We had an afternoon tea here while visiting london for a wedding. Ambience is colourful and staff is warm and friendly. Starters consisted of watermelon chat, pani puri and dahi puri chat which was delicious. The mains were of bombay sandwich and paneer kathi roll. Loved the kathi roll. Sweets were delicious as well. Overall a good experience with reasonable price of £25pp.

The staff at the door greeting diners was extremely helpful, professional and welcoming. We didnt have a reservation and it was busy and he managed to get us a seat, grateful for this. We tried a selection of foods which we enjoyed. The price is abit steep for the quantity you get but its expected around this location. Deco was nice, there is option to eat/drink outside. There isnt a facility got changing babies. I really liked the fact that the restaurant doesnt add service charge to the bill but gives you the option to add it yourself.

The staff is welcoming, but we were waiting to place our order and to get a bill for a while. The food is delicious. Main dishes dont include sides even rice. 3 paneer slices with couple of leaves and green sauce costs £12. I think its overoverpriced, although it was tasty. Masala is simply average. We got complimentary desserts at the end of the meal. They were amazing.4 stars because I think its overpriced for small portions. Yes, free dessert is cool, but I expected the main course experience.

We booked a table for 6 last Saturday night, had to ask for a menu, first drinks came reasonably quickly, then things started to go downhill slowly. We asked if the plates were suitable for sharing, “yes” came the answer. Whilst the food is delicious here, the way it is served isn’t suitable for sharing. Everything is individually plated, which is fine, but if you’re asked, then you should inform the customer. As for the service, it was very slow. I got the impression they were at least 2 servers short.Plates were not cleared away very quickly 15 mins at least per course. Drinks were delivered and the server walked away empty handed on so many occasions.Overall, the food and ambience were as good as each other, however, the service needs a lot of improvement. A little more training would go a long way. Diners don’t like clutter on the table.

Really great food and warm atmosphere in Covent Garden. Lost points for the service (really slow and clumsy waiting staff)... also, for a restaurant that has at its core the offer of smaller sharing plates (considering many will be ordered at the same time), the table are smaller than usual for a restaurant... guess they tried to maximise the space? We ordered 4 dishes + pita bread and we had to literally put the wine bottle on the floor cause there was nowhere to move around and the waiting staff didn’t really care to help accommodate the plates.

The food was phenomenal with an atmosphere to match. Saw the great reviews and it was on the Bib Gourmand list. The server walked us through the menu and we were very pleased with all his recommendations. Everything we ordered was well seasoned and plated beautifully. Colocasia & Fenugreek Tikki Chaat and the Lucklow Chicken Biryani is a must try. The drinks were mediocre. The basal gimlet type drink that was on the specials menu was essentially just a glass of ice. Other than that, it was a great experience.

The waitress is lovely beyond belief. She makes you feel comfortable and right at home. I only saw the one lady serving that night and she was Polish but unfortunately I didnt catch her name. Only downside was that the portion sizing for some dishes is super small. I paid over 20 for some steamed greens which were unseasoned and it was just one type of veg and then the chicken dish was just 4 cubes of chicken breast with two small dollops of sauce. I was gutted. It was such a simple dish, why would they skimp on it?

Visited this restaurant for mums birthday and loved the experience. The snacks (chaats) and desserts were heavenly! The kulfi was the best I have ever eaten. The mains were good too, flavoured but not the stars of the night. What really shone though, and the main reason we will be back is the service. We were looked after by a young man whos name I didnt catch (sorry) and Annie, who in particular was very attentive, considerate and went above and beyond to make sure each table was having a great night. They bought my mum a surprise birthday dessert and sang to her, without any prompting! The service staff are a real credit. Thank you all for a great night and hope to see you soon!

