Superb ambience. Varieties of dishes are available. The staffs are friendly and well-behaved. Prices are just above average. Cant say the tastes are up to the mark. Separate parking space is available just opposite to the restaurant. Many varieties of dishes are available.

One of the must visit restaurants in Kozhikode. Thakkaaram has lot of other branches around kerala. Thakkaaram Calicut has opened recently. There are much variety of dishes in this restaurant. This restaurant has a really cool ambience.They welcome us with a small glass of buttermilk. We have ordered chicken mini shots as starters. They serve this chicken mini shots in two flavours. One is mayonnaise and the other one is something mixed with tomato sauce. Then we ordered ghee rice and chicken kebab. Their way of presentation is unique in case of chicken kebab.Good food. Good taste.

Excellent taste and courteous staff but the service was bit slow. Fish seems like frozen one as I felt some raw flavor. But overall satisfied with the service.

Thakkaaram is an iconic name among foodies. They opened new outlet in Calicut, beach road. It attaract plenty of customers. Restaurant have good attire and ambiance. They used retro theme here. Usually need to wait for getting seated. Seating capacity are limited for peak times. We had attin kaal soup as starte it was good one to try those who like mutton. Prawns tawa fry have good qutity for two people, taste was also good. Kada fry also good one to try.Staff was friendly and ready to serve. But they seems like confused in the peak times expect that overall good experience..

Try the Chicken Ghee Roast it’s genuinely quite good. But rest of the menu is nothing to write home about, it’s just okay-ish.

Good and yummy food, reasonable price, unique presentation.Tried the bamboo biriyani which was too good. The istanbul beef and porotta is really a good combination. The coolers were all good in flavour and reasonable in price. The tender coconut falooda was also good.

Nice ambience and good service we have ordered bellari beef and puttu. bellari beef was superb. The meat was really juicy and the semi gravy was splendid I was licking my fingers. I will try their other dishes in coming days for sure.

One of most overrated restaurant in Calicutme and my friend went there at 3 PM for lunch after some rush hours in town. it was my first time..when i entered there, they said all slots are full..we have to wait...we started waiting....after 20min...people are coming outside after their dine...but they didn’t call us...after 30 min i think about 20+ people went out...but no one called us...and then...after 45min they called us to inside...and 50% of table were free 😒😒😒may be cos of delay in cleaning table 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️then...we also entered to second stage of waiting for the menu 😂10+ min for the menu...i just found the reason it is delayed ie, there are 2 attenders for 50+ chairs 😐😐😐 and they don’t even what to do...they are hearing when we call...Almost one hour we spent for getting food..as we have to go...we ordered ready to dine food..that was Beef Biriyani. as per i requested to make it fast.they gave it within 5 min... 👏and another disaster was...it wasn’t Dum Biriyani 🥺🥺they are just giving Ghee Rice with Beef Masala..it was first time i ate Non Dum biriyani from Calicut.at last i asked at cash that “why u are giving food like this ?”and they replied “we are specialised in Goat head and beef leg ”😅summary:> supervisors should be active to assign table efficiently> never downsize employees in rush time.> make food authentic...even it is less moving...This is only my personal opinion on my experience i had...i don’t have any issue with these guys...🤗

Its a very pretty restaurant and the food really lives up to the Calicut food hype. I tried the combo which had 2 parottas, chicken gravy and chicken dum Biryani along with sulemani tea. The taste was perfect and I really couldnt stop eating. Super experience.

Worthy for the prices. Tried out mutton kizhi biryani and ayakura Biryani both were good providing enough peices ang good quality foods .The only negative was the lack of family rooms the sitting are arranged on a hall like room. Except that all were good loved it ☺️

A Good place to have vast variety of food. You can find from Chinese, arabic style dishes to Kannur and thekkepuram style dishes here. We tried alfahm, prawns pulimoonji , neypathal and thai salad. It was tasty and met our expectations. The price was moderately high and the place is a but crowded. Yet to try more from from their menu.

Thakkaaram Kozhikode on the Beach Road was a disappointment. First off, there were innumerable flies around. The first thing we noticed as we sat down was that the water bottles were completely covered with flies (5-6 per bottle). They said it would get fixed in a day or two, Im hoping thats true because as soon as the glasses and plates were set down there were flies on them. The food - appam and pothirachi cheenachattiyil which we were looking forward to from the reviews was only average (good but not enough for a revisit). However, the hamour fish tava fry was out of this world! Best fish I had in a while. A peculiar thing though, the interior does not look like the other branches at all. We even wondered for a moment if we were in the right place.

This place is great to dine out with family and friends. Excellent ambience and Tasty food 💯

The staffs were very friendly and informed about our special dietary needs. The food at the Thakkaaram was always delicious!My son had a wonderful time and liked that he could order special food and the chef would make it so he could eat it. If you wouldn’t mind telling me how you prepared the fish, I would like to try making some for him at home, since he enjoyed it so much. We all enjoyed their desserts as well. Especially Bathakka Pottitherichathu was so yummie and was a spl dessert to try.Thank you also for having the special caramal pudding for my mother. I tried the blueberry strawberry crisp which was so delicious! It was so nice to know we didn’t have to worry as much about our food while on vacation, and that we were able to order it and not have to bring a lot of food with us.Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything! We had a great vacation, and you and your staff helped to make it that way! We will be back next year!
