Good food, good toddy and clean space

Used to be an awesome place. Disappointed with my last experience there. Mediocre food and highly expensive. But during my visit 2 years back it wad really good and their signature injakkozhi was awesome

Awesome place for non vegetarians who would love to go on a drive through a truly scenic route to enjoy great food. I absolutely loved the food as well as the drive and would definitely go again given the chance. Good place to go with family or with girls in the group as well since they provide a private air conditioned space for each group.

Been here before when it was in the prime, now its nothing like that. Its really over expensive and no dish had any taste, also toddy was really more of water.

It’s an OK place to have food. The food does not taste like an original toddy shop food. If you planning to try authentic toddy shop food this may not be the right place.Place is nice and clean and different huts and the speed of delivery is also good. Lot of parking space.

If you are here for the food, it will be great if you are with a company of 4 or more. Why?There are a lot of different varieties of food, and if you come with a partner or alone, you cant order much without wasting.We were around 8 people and ordered different kinds of foods. It was really good. Except the karemeen pollichath, which wasnt that good, also expensive compared to all other dish.

Really nice and cool place in the middle of hilly-forest area for dining and toddy drinks. Almost all the non-veg food items, including pork, meet, duck, rabbit, chicken, variety of fish items etc etc.. will get here. We can have seats in individual huts, AC rooms, non-AC rooms, also in common dining area. All the staffs are very good in behavior and well mannered. Vanaraani Model Toddy Parlor is having a good parking area inside the compound itself. Really good place for both the family and friends.

Visited this toddy shop on March 2108. Drive all the way from trivandrum. The location is very interesting but bit hard to reach. We had Toddy, njandu 🦀 roast, pork 🐖 fry, idi irachi 🐄, kaari meen 🦈 fry and marichini (kappa). Awesome taste. The area was clean n neat. Crab was overpriced, they charged 400/- for a plate... The pork was one of the best I had in recent times.Worth taste and drive.

We went there for having lunch only. Ordered1. Kappa2. Pork Fry3. Beef Fry4. Fish Curry5. Varal Fish Fry6. Karry Fish Fry7. Duck curryKappa was ok. Pork fry was very good. Beef fry was average. Except these all others were terrible.Fish used for both fry were very old so as duck. Never order both these if u visit there.Only thing worth that long ride was pork fry.

Superb toddy, especially enjikallu. ഫുഡ് was not that great when compared with garudagiri toddy shop. Place has limited parking space. But the cabins are spacious and air conditioned.

They place was alright..but it was not up to the hype that the media created. Food was not at its best. I guess covid changed a lot of things. Hygiene is great...no issues from that point of view.

Very worst toddy shop, less quantity & poor quality

The worst food served .Nadan chicken ordered was waste , Pork fry served was all waste there was no meat at all . Kappa was like 4 days old . Days old Kallappam was heated and served , Porota was full of oil like it was some variety of pappad and the arrogance of the waiter was like as if he was serving some free food . I am sharing pics of food ordered in first round so that they can’t deny anything and nothing on this was good and all the fun spoiled for the rest of the day . There is no option to give zero rating or else that would be the most appropriate.Forgot to mention I have been to this same place before don’t remember exactly but I think December 2015 . Then the food was worth the travel from thiruvalla . We were around 9 people and we really enjoyed the dishes there except karimeen.

Visited on 19th Dec. Dont go with earlier expectations. After lockdown reopen , I think the chef changed. Most of the dishes are not good. Also only half of the items are available now. Got really disappointed.

If its crowded you wont be able to get a good service from this place. But vanarani toddy shop have varieties of toddy like, ginger toddy, grape toddy, coconut and palm toddy. And of course the place is well known for its dishes. But i have bitter experiences too. Cant expect the quality in food and service all the time you visit there. Better to make a call and reach there...

Quite an interesting concept. Supervised by the excise department, so food quality is decent. Fairly neatly maintained, and the inner rooms are air conditioned. We sat on the roof top which turned out to be a great idea as it was airy, with a cool breeze, and not noisy at all. The toddy was the freshest Id had in years. The rest of the food (duck roast, chicken curry, rabbit, etc) was typical toddy shop fare, spicy, bony and cut into tiny pieces, and I thought it was average at best.

Not bad considering the lack of good restaurants in the stretch. A perfect place if you are looking for some good seafood with a full of toddy to go with it. The food is good and the toddy fresh. You can choose between the ginger and grape flavoured ones. The ginger tastes better though.The dry beef dish and crab roast are worth trying. The staff are courteous and help you in choosing the right dishes and do not try over selling.You could have trouble locating this place unless you keep an eye on maps and the car park here is a bit congested owning to the number of vehicles parked here. One has to wait for sometime to find a spot or to get the car out.Overall its worth the visit and be prepared to spend anything between an hour to two at this place.

Very costly food items

Absolutely not worth the hype; food was way below average. For eg, beef roast had capsicum in it; seemed they were confused between Chinese and traditional toddy shop preparation. Ambience is just slightly better than an average roadside eatery, the air conditioner kept switching off adding to the agony. Almost every dish we ordered seemed to have similar taste; mind you, we did try several dishes. In short, dont waste you time, its just not worth the effort; did I say it isnt exactly a cheap eat either?

A good neat place with enough ambience for a Toddy parlour. But for a Toddy parlour the food is not upto the mark. We went as a group . There are A/C rooms also. The service was good. There is chilled toddy available.
