I love the breakfast. We come almost every Sunday. It’s 1 star because week after week they don’t seem to know how to have good staff levels. One person on till who also handles all online orders. If management can learn to schedule more staff and more efficient staff it would be wonderful.I must say also, cleanliness suffers from lack of staff as well. It’s busy easy Sunday morning. You’d think they would anticipate that.

The decor looked past its sell by date, I ordered classic, and basically no taste, the eggs were good. An experience I dont really want to repeat but understand we r in COVID TERRITORY. The queue was slow and I guessed because of staff shortage.Very lack lustre experience. The male toilet was clean.

This is the saddest chicken burger Ive ever experienced in my life.I tried to feed the crow a couple fries and he flew away in disgust.

The worst fries ever. Not even edible and horrible tasting. They tasted very old and moldy. I took one bite and spat it out. I couldn’t even give them to my dog. Absolutely disgusting. I will never come back. You guys should be ashamed of yourself!

[Update] September 14, 2020 - Had to wait a few minutes for my burger in a lettuce wrap but its morning so so big deal I am happy they serve lunch at breakfast unlike most places. My food was brought to me by a polite young lady who was wearing a mask but I could tell she was smiling underneath it. All staff observed wearing masks. Thank you for your front line service and for upholding the safety protocols set forth by government to combat the spread of pandemic!---------------------------------------------------------------------- best service and polite staff who make the best chicken lettuce wraps. mmmm yum.

Absolutely disgusting. Had the worst fries ever. One bite and I spat it out. I wouldn’t even give them to my dog. They tasted old and not edible at all. I will never go back. It was enough to turn me off from eating any fast food ever again. You guys should be embarrassed of yourself!

A regular place for me as it is in my neighbourhood. Plenty of space and good internet but the food is average and service is even worse. Sometimes closing time is an arbitrary decision on their part; despite the posted closing time being 11pm. Being told 10:35pm as I write this. Will be looking for a different place from now on.

Food is expected but kind of soggy. Place is ok and a bit dirty but kept up a bit. There are some holes on the couches but its been repaired. Servers are good and fast.Good place for a party since it has lots of open space. Not lot of people come here anymore.-2 has a smell. Probably chemicals from cleaning. Not kept clean.

Probably won’t come back again. Wait time is extremely long. I spent 15 mins on waiting for order (only one family ahead of me, 11am at weekend). And another 10mins for the food. Why didn’t I choose McDonald’s?????? The cashier touched the cash and pack the food without wash her hand!!!

I ordered a burger with light sauce and wrapped in lettuce. And they just gave me a regular burger. Good thing I checked my order before driving away.

Ive never had a bad experience at a&w. Its t little more expensive then McDonalds or Burger King but you have to remember, you get what you pay for.

Drive thru service is always very slow regardless of what time I went. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately not all AW are all the same from downtown Vancouver to New Westminster from food quality, service and even payments. One location that have been pretty consistent was the one on Kingsway. I never have to line up too long, servicer have always been good and they accepts all payments type, which is huge for me. I hate it when Im about to pay and they say sorry we dont accept amex. Ive had to walk out a few times because of it, sorry. Take out from AW is like a healthier spoiled day for me haha. You cant beat fast food take out and movie nights.

While I’m not opposed to non-meat burgers per se, I’ve tried many over the years with varying level of success. Generally, the thing that usually turns me off “veggie” burgers is the texture. Recently A&W has been really promoting their “Beyond Meat” burger which they claim is made from 100% plant-based protein. Sounds kinda vague, doesn’t it?What exactly is “plant-based” protein? Is this a “veggie” burger or is this something else? When you go to their website, the list of ingredients include red beets (for colour and vitamins), coconut oil (for a juicy flavour), yellow peas (for the protein), pomegranates (for vitamins), mung beans (for texture), rice (for protein), potatoes (a binder), and apples (for antioxidants). The burger is topped with lettuce, tomato, red onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayo (and you can add cheese to your burger at an additional cost).Okay, that’s a lot of information… but how does it look and taste? The burger itself looked fairly “normal” with the exception that the meatless patty looked slightly lighter in colour than you’d expect with a meat patty. Full disclosure – I added a couple of onion rings to my burger as I expected the texture of the patty to be a bit off. The burger actually tasted pretty good… my best description would be that it tasted like a burger with a lot of fixins’.As I expected, the Beyond Meat patty did have something which was missing in the texture – like it was too soft. However, the addition of the crunchy onion rings helped to camouflage the missing texture of the patty.Would I order it again? Not sure. If you look at the nutritional information, the Beyond Meat burger actually has more calories, fat, and sodium than their regular Teen Burger so I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a “healthy” alternative. Also note that this burger is cooked on the same grill as their meat burgers (and the mayo and cheese contain dairy) so this wouldn’t really be considered vegan friendly. But if you’re looking for an alternative to a meat burger, this might be an option that you’d want to try out.On August 16th, I came back to A&W because they were having a special promotion going to support people suffering from MS (A&W would donated $2 from the sale of every Teen Burger). As it turned out, they had a sign on their front door saying that they were all sold our of their Beyond Meat burgers (I guess they must be really popular). I stuck with my Teen Burger and made sure to stuff a few fries in it (does anyone else do this?).I heard that it took about 2 months before the Beyond Meat Burger came back in stock. Have you tried one out yet?

