Delightful evening out 🦚 Live music 🎼 opulent interior, silver service with a smile and delectable elevated Chinese dishes. The music was a double bass, piano and a most talented and enchanting young singer πŸ’ƒπŸ½ Gorgeous renditions of old classic crooning. The concept appears to be 1920s London Speakeasy come gilded orient mystique. Its quite posh but relaxed. Very pricey but lovely for a treat. I was there on a Monday so no burlesque and fantasy - just a lovely evening out. The sweet & sour pork was a triumph in simplicity, exquisite ingredients and balance. The steamed bass, sadly, set us back over Β£50 but had a sauce that was a little cloying. The natural flavour of the flesh was sadly lost. Too much mirin maybe?

Park Chinois is my absolute favourite Chinese restaurant in Central London and believe me, I have been to a lot! The interior makes you feel like you are part of a movie set but in the most classy way and the live entertainment just makes this place so so so special!! They also have a great selection of food for vegetarians and I would eat here every day if I could! 10000* from me

Nice ambience, live jazz is good - not too loud, not too soft. Apart from that nothing extraordinary or outstanding. But petty on behalf of the restaurant to have charge entertainment cover charge of Β£10 per head, given the high prices. If you can manage to get the attention of the server to take the order then service of food on the table is fast. We struggled to get his attention for the first 33 mins. We even got the menu when we asked for it after being seated for 10-12 mins.Food is okay. Service below average. Still a busy place, make reservations in advance. Personally cannot understand the hype.

If youre looking for a not so common restaurant bar in London, this place could be a very good choice. Never going again. First and last time of my Park Chinois journey. Was meant to be a special dinner for my partner’s birthday but it was quite the opposite. Poor service with waiters never fulfilling my requests eg I asked 4 different waiters to bring soy sauce to eat with my starters…food also was very poor, and I’m so disappointed. They also never told me at the time of booking that there is a 25Β£ charge pp for β€œwatching the show”. Wish I was writing something positive but sadly this experience really tarnished the Park Chinois name for me - a name for which I only heard glowing things prior to my own experience

The entertainment and drinks were the best bits about this restaurant. The staff were all lovely but the food was poor. I wouldnt complain about it, but there was nothing which impressed me or my friend. It was very underwhelming. I would describe the quality similar to a bar or pub, not a restaurant. My friend often eats at very high end restaurants in London, I have travelled extensively in Asia and often eat out. Both of us came away saying it was nice but not at all special. I couldnt recommend it to a friend. Its incredible reading other reviews. Many say similar to myself, other say this place is amazing. If you think this is amazing, you really need to get out more.

First impressions were good... decor extravagant & staff attentive. Our waiter helped with recommendations on the menu & was efficient. No long waits for food or drinks & staff polite, courteous & helpful. We ordered a variety from the menu... 3 starters, a rice & noodle dish & 2 meat dishes. We were not overly impressed with the food. The only dish we both actually enjoyed was one of the starters. The dim sum wasnt very nice at all and I would go as far to say that I didnt really like any of the other dishes. I also didnt like that the waiter brought us the dessert menu before we had finished the mains suggesting that our 2 hour slot was coming to an end. There were lots of other tables not in use so I found it quite rude to suggest that paying customers should speed up. The Cabaret acts whilst good are a bit off putting whilst eating. I liked the idea when we made the booking, however would not choose that option again. The biggest nightmare was I woke from my sleep 3 hours after eating the meal vomitting!!! I had only eaten breakfast that day & the meal from the restaurant so there was nothing else that could have caused the vomitting. I do not drink alcohol so only had non alcoholic cocktails. I literally didnt stop vomitting until every trace of food was removed from my body and the following morning felt fine again. Definately wouldnt go again. Overpriced Chinese that isnt even nice... For 2 people the meal came to Β£350

Just felt disappointed with the service....when youre paying Β£500 for a dinner for two people it would be nice if the staff didnt act like they were doing US the favor. No warmth....was hard to get the waiters attention....even on entry there was no great customer service to make you feel excited to be there....staff can really make or break a business....hopefully it was a one off because after my next try if its the same I wont try a third time round.

No idea how many times I have already visited Park Chinois. Old Shanghai style decor likes time machine, it brings you back to 1930s.Undoubtedly, they are serving the best dim sum and Peaking duck in London. And I really like their meat and vegetables dishes. I believed that they are using the best quality ingredients.Fusion Chinese cuisine is quite difficult to handle it but Park Chinois balance it well. Only thing I am worrying is there are too many choices and limited stomach space, easily to get lost in the menu. And their night entertaining performance is fantastic. If I am earning more, I do love to visit Park Chinois always.

I have no choice but to choose to give 1 star rating to this place. Unfortunately I would say this place is 0 star rating. Had a evening meal inside Park Chinois unfortunately I was very disappointed as this place it is suppose to be high end but did not meet to my standards. Firstly it is not easy to catch the staffs attention. Secondly when ordering my food the waiter had got my order mixed up with someone else’s order. Thirdly when the starters came out to the table each starter was given at different timings and also I had found a hair in the food. I had then requested to speak to the manager as hygiene was poor. The manager thought it was expectable for a hair to be in the food and offered to replaced the dish. At this point I did not stay for mains or dessert and paid the bill and had to pay the service charge. I was not happy with this place at all. It’s lovely for its atmosphere but don’t be fooled food is horrible and over priced. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Atmosphere was good. The food was ok the poor rating is in relation to the lack of information regarding no entertainment in the month of August.I booked this venue for a 40th event and we travelled 13 ladies from Edinburgh. Reservations failed to point out there was no entertainment that evening even after many correspondence and paying Β£1300 deposit. Had we known we would have booked somewhere else as we took 10pm booking for dinner so we could enjoy what Park Chinois is known for. Disappointed absolutely they hassle we then had with our bill after charging for guests who were not there and the restaurant were notified. All in all terrible night due to lack of entertainment and the handling by management. Wouldn’t go back wouldn’t recommend there are many fabulous restaurants were you can spend your money for better food and service.

