I ordered their shahi tukda and chicken biryani on Zomato. The shahi tukda had visible fungus on it and the chicken in the biryani tasted stale.

Pretty good i would say, if you ask me. This place offers a wide variety of mughal and arab inspired dishes at an economical price point. For people who want to grab a piece of a different cuisine and is on a budget food hunt, this place is the perfect spot. The staff is considerate and happy to help you.

As the name suggests they serve dishes with mughal-north indian tastes.Its more like a cafe than a restaurant. But the table service is good.We tried their masala tea, snacks, kheema, kadai chicken etc. Taste is not that exceptional but its good. Pocket friendly also.Overall a nice experience.

I liked the beef sheek kabab, samosas are filled in with actual meat , contrary to other places in Calicut.Biriyani was different,could defenitely give it a try, beef kheema was nice to have .Russian cutlets were not consistent, sometimes it tasted good, other times soggy with too much oil.

There r some good Bombay type dishes like white Malai biryani, dabba gosht, daal gosht, angaara gosht, kheema which r good. Also hyderabadi haleem is also very good. A change from the routine menus found in other hotels.

Bohra cuisine restaurant that offers tasty dishes and familiar dishes in different exotic version. Chicken biryani, tandoori and alfahm chicken, are all quite different even though the prices are little high. The place has limited seating as it is an improvised old building/ house, and to add to this, there is unusually long wait. Parking space is not available and the nearby road is also narrow. The warm lighting and overall ambiance is good. A place worth a visit, when you have leisure time.

The place has a good ambience , thanks to the interior and the lightings . Had Chicken Biriyani , tastes quite nice , in one word i would say Hyderabadi chicken biryani ,tastes almost like it .There is one more thing i used to have Russian Cutlet try that ....But it is costly now , menu has chunks of varieties too .

This small restaurant is the perfect place to go and hangout with your friends and grab a bite to eat. The best part of this place is their masala chai and it offers a wide range of items one can choose from , even if u want a light snack or a good Hardy meal. I would suggest it to any one and the plus point is that the people who run this place make you feel at home so a plus for hospitality.

Tasty food. The best quisine here is the combo that they have of daal gosht. Absolutely tasty and value for money and the Phirni here is just perfect. The only draw back I have is the snacks part. They are tasty but too oily if your health conscious. And when I say oily its not just oil fried but the oil drips from the samosa sometimes. Once a while you can indulge but not oil dripping indulgence. But apart from this one draw back i absolutely love the daal gosht. If you go to this place my suggestion is daal gosht and phirini. Full 5 star for these dishes.

The Bohras are back !!!...Bohra cuisine is something i first tried during the Ofir Food fest. Their dishes being uniquely flavourful was undoubtedly a hit during the fest! So when they opened their first outlet “The Bohra Caravan” i was beyond excited! Their snacks, Russian cutlet and kheema samosa are the best I’ve had! They have recently shifted to Silk Street,and for those of you who are lazy to head out, they are available on Swiggy as well!! This beef kheema roll is what I recently ordered on swiggy. Different from what i got the first time i ordered, but decent. Wish they had been consistent though coz i was expecting it to be the red hot beef kheema than the less warm beef kheema. It was less juicier but for those of you who havent tried it earlier this roll is really good. I’m just disappointed as it wasnt what i was expecting.

Nice hangout spot. Perfect for a cupa tea / coffee and some great snacks with friends. Would have loved to sit out for a longer while but the mosquitos made that impossible. But I guess theres nothing the Caravan team could have done abt that. On second thoughts provide us with a mosquito repellent coil? 😀

Well what do I say? If youre feeling a bit adventurous or think that the food in Kozhikode is getting mundane, give it a shot. Personally it didnt appeal my taste. The shahi tukda was too soggy for my liking and the beef shami kebab feels like a felafel- cutlet combination. The Russian cutlet has chunks of chicken and carrot within a mushy base. The gulab jamuns were sweet enough but had sugar crystals in them. Im no expert in Gujarati food and could very well be wrong, but I do think that the food here could do better.
