Perfect place for fresh and authentic dim sum. Staff and friendly and although rushed since they are so busy, it’s reasonable.I would recommend the Taro and black truffle swan and the har gao which is top notch.

Fantastic place to experience the authentic taste of China in London. Professional staff will take you on a journey to posh interpretation of the oriental cuisine. Even those who have never tried Chinese cuisine before will have a great experience with their dim sum menu. Royal China Club offers a selection of the best Chinese dishes, their simple menu doesn’t confuse the reader like many Chinese restaurants do with hundreds of unknown dishes listed on a small, laminated piece of paper. Expensive place, but you pay for the quality: excellent selection of wines, and fresh seafood and vegetables.I highly recommend this place and I am not surprised that the Royal China Club is listed on the Michelin Guide. They deserve six stars, but Google allows me to give max five.

I went here with my Mum as I didn’t want to venture into Chinatown and my mum didn’t want to try Phoenix restaurant which I highly recommend. Anyway, we went there and as soon as we went in, we felt a bit under dressed as we didn’t research into this restaurant. We were treated with great care by the waitress but my Mum who is a bit old fashioned was very loud about how expensive the dishes were, which was slightly embarrassing. Anyway, mum ordered some won ton noodles and this male waiter, who was quietly eavesdropping went up to us and said in a slightly condescending voice, it’s £12.50 as if to indicate we couldn’t afford it. Anyway, the waitresses were very friendly and kind. I found some of the waiters a bit snobby. Another waiter told us, you need to use the sanitiser on the table, you need to put the mask away in the envelope, as if we were stupid. Seriously it’s strange how judgemental some waiters can be. However, the food was worth the price as I can honestly say it felt like Michelin star restaurant. Next time, I’ll prob return to Phoenix restaurant as it’s better value and has nice setting. This place is good, but it feels like every waiter or waitress is listening to your comments and your private conversations as they appear from nowhere. Great service from waitresses though!

I love this place! We usually go down to royal china, but the staff here is much more friendly and the food is amazingly tasty. There are some dim sums you actually can’t find anywhere else. It’s not innovative fusion like yauatcha - which btw is so over hyped. This is authentic yet special great Cantonese dim sum! I love cheung fun and steamed dumplings as well as the honey duck pastry. You just can’t find a bad dish here.

I go to Royal China Club quite a bit and always enjoyed it but had a very unpleasant experience on my last visit. We had made a reservation a week prior but when we got to the restaurant they couldn’t find it on their system. We were shoved to one side and told to wait while they seated other guests. Eventually when they got back to us they kept saying we hadn’t made a reservation and to prove it. They insisted on scrolling through our phone log to check we had actually called them. When I said that wasn’t ok for them to do that, they told me to watch my tone. We were seated eventually with no apology and a grey cloud over the whole experience

One of the most exquisite Chinese restaurants in London, part of the Royal China Group, which also owns Golden Dragon & Four Seasons Roast Duck in Chinatown. If you fancy high quality Chinese food in a fancier setting, this is authentic and you will be able to find most of the dishes you crave and miss from Asia. They recently launched a high tea dimsum set too, if you fancy late lunch or early din and want to treat yourself or some guests.

Great decor which gives a sense of a 5 star hotel and elegance. Lots on the menu to choose from, what you wouldn’t normally get in a regular Chinese which I liked. The food was really good and natural tasting using food ingredients but could get better for the price elsewhere. Food could have been served hotter. The presentation of the food was fab; the shredded chicken in the ‘nest’ etc. However.... one of the staff was not polite and snooty upon us asking questions about the food and recommendations, however the younger staff member was very lovely.

Always back to this chain and 1st time trying out the Club on recommendation by a friend. Ordered their signature dim sum dishes and all was a devin rollercoaster experience. Mushroom bun with truffle (would be nicer to share this as flavour can be intens on 2,5 bun), juicy shanghai crab pork dumpling, crab dumpling in broth and fish maw, seafood cheung fan (rice transculant pancake). The dumpling dough is very refined and thin which shows that its made by an excellent dimsum chef. The taste of ingredients are full of flavour which bring you to an absolute divine Cantonese food journey. Some cons, I noted MSG in some dimsum dishes

My wife invited me to a celebration birthday lunch, her favourite nearby Chinese restaurant was closed. We made a mistake entering this restaurant without pausing at the front door to study the menu.Prices - We would have seen the vastly overpriced (at least 30%, maybe 40%) lunch menu and moved on, looking for a better value restaurant.Decor and toilets - Very goodStaff - WelcomingFood -1. For the price charged, the dim sum courses should have been more pleasing to the eye2. At least one more item in each basket3. The main courses should have been better cooked and presented4. Review №52