I went here hoping to hate it due to its ludicrous opulence and departure from anything that resembles traditional Chinese cuisine. However, I left with a big smile on my face having had delicious food and enjoyed brilliant entertainment from the resident performers. We opted for the tasting menu which came with Peking duck (please dont add the caviar - it is utterly pointless and doesnt stand up to the powerful flavour of the duck and plum sauce), lobster, some other meat dishes and some delicious deserts. We sampled a couple of bottles of their wine list which, unsurprisingly, was a catalogue of overpriced plonk. Probably not worth the money, but a heck of a good time nonetheless.

I have never written a restaurant review before but felt compelled to do so after my disastrous experience at this restaurant. Why oh why cant I give no stars. The food and atmosphere was terrible. Greasy duck. The Spicy chicken dish was inedible- better in my local takeaway. Black cod was overcooked. The thing that really stuck out was the service. No attentiveness at all from the staff. Now Im not asking to be fussed over, but having to shout out to a staff member to have our glasses filled from our ice bucket after trying to make eye contact for at least 10 minutes is ridiculous. We asked if we could move downstairs for drinks after dinner, as there was a lack of atmosphere and the waitress said she would ask but didnt come back to us! 500 pounds for the 2 of us.Wouldn t have minded as much if it correlated to quality but not at all. Service was rushed and non attentive. I did complain but was met with a shrug of the shoulders and an offer to remove the service charge.I would have expected to be able to speak to the manager. And to top it off, when I asked reception to order my wife and I a taxi I was told to ask the doormen. I then asked them and was told they hadnt seen a taxi for an hour and sniggered. An utter disgrace for Mayfair. It has become a tourist trap as its nice decor is a deceptive fascade.

We came here for an Anniversary dinner and had a slightly mixed experience. The main selling point of the place is the presence of live music during your meal, inspired by the Shanghai clubs of old. This was clearly the best aspect of the night. We first enjoyed an instrumental set by the band (Four Clouds of Joy - piano, drums, double bass, violin), and then a couple of very nice sets by Diva Amy with the band. It does make it a special experience. Other elements were mixed - not all tables have a good view of the band. If thats important to you, request a suitably located table. We liked a table further away from the band but which had side by side seating for the two of us, giving us both a view. The food itself was not hugely remarkable. The egg rice was similar to the standard you could get from a humble restaurant like Gold Mine on Bayswater - nice but probably not what they were going for! We had that with Japanese aubergine and tofu (the tofu was nice, the aubergine pretty tasteless). The Park Carbonara was visually stunning and reasonably tasty. Service was hit and miss - our main waiter, Alex, was very friendly, but others were less so. It feels like the place had a surplus of waiters, many of which were not too sure what to do. The bathrooms are worth a visit - seriously opulent decor.

In the ongoing battle for the unofficial title of London’s most decadent restaurant, Park Chinois is up there. It opened in 2015 on Berkeley Street, surrounded by swanky neighbours (Nobu, Hakkasan Mayfair, Benares, Sexy Fish), and became an instant hit with Mayfair’s glittery jet set. The bar is the first port of call, lined with red-velvet stools and manned by handsome mixologists in tuxedos. In the dimly lit dining room, Salon de Chine, the walls are covered in thick swathes of red and gold silk and, in the evening, a jazz band sets up right in the middle of the tables. The tinkling piano and glamorous singer make the whole experience feel like you’re on an impossibly smart Twenties train journey where a murder could, at any point, take place. We suspect, though, the music also helps draw in Park Chinois’s long list of famous regulars – it’s hard to eavesdrop through supper over the sound of a jazz quartet. Downstairs, the members’ club atmosphere is taken a step further in Club Chinois, where each evening live dancers and gymnasts perform every few minutes.FOODDim Sum is the obvious place to start on the enormous, Chinese-inspired menu – the dim-sum platter has impeccably made, paper-thin dumplings filled with scallop, truffle or prawn. Beef ribs have been tea-smoked to give an earthy flavour and a mountain of salt and pepper squid is super crisp. The mains read like a shopping list of expensive ingredients: Wagyu rib-eye is stir-fried with Wagyu salami, roast duck is topped with Champagne and orange sauce and King Crab comes with 10-year-old wine. But we also like the simple-by-comparison sweet-and-sour IbΓ©rico pork, which is sticky and has layers of contrasting flavours. A side of duck-fried rice is a must-order, while the Park carbonara is an Asian take on the Italian classic, made with udon noodles and added sea urchin. Pudding has to be the rich 85 per-cent chocolate fondant, served with glossy RΓ©my Martin sauce and topped with a gold leaf.

The live entertainment was an unexpected but enjoyable element to my night here. The food was marvellous , particularly the starters. I was partial to the Wasabi Prawns but everything is top notch. Beautiful decor and mood setting lighting really gave the place an otherworldly vibe.