The best samosa I’ve ever had in my life. Food is ridiculously tasty. Forty-five minutes after we ordered, a nice chap came and asked if we were ready to order. The girl that was serving us hadn’t put our order in the system. At the end the same girl dropped a curry dirty knife on my sister’s lap… manager came and apologised but no free drinks or extra samosas as compensation… My compensation was my delicious food and finding out they have a Michelin star!!! I have been to many Indian restaurants around central London and comparatively this was average. Menu was A4 paper printout. Tea was served in a traditional looking kettle but did not taste good at all. Starters were tasty. Mains tasted all right too except for okra which had yellow gravy and popdum smashed on top! 🤔 it did not taste good at all. The quantity of daal was exponentially less than other dishes. They don’t have any salads or condiments. Limited variety of desserts, chocolate rasgulla was interesting. Ambience was okay-ish. Toilets were very dirty. Service was slow. I felt that waiters are not fond of Indian food and were working there for the sake of it 🤷🏻‍♀️

We came here on advice of the Time Out list best dishes in London. We had the Rogan Josh Shepard pie, which is indeed incredibly good, very tender and well flavoured. However, to our great disappointment, we wanted to order two cocktails. Twice the waiter had to come back and tell my friend that they didnt have the cocktail shed ordered. Once I could forgive, but twice, on a list only about 6 cocktails long, this is very poor, and having to change your order twice is no fun. Further, the cocktail she ended up with wasnt even that good - and they arent cheap! We also had chaat, which was very good.Overall, food is good (little expensive, but they do have good multi-course offers), waiter was very friendly, but the restaurant seems ill-prepared, and things are a little expensive for what you get. Too bad, as its a lovely looking place, with good food. Just needs to go the extra mile.

We were disappointed with the food quality on some dishes. The food served to us was not hot. We were really excited about the Old Delhi butter chicken and the black daal but both were bland and barely warm. The tandoori roti was very dry. The masala chai tasted like it was made hours ago and left in a cattle. Apart from the above, we liked the chicken tikka naan, lamb chakli and desserts. Overall, the experiance was not as great as I would expect from Vivek Singhs food quality.Missed to mention, we were very rushed to leave the table by 8pm even though we booked in advance. We were told to leave by 8pm at the beginning and the reminded 20, 10 and 5 minutes before 8pm. We were made to make the payment while having our desserts so not a great place for a good customer service.

All of our choices, from the table snacks to the chaats to the mains were very good (tapioca chips), excellent (hummus, grilled aubergine) or outstanding (butter paneer). I recently visited Cinnamon Bazaar for the first time. It’s a good Indian restaurant in Covent Garden if you fancy a curry. I am a vegetarian. I ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhani, Naan bread and Rice. The preparation was good though I would not order the dal makhani again. Just coz I am very fussy about dal makhani and there are very few restaurants who do it well and authentic. My hubby ordered a Fish Curry and he really enjoyed it. A very special mention of their Mango Cardamom Creme Brûlée. It was amazing! I would definitely visit again whenever I am in and around the area.

Lovely staff, lovely food, nice coffee, everything was fresh and tasty. Will definitely go back. We had some snacks here (outside) as they are extending the Eat Out To Help Out offer. Menu had proper allergy listings, and the main menu mentioned alternative menus were available for this - they werent. The staff happily talked me through the options. I cant eat cow dairy and the choice seemed to be a bit limited. Like other places, maybe the menu is limited due to Covid and low footfall in the west end? Had chaat, prawns and rice. Small portions! Unless you have a free budget this is a place to taste nice new foods rather than get a filling meal. I normally avoid central London, am a bit sad it is so quiet at the moment but it is also a good chance to enjoy the area without so much going on. Like many west end eateries the toilets were down steep rather dark steps in the basement.

For our mains, we ordered the Tandoori Chicken Breast Malai Tikka, Double-cooked Pork Belly, Paneer Butter Masala, and the Jaipur Style Okra. It was my first time trying okra, and it was quite tasty! However it is often the simple things that stand out - the plain rice was perfectly steamed and as light as a feather, the garlic nan was one of the best Ive had; again perfectly cooked and with finely diced fresh garlic, not the crushed garlic out of a jar so many kitchens use.
