Netaji Bhavan metro station is for metro passengers visiting the Bhawanipore/Chakraberia/Jadu Babu Bazar area.This station has lesser footfall than the other metro stations of South Kolkata, as there is no major intersection here on SP Mukherjee/Ashutosh Mukherjee Road.To visit Netaji Bhavan(located on Elgin Road), one will have to take a 10-15 minute walk from this station.

Station is quite empty and peaceful most of the times. Well managed ticketing system. Exits and well planned and can get to the place where you want to without any hesitation. However the staff at the entry gates have this bad attitude which is not looked at.

Great metro station, it was clean, well maintained, organised and the trains are well on time and furthermore no problems with the counter and checking system. There are more than one gate to enter the station and to exit from the station to your convenience. The whole system runs very smoothly.

Bhowanipore is the place which actually situated in South Kolkata. Its generally known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Boses birthplace actually there are the ancestral house of Netaji at Elgin Road. This place is also known as the birthplace of great Bengali matinee idol Uttamkumar.Another, pioneer actor of Tollywood Ranjit Mullick also lives here. There are a very renowned market Jagubabur Bazaris also situated here. Ive some property of my forefathers at that place.

Netaji Museum is the ancestral house of Subash Chandra Bose .This museum is situated in Elgin road near Rabindra Sadan. When I heard about this museum I was very excited to go there & seen this museum, the legendry of Subash Chandra Bose. Netaji Bhawan has a museum archives and library.The major attraction of Netaji Bhawan are the work related to the freedom struggle as well as his own footprints , which are exhibited at this museum.This museum is open from 11Am to 4.30Pm.The entry fee of INR 10/ per adult and INR 5/ per children under 12 years.The ticket counter close at 4.15Pm for the day. Netaji Bhawan is easily accessible from all parts of Kolkata by means of local transport. It is a memorial recidence of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.Also here situated metro station is called netaji bhawan & its located at Jodu Babur Bajar,bhabanipur. You can travel various places from there.

Single side ticketing system(Unlike Rabindra Sadan),easier for new comers to identify all exit gates from single mezzanine floor .Outside the station lots of shops for various items,fish , groceries,vegetable bazaar available.

The Bureau is run by Sugata Bose and his mother.Bose escaped from house arrest at Netaji Bhawan in 1941 and fled to Berlin. After that, he traveled to Japan-occupied Southeast Asiaby submarine (German U-boat U-180 and Japanese submarine I-29), organized Indian National Army, and fought against British Rajwith the Imperial Japanese Army.

This is the place where I grew up. The sweets of Girish Chandra Dey is just wonderful....

My native place.... nice place hang around with friends.... specially Tripti & Green Palace are the twi most renowned Bar cum Rstrnt.. Jadu Babur Bazaar is most nice market... cheap and best... Desh Bandhu Market is also cheap for clothings and all. Hospital, Nursing Home, Metro, Bus, Rikshaw, Multiplex, Bar, Restaurants, Shopping Mall every thing is here at Netaji Bhawan. Good place.

Netaji Bhavan Metro station.The security checking system is very good ......The Kolkata Mero Station is the 1st underground railway to be built in India with the 1st operation commencing in October 1984 and the full stretch that was initially planned being operational by February 1995.Currently, there is only one line , Noapara to New Garia ( Kavi Subhas).
