, the pea soup left us wanting more. The scallops with rhubarb were surprising. The pork, let me take a moment to respect that dish..the sauce was just packed full of flavour, the meat and all of the veg were delicious. Pimms in a dessert, wow. The mint sorbet was so refreshing and complemented beautifully.The chocolate mousse was a perfect chocoholic delight. The rest of the world disappeared for me with this one. Having not had a proper dessert for years with my food intolerances, I was in heaven.My other half is a chef and didnt missing gluten or dairy at all during the meal.The waiting staff were fabulous, attentive but not intrusive.The whole experience was just brilliant, highly recommended..particularly if you are gluten and dairy free, but honestly that doesnt matter..the food was great. We will definitely be returning!

Great quality food and professional staff. The gluten-free and vegan bread was a winner, especially with the vegan nori butter spread. Our starters and mains all tasted great. I had the celeriac soup and potato gnocchi. The only improvements would be the sides. The potatoes and broccoli were boring and bland. Our dessert took almost 40 mins after our meal to come but it was worth wait.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat - ambience, comfort, service, menu and food all first class, as you might expect from a Michelin star restaurant.However this one is very special. The entire menu is *also* fully gluten and dairy free. This is the place where the head chef converted the menu to being so without initially announcing or promoting it, as he wanted to ensure that the food was first of all fantastic rather than relying upon free from credentials. Having trialled the menu with positive feedback for several months, he then made the knowledge public.This is a destination venue for anyone, but *especially* for anyone gluten or dairy free. Go here for any special occasion. Go here for an absolute treat. I do not think there is a better fine dining restaurant for gluten and dairy free eaters anywhere else in London, perhaps . . . . the world? Really. Try it and judge for yourself :-)

I must say the experience overall at Indigo was wonderful and the wait staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. I’m gluten and dairy free as is my mother so bringing my parents to dinner as well as some friends was really enjoyable and stress free, which is often not the case when allergies are involved. Delicious freshly baked sourdough bread with mushroom butter to begin. I had the scallops for my starter, really delicious and melted in my mouth although only two scallops, a third would have been better. I opted for the battered fish and chips with tartar sauce for my main, I liked this dish and the portion was large but I wasn’t blown away I think the flavour was lacking a tad and the balsamic vinegar on the side didn’t work for me. For drinks we opted for the Merlot which I must say was sublime. Desserts were also lovely and shared by the table because we were absolutely stuffed! I knocked a star off because it was so hot and there were no AC vents upstairs, I did mention to the wait staff who said they’d advised the AC engineer but it didn’t seem to make a difference. Also at times it was a little difficult to get the waiters attention and we had to pour our own wine a number of times.

Went here for my 40th with my husband and 2 young kids was fabulous but be ready for a sugar over load. If you like afternoon tea definitely try this one. The savoury was a good strange selection but both me and hubby loved the chicken coronation and the cheese and onion quiche. They had also a salmon option and a cream cheese option and a savour scone. For dessert there was so much but the chocolate fancier and the chocolate milk was the best. The scones delicious too with a pineapple jam as well as normal jam. A bit pricey but worth a try and lovely staff and great ambience although we may have ruined it with our 2 wild kids 🤣

Our waitress (Laura) gave us thoughtful service which was attentive and high quality, whilst not encroaching at all. The food was outstanding. We will certainly be back. This is very reasonably priced for the experience you receive.

The food was done well in clinical way, but lacked the wow factor. For the price, you should expect more than clinical efficiency. The service was patchy. Some waiters were nice, others indifferent. We often had to wait long if need something. I am not sure I would like to go back, given Londons extensive food scene.

We had lunch here with a baby. They were very accommodating for a pram. Its always a reasonable price for a 2-3 course lunch. It is much easier knowing that if you need gluten and dairy free then everything on the menu is safe.

Had a lovely experience here this evening. The food was great, and it was so relaxing. Staff were attentive but did not rush us, and we enjoyed a delicious meal in a beautiful restaurant. Highlight of the visit was when the staff surprised my mum with a good luck dessert as she has a big operation soon. Would highly recommend!

We managed to get in without reservations, but it is a small space so I would recommend them. It is entirely gluten free so my girlfriend was able to order anything on the menu which made her very happy. I am not gluten intolerant and found the food quiet good which can be a rarity with gluten free dinning.

Had a lovely dinner with friends at Indigo. One of us is dairy free and one gluten free and for once we didnt have to work out if menu options were suitable as both could choose anything. The only issue was then trying to decide what to have. Delicious choices and for once everyone could have dessert! The waiting staff were suitably attentive and helped make it a lovely evening.

