Ordered a double mutton roll (take away) on 21st September, 2020 (8:23pm approximately) at Shiraz Golden Restaurant, Ajay Nagar. This was THE WORST MUTTON ROLL WE EVER HAD. Absolutely disgusting.The roll was NOT freshly made. It was just about warm. The mutton had no taste (could be stale) and there were no pieces of mutton inside the roll. It was just something mashed up inside.I will report to the relevant authorities of the government and take it up with the consumer forum.

Shiraz is popular for its rolls and biryani so yeah it did justice to that.We ordered mutton biryani, it had a big sized potato without which kolkata biryani is incomplete and well cooked mutton piece.But for starters, we ordered thai chicken and it was not so good in taste. We have asked for dry starter but we were disappointed.So I would suggest you can try biryani and rolls.

I will say its one of the worst restaurant both in terms of service and food. I had gone for dinner on 29th August.When I had ordered my food I had to wait more 45 minutes to get my food on the table. When I asked them the reason for such late service they informed me that they have many online orders which they need to fulfill at first.Now regarding the food I had ordered. I had ordered for a mutton dish and keema and garlic naan. The mutton dish was completely saltless with just oil in the name of greavy. The naan was average in terms of taste but was still too oily.

I havent thought that the quality of shiraj will deteriorated to such a low level. I have been there with my family to revive the old memories but i was proved wrong. Chicken biryani was average whereas chicken chaap was absolute rubbish. Only oil was there no masala n chicken piece was nothing to say. Paneer butter masala was sweeter than sugar. Paying such a huge amount for this type of food is not at all acceptable. Moreover no glass was provided for drinking water n they are only providing bottled water in the name of covid to earn extra money... it wold be better if we had opted for hazi ali just beside of siraj. Food is average. But nobody is maintaining any protocols of Covid 19. Nobody (specially all the chefs) is wearing masks. Even the receptionist in the takeaway counter is not wearing mask. I personally ask him to wear mask. Please DO NOT VISIT this restaurant.

Average restaurant, shirazs biriyani and chicken chaap quality is reducing day by day. Quality of Chinese food is very bad, simple dish like fried rice and chiken was horrible. I think they have to take more care about their food quality.

I will not suggest anyone to have dine in this restaurant. Quality of Biriyani, I am sure footpath biryani is way better from Sheeraj. Restaurant environment is dirty, floor, table, seats are dirty. I asked one of service guy to clean the table and seats before I get the table. But he was so careless and casual, he didnt clean properly. Dish washing system is very dirty. It should not be in dining area. Overall its too much overrated food asper quality.

At the last night I was gone at this beautiful place with myh family. We had enjoy a lot.. And the most amazing things was the Bera Murg kabab.. We got a good service and testy foods ever. At last I want to thanks full to Mr.Amit Kumar for suggesting the beautiful place😊

Food quality not up to the mark

Good place to have moghlai dishes. Various types of delicious kebabs are available. I always prefer some kebabs, murgh or chicken moghlai dishes with butter Naan.Absolutely value for money.

Horrible taste in food, chefs take twice the time to cook the food also the behaviour of staff is worser than foot stalls.

I ordered reshmi kabab , biriyani and one side dish. Resmi kabab was very good and biriyani was a lot better than Aminia esplanade. It was not very much spicy yet the taste was very good. The firni was also good. If you sit beside the window it has a great view. Service is also good. I suggest you specially the firni and reshmi kabab.

Their quality has deteriorated over time. Kebabs were too salty. And, I asked them to give a Thumbs Up, they packed Coke instead.

Good service but the delivery for the order was a little bit late , they were maintaining proper hygiene and wore a mask with proper application sanitizer.Good for late diners.

Absolutely rubbish food with extortionate price price. The kebabs we received were 5 and half piece for each plate. And the size for all the kebabs were exceptionally small. I will never ever recommend to anyone. Shiraz in Mullick Bazar was one of my favourite places. But if this is the standard of Shiraz now then its very unfortunate. I dont mind paying but would need value for money.

Most worst biriyani I ever got in Kolkata

The food is decent. I had ordered both asian and biriyani. The Asian food was good.The biriyani is decent, but quite dry. Meat content is decent. I wanted to try the chicken chaap, and to my surprise they serve country chicken, which has more bone than meat. Quite deep fried, chewy in texture and hard to eat. Its dipped in a plateful of some kind of oil/fat/dalda that solidifies once it cools. Kinda scary.Not the best place in the locality, I must say.

Biryani is not so good as thought

I have been to the other shiraz outlet before. This one is remarkably bad. Food served was not good at all. Quality is below the mark. Same in case of service. Didnt expect it.

Ordered Mutton Biriyani.. the biriyani rice was so lite and tasty. So is the potato. But the mutton was not that soft and also the piece was small compared to Arsalan.

The worst food I ever had from any big restaurant in Kolkata. The mutton item sucks...Very bad experience, I went there with the bad food to replace & they checked and found it was not good. Bt there after 3 days i went there for replace or refund.But no outcome. Now no one is bothering the issue.The food was so bad and at list 5 days old food.

Review for online order. The delivery is pathetic. Took more than 2 hours for delivery. Coming to the food, its really good to say the least! But I dont know what their problem was, on this particular day, i had ordered a two-piece mutton biriyani, but they gave one chicken piece and another mutton piece. I dont know how its possible to make such a mistake. The only face-saver is that the taste of Shiraz was intact.I guess if you visit the restaurant, its better. They have problems in catering to delivery.

Their biryani and firni are superb. Ambiance of 1st floor AC sitting area is impressive. Wish to visit again and highly recommended.