The dim sums were OK but the bad after taste comes from the way they gouge money from you: they charged £18 for a pot of chinese tea for 4 people; a single dumpling in soup was £13?! (wasnt even huge) and ordinary fried rice with a few prawns cost $16. And they kept reminding us they needed the table back by 2pm. At 1.45pm on a Sunday there weer plenty of empty tables. Is it any wonder that they closed their other restaurant next door? And avoid their desserts unless you like a thin layer of mango mousse sandwiched between a very springy fluorescent green gelatin on top and what tasted like blancmange below.

Had a dinner for 6 adults the other day and ordered Canadian crab, whole peking duck and vegetables and mushrooms, as well as dessert. Very disappointing food especially the crab that looked frozen, and not 3.5 pounds when it came out with very little meat. All this cost 450 pounds total for the meal and felt obliged to pay given my family was there, but expected a lot better given we have been to Royal China many times, as well as across the road and at Pearl Liang. Nice service, nice people, nice food. Their own dimsum is the best in town. Of course youve had roast duck a thousand times but this is different, it is crispy skin, it is beautifully presented. My own favourite dish is crab and sweetcorn soup. As you see it is nothing unusual, but it is unusually delicious. Crispy pork belly. Singapore noodles, usual fare, just 10x better than anywhere else. It can get a bit domestic,.. Babies and children, but Im told thats a good sign. In my humble opinion the best Chinese in the UK.

If you like being treated like a second class citizens then this is the restaurant for you. These are the most vile, racist and unprofessional establishment Ive ever been to.I went there with a couple of friends who were (people of colour) for her birthday. The moment we arrived we were immediately corned. We waited 10 minutes before we could be seated. Once we were seated and tried to make an order we were told we had wait for the manager which I didnt understand, Ive never been to a restaurant were Ive had to be seen by the manager before placing an order. Once the manager arrived she informed us that we had to make payments before our food would arrive. This was a very unusual method, so I asked the group of people who were sitting beside us and asked them if they had to make payments before dining which they replied no they pay after dinning. So I confronted the manager who ironically didnt have an answer and started to pretend like she couldnt understand English. The manager then said its because its a group dinner which made no sense because the group sitting beside had not been asked the same request. Now Ive heard of restaurants asking for a credit card to hold and this usually mandatory for all customers not for a specific group of people. Because it was my friends birthday she didnt want to book another venue so I had no choice. So me and my friends refused to pay service charge, were the manager then said everyone else pays which was even more ironic, considering the fact we were not being treated like everyone else we ended up not paying and I refused to pay service charge because I refuse to pay for service that is not met. Every time we ordered a drink we were told to make payments first, it was absolutely disgusting how we were being treated. So after my meal one of my friends approached on of the waiters, to where she confronted him about the ill treatment. The waiter replied it usually you people who dont like to pay obvious statement meaning black people. Whether that was a regular recurrence at their restaurant, that is still no excuse to treat and judge people based on colour. At that moment I really wished my friend had recorded that conversation but she wasnt with her phone. The only reason why I stayed was because it was my friends birthday and she just wanted to celebrate and she had already made reservations and it was too late to make last minute arrangement. If not, I would have picked up and left. I refuse as black woman to still be judged based on the colour of my skin. Being treated differently and publicly humiliated. This restaurant is trash and their food isnt even that great. If you want to support racists then go head!!

The food was tasty so certainly cannot complain about that, but the prices are absolutely outrageous and certainly not worth what we paid. The ambience is non existent and for the money you are paying you would expect much much better service, you are not made to feel welcomed in my opinion. I think its fascinating that you can go to somewhere like the delaunay where you are waited on hand and foot, in much more impressive surrounding and just much more of an experience for around the same price point. I dont understand what warrants the price here? But again..the food was tasty and I can imagine if flavour is all you care about this place would be great.

The ‘club’ in the name makes RCC sound like a members-only section of the Royal China Group, which isn’t far from the truth. This, the premier link in the chain, has an air of quiet elegance found in five-star hotels, right down to the faint tinkling of a piano. The kitchen turns out consummate Cantonese cooking, using prized ingredients (abalone, lobster, veal) at every opportunity. Even simple noodle dishes are elevated to premium status. Wherever possible, the polished, softly spoken staff employ silver-service methods, making everyone feel like a visiting dignitary.