My husband and I vacationed in London last week and ate dinner at the Indigo twice during our stay because it was so good! Im vegan, gluten sensitive and my husband is a meat and fish eater but we were both knocked out by the entrees, and both had dishes suitable to each of us (mine vegan, his fish) that were absolutely delicious. And the little loaves of bread that the chef bakes are wonderful and you would never know theyre gluten free. I was in heaven. Wonderful restaurant with great service.

Love this place! It was our 2nd visit and it didnt disappoint. The manager even remembered us from last time! Delicious food (the bread is to die for) and the house red was yummy. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance and its so nice to be able to eat anything on the menu safe in the knowledge that I wont be coughing all night!The service was impeccable both times and the staff have the perfect balance between being attentive but not in your face.Would highly recommend you try Indigo even if you dont have dietary restrictions.

Excellent venue for lunch with a friend, we were not rushed, and lingered until nearly 5pm! Food was really good, whether or not you are gluten or dairy intolerant, and Im neither. Situated on a balcony overlooking the main lounge area of the hotel. Would definitely go back.

Dramatic, I know.However, it felt so amazing to have our pick of the menu w/o having to explain in detail. Usually Id list what we ate, but all 9 items were so delicious that I doubt there is a bad item at all!Service was perfectly paced... We never felt rushed or ignored. Being from the US, where a check gets dropped during desserts, I appreciate that there was never any push to leave. We asked for the check around 10:50pm, after we remembered that we werent in the US ;)The only thing Id take half of a star off for is the drink prices & selection.

A complete personal favourite for a la carte brunch or afternoon tea.For brunch the blueberry pancakes are to die for.And the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired afternoon tea alone makes coming here worth it. Great tea selection, tasty savouries and incredibly creative sweets, order seconds (or thirds) of your favourites and the staff will promptly come back with more.Afternoon tea and then a musical? Sounds like a perfect touristic afternoon to me.

I have been here twice now and will definitely being coming back again. The food is fantastic and intersting and the staff and atmosphere never disappoint. I am allergic to dairy and love being able to have anything on the menu, but people without allergies have said that they wouldnt have noticed that it was dairy and gluten free and were very impressed with the food. I will definitely keep coming back.

Do Not Recommend the Afternoon Tea! The Willy Wonka Afternoon tea was disappointing. I had looked forward to the tea since I booked 2 months in advance. I did have a dietary restriction of no chocolate/caffeine for one of us which could substitute so much. I also checked with them before even booking. I brought my niece and she was super unimpressed too. How can a 14 year old be not impressed with chocolate? For $150+ it was not worth it at all. The 2 stars was because the staff was nice. The food though not impressive at all. The savories were fine but the pastries...not good. The Eton mess was okay but Ive had better. The cinnamon roll and lemon floss was inedible. The cake pop, chocolate shake and in my case berry smoothie was bland. Also the kitchen didnt fully even understand what had chocolate in it. What pastry chef doesnt know that? The Willy Wonka theme was a bust. No other part of the experience had to do with Willy Wonka or the feel. Pass and try another.

We went there because i am allergic to wheat flour .The food was cook perfectly and was delicious. We had a good time. Our waitress Fanta.S was very courteous and upbeat. Very lucky to have her taking care of us. Big thanks to the Chefs and Fanta.

Lovely setting, staff and meal was amazing. I think the reason my score is one star off is the choices on the menu where a bit limited. Having said that if you are catering for people with ceoliac disease or dairy intolerance then it is extremely difficult to have an enormous choice of food. Having said that the meal was faultless.

Came here on a date as my partner is a celiac, all the food is gluten free and she was pleased that she didnt have to scrutinize the menu for what she could have for a change. We had the tasting menu which was amazing all the courses were lovely. Both ambiance and staff were lovely. We paid £165 including service for two tasting menues, half a bottle of wine (driving) a gin and tonic, and a sparkling water, which for what we got was good value.Would go again.

Had the Willy Wonka afternoon tea with the children. THIS IS NOT THE RITZ! It was very very good, the staff were very attentive and helpful. The food and cakes were good. Excellent afternoon tea to take with young children. Lots of other children in the restaurant too. As I said this is not the ritz, but is far more suitable for children, they loved it, my wife and I liked it. Came away happy.

Nice looking place, but overpriced for what you get.Very disappointed. With all the other restaurants and eateries in the same vacinity, all this place has is its brand, the food should be exceptional, but its poor. My friend had fish, it was undercooked, still with bone and the veg were also undercook and minimal.The wine overpriced and tasteless.Dont recommend and certainly wont be returning.

Lots of waiters but no service.We waited, and waited, and waited. There were nine sat tables and five service staff. Despite this our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. The following drinks never arrived, and they forgot to serve the salad with its dressing. Staff were removed minded... and about the missing drinks, but neither turned up. We skipped dessert and left, but not before they tried to charge me for the missing drinks. All a shame as the food was of good quality and it was a long overdue date night with my wife.
