Sakthi Hotel kottayamIt is a nice place to stay for a few days. With affordable prices and good services they are among the best hotels in kottayam. Parking area is too less and staffs are not their as required is two big reasons but excluding that it is a good hotel.

I had visited this Hotel for arranging accommodations for my Wedding which happened on November 28, 2019. I had in mind to put a word up here for the hotel, but due to various activities I didnt get time to have it reviewed here. Here is what this Hotel can offer you and there are some great exclusive benefits which is tendered by this great Hotel which is a great Boon for all the Kottayam folks.1. This was the only Hotel which accepted a Flexible Check-In Time. We visited around 8 Hotels nearby and none of them accepted our Check-In time and we were either asked to pay extra to block the room ahead or preferably book the rooms a day before if it is before their Check-In time.2. They were so adjusting to the fact that even the members accommodating each rooms were given according to our choice than the strict 2/3 Members only per room rule.3. They took care of our VIP guest accommodation and gave us offers for bulk booking which was way better than the other 8 famous Hotels which we visited.4. The Hotel Staff & specially the Manager Mr. Jose Antony was in touch with us and heeded to any quick changes which was given even at the last moment.A big thanks to the Sakthi Hotel Team for making our Wedding Accommodation a comfortable & a memorable experience with ease!!

Place has basic facilities quite intact. Cant say it a fancy one but still cozy and comfortable. Cleanliness is also good. Good lighted rooms. Good space too.

Located in the heart of Kottayam, Hotel Sakthi is ideal if you are on a quick business visit. However, it is extremely noisy (in the road-facing rooms) due to the hotels proximity to a very busy junction. There is a constant stream of traffic through the day, from early morning to late in the night. However, the rooms were quite clean and comfortable with a fairly spacious restroom, though the absence of a shower curtain makes it rather messy! During our stay in Dec 2019, the restaurant on the ground floor was not functioning or so we were told. So, room service was the only alternative, and it remains a mystery as to the source of the food that was delivered within minutes of ordering!! Quite surprisingly, there was no menu card made available for an a la carte order. The dishes that we ordered were very oily, especially the pepper fry chicken which was delivered with massive amounts of masala gravy and just a couple of pieces of meat. I wouldnt recommend, and best stick to simple vegetarian fare, like dal rice or dal-paratha. Also, remember to inform the reception to clean up the room in the morning or else, it will be left unattended!! The staff was very friendly and efficient, but it was a hassle dealing with room service boys since we couldnt speak in Malayalam. The boys understood our predicament and did their best to accommodate us with a smile. In a way, it was fun!

How do you get beef biryani in this restaurant? Take some beef roast/fry (ulathu) and stuff it in biryani rice a with those coconut bits (usually found in beef ulathu). First time in my life, Ive seen coconut pieces in biryani. Concept of biryani is different in this restaurant. There is one type of biryani you can find in whole Kottayam and thats chicken biryani. The taste is pretty much identical and even the style of serving. Ine recipe, different cooks and prices. This restaurants Diner is good, service is good, but the food is average for the price.

The food is very good at the restaurant.. the room are pathetic.. I have stayed twice here.. no wifi as they promise.. some windows Are broken.. so mosquitos can fly in.. I took their best room.. but one plug point doesnt work and the TV turns off and on regularly..The maintenance staff dont know how to repair these gadgets..The front office staff are not bothered and give lame excuses.. like internet bill not paid due to which internet is not working..

Years of tradition ...khana resturant of sakthi hotel is known for its chilly beef and Kerala parotta. The food is generally good , you can always expect the minimum gurantee from them. To top it up , the service at the restaurant is also great .
