What a terrific find in Laval! We had spicy grilled chicken and assorted meat plate with a very nice red house wine. The roasted meat with paprika was so delicious. Mum said she hadnt enjoyed a roasted chicken this much in decades. And for dessert a homemade Portuguese tartlet which was.perfect.Service was fab. Simple setting which was just fine. Thank you to all the staff.

Very small restaurant. They give complimentary bread and olives which is nice.We were 3, ordered one plate of chicken and a platter to share. The chicken was good but very salty. Didnt care for the rest of the meat, the pork seemed a bit over cooked and the sausage was chewy so we really only ate the chicken. Salad and fries were good. Portuguese beer was also pleasent, but a bit pricey. Waitress was nice, but the guy who served our drinks kept poring a 7up while looking at it and didnt stop until it overflowed on to the floor and served the glass sticky with no apology or offer to bring a new drink since the glass wasnt full. Very bizarre.

Some of the best chicken youll have in this areas. Char-grilled with a mild or spicy sauce topping. It almost tastes South American, and super delicious. Lunch special choices were chicken (light or dark), chorizo sausage, or grilled sardines, paired with pomme frites and a tasty salad. Had the breast and wing and the chicken literally falls off the bone. Parking is a little spotty but a public parking lot is about 200m away with a few more potential spots.

The service was not impressive because it took a while which we did not mind thinking we will get the great food and fresh. we ordered a lot but the chicken was very dry and half of the plate was rather burned. my family went there before and said the chicken was not bad (when an older gentleman cooked it). next time we would rather go to Romados in Montreal.pricey for the burned dry chicken if you ask me

Whenever Im in Montreal on a business trip, I make an effort to eat here. Its a family owned restaurant and the food is amazing. I usually order the ribs and chicken entree and it never disappoints. Ill usually have the shrimp appetizer and save the sauce for the complimentary bread.The atmosphere is intimate and cozy with clean restrooms. I most definitely recommend this place if you want authentic Portuguese food.

Very small and cozy restaurant. The food was excellent as well as the dessert (try the tartelettes) and the staff was nice. The chicken is definitely the thing you want to take here very flavourful. However i took the ribs and it was still amazing very tender. The only thing would be that it was a bit cold because it is a small restaurant and it was pretty cold outside but that’s just me nitpicking otherwise pretty amazing, i find it quite hard to find a good chicken restaurant in Montreal or around Montreal but this one definitely deserve a try.

This is an authentic hidden gem! It is a small kinda family restaurant with great service and a really amazing chef. The food here is the most yummy tasteful that I have tried in my whole life. Home made salad dressing out of this world, seafood and meats incredible delicious. If you are in Montreal- Laval, dont miss the opportunity to eat here.

Hands down the best Portuguese chicken. We went on a Sunday for early supper and the restaurant was empty but the phone was constantly ringing for orders. We didnt wait too long for the food to come. The soup was good, nothing exceptional but was nice to have in this freezing weather. The portions were fair for the price you pay. But this chicken is just simply amazing! Very flavorful and tender. We loved it. Its worth driving out of Montreal for this!

Awesome. We went on a Friday night, so it was full up. You cannot be in a rush, as we waited for our order to be taken and food to be delivered. However, well worth the wait. Wife had the steak, which she had dreams of for the next two days. I had the chicken and rib combo. The ribs are good, but the chicken...people you have to get the chicken. I gave a few bites to my wife (thats all I would spare), we were so impressed we asked if we can take the marinade home. (You can buy some). One day I will surprise my wife, and swing by to get some takeout chicken.I am sure she will show me her gratitude.

Having only gone twice, the service and food are really exceptional. Once you make up your mind on your order, it literally takes a few minutes for your food to arrive. Definitely a restaurant to step foot into at least once. You wont regret it!

Delicious, big portions, and quality service. Honestly one of the best chicken I have tasted. I got the chicken sandwich with fries and a half litre of house wine. The house white wine was surprisingly good! And the chicken sandwich with spice was fantastic! Highly recommend, Ill be back.

Upon my friend Luc`s recommendation I stopped by with my daughter to pick up the chicken special to go. This is hands down the best Portuguese chicken I have ever had!!! Manny the owner is great and the food is amazing.

Portuguese chicken was amazing and, oh those fries. But 4 stars because the salad that came with the combo was soggy and we had to throw it away. The guys were nice but disappointed with the salad and the drink. Offer coke or Pepsi or something other than traditional drinks! Great food!

I happen to see a review on Facebook and felt compelled to reply. I am a frequently flyer and I love finding little gems of good food all over the globe. Brazas happenes to be one of them. The real authentic Portugese resto serving only Portugese wine and beer to accompany the delicious food!! Now to address the review I read which by the way had nothing to do with the food, butwith a seating arrangement. My message for these people... 2 people is a table for 2 everywhere you dine in the world especially when the place is busy Have respect and dont criticize if you havent even eaten the FOOD!!! Maybe try to go out a bit more!!!!

Looking for somewhere different Led us to brazos portuguaise restaurant. A very small intimate space with a very large welcome is how I would describe it. The service was impeccable and caring. My friend enjoyed moules and fettuccine while I dined on Portuguese chicken. We began our evening with a Portuguese wine and shared an entree of fish cakes..very tasty. A custard tart dessert and cafe were a perfect finish to a relaxed and enjoyable evening. We will certainly be back to this little gem hidden in ste. Rose.

I mistook this place for Brazzers headquarters, but who could blame me right? There was a full film crew walking around the cramped and fully booked resto filming everything, including the kitchen sink. I was expecting Allie Haze to walk out of the back room with the money shot all over her face. but alas no. They were filming a documentary about Chorizo, at least thats what I deduced.The night started off with a relaxing 35 minute wait at the front door, even though we had made reservations for 7 PM. It wouldnt have bothered me that much had the second door been properly insulated. The missing glass panels at the bottom allowed refreshing -20 degree Celsius air tickle your ankles.Once we were seated they provided us with ample time to enjoy the decor, another 30 minutes later and we finally got our menus. Time to eat.The House wine was tolerable, nothing says classy like a 20 L box of wine. The chicken was the star of the night. The fries and salad tied for second place, but Chorizo sausage didnt impress.In conclusion, I can understand the allure of a dimly lit, cramped space, that might give you the impression of how it really must have been in Portugal in the 1800s, but this place could sure use more room and definitely more staff.Tchau

My husband and I had dinner here last Sunday and the food was absolutely fantastic. We shared the meat platter which was a very generous double portion and still got to bring a little home. Huge plate of fries and fresh salad too. No one makes chicken on the grill like the Portuguese so that part was super. The chourico was so wonderfully lean - not a piece of chewy fat on it - would love to know where they get their chourico from LOL! but our favourite on the platter had to be the pork febres. When we go again, pretty sure well both be ordering the pork plate cause it was spectacular. Our waitress (pretty blonde) was very efficient and extremely friendly - Id wave to her anytime. Best Portuguese chicken in greater Montreal area. I SUGGEST take out!

(Based on several experience) My family love this restaurant and its their destination for get together. However the last time I went we were crammed over one another and another time they made a reservation mistake and we had to quickly eat and we were shown the door. The food is good, no denying it, but I feel plates are expensive vs quantity. For the quick expulsion and cramped space cause overbooked and price vs quantity this rating is based on my experience.