Terrible customer service from confused and angry drive through associate to their joke of managements copy paste response. This location does not care how it treats its customers as long as wait times are less than a minute on their timer even though a order typically takes 2-3 minutes. dont tell me to pull forward be better at the job you chose and are paid to do.

Super friendly and fast service. Coffee always tastes like the appropriate amount of sugar was out into it, and always fresh. I like being able to pick up my mobile order through the drive through and have rarely had to wait long for my orders.

I always enjoy a good burger and a great root beer. Since I arrived to Canada 🇨🇦 I have enjoyed the flavor of the food here. Also try the onion rings...fantastic!

Worst service. This is the second time I ordered through uber, my first order instructions are not followed. Second, i ordered pancakes, there should be three but they only give two. This is the worst restaurant of a&w ever.

Would give it a zero stars id possible. Ordered online on the app and got a coffee. And then we went to the drive thru and she said Hello how may I help you The usual. And I said I ordered a coffee with 2 cream and 1 sugar and she said Sorry, we checked ALL of our orders qnd there were none. After waiting for 30 LONG HORRIBLE minutes, they actually found my order. It was on the list before the list they were looking at. Horrible servic3, would not come here again.

I used the drive through service because of the covid-19, the servers are patient , efficient and polite, I have my food very fast.

Had take-out here. Service is fast. Food good, especially the Whoppers. Drinks all watered down to the point where I dont know what I am drinking. Poutine also is quite horrible.

The burger was messy. This location is not going to stop me from going to A&W. Onion rings I ordered were very rich in oil.

I had to make them make me fresh fries.

Very crowded on weekend. Classic bacon and eggs are still great for breakfast or brunch.

Poor COVID protocols, they put my coffee and food down at the cash register and proceeded to have a conversation with the next guest over my tray. Incidentally I did call head office and was promised a call back to discuss my concern I havent heard a word from them yet. It does make me wonder if the problem originates with head office and not in the locations

Decent fast food

Really scrimped on the lettuce. Only one tiny or baby sized leaf in all 4 burgers (2 teen, one bacon cheddar uncle, and one chubby chicken). Geez, we didnt think that lettuce was that expensive that they couldnt a bit more than what we had. Now we have to think twice about going tmr to support Sinclairs MS cause.

Its a drive through what can you expect. The cashier was very pleasant.

I love that the girl manning drive thru in this location wears a fabric mark! I also love that A&W serves beef burgers during breakfast.

Almost every single item on my delivery order was wrong, but my name is on the bag. Seems like theres serious issues with organizing orders, not just a simple mixup. Please take this review seriously as online order is getting more important these days.

My work takes me all over the lower mainland and I go to A&w from Vancouver, Poco Mission to Chilliwack. I enjoy my meals, however I find consistently that South Burnaby is always understaffed, dingy, and service is always very slow. It appears to be the worst managed of all stores. Surrey Newton has consistently outstanding service.

This is a really good A&W. Even with social distancing, it is big enough that there are still numerous tables to use safely. There is a very nice staff here as well.

Beyond meat burger was good, but if anyone is wondering where to get salt for this winter, just buy some A&W onion rings. They were so incredibly oversalted. Service was also slow for a lineup of 3 customers.

The two can dine coupons offer great value.

I live nearby and as such eat here a lot. Unfortunately, my experience is that at least half of the time staff either forget to make something, make the wrong thing, take far too long to make the meal, or some combination of all 3. Ive also had them overcharge more than once. There are much better staffed A&Ws out there - I advise taking your business to them instead.

This location has been here forever. It would be great if they didnt water down their orange juice. Its an A&W. Dont you already charge enough. I like A&W but wow, stop ripping your customers off even more. I hope someone reports them to corporate for watering down your already expensive juice. Their landscaping sucks too.

My Burger put in up-side-down, it fell out of it packaging, I had to find the pieces and put it together. The pie well they are broken.I called to tell of my experience within 10 minutes of getting my Order. I was offer the replacement of the coupons Burger value only. Pies I get to deal with not impressed.I wont use coupons again. You get sub-standard service.Food was otherwise Good,

A&W are everywhere in Canada so I had to try one while visiting. This one was clean and had freindly staff. I got the cod burger which was 2 fish sticks on a bun but it was real fish and had a good tasting slaw on top. I liked the fries as well. Wife and daughter said the onion rings were very good.

Had the Beyond Beef Combo which was delicious BUT the fries were not freshly made. They had been sitting as they were just warm. I LOVE A&W fries BUT they need to be made when the order is put through and there was NO diet coke. All in all the burger was great, but just warm as well.

Terrible service on this branch, I ordered pancakes and sausage in drive-thru several times, I always ended up if there was no syrup, no butter and vice versa. Staffs are not paying attention, it seems they are not knowledgeable with what they are selling.

My husband and I like the food and coffee here.
