*Follow kolkata.foodie.dibyajit at Instagram and Zomato for more drooling pics and unbiased reviews*One of the hidden gems near Talkie House which remains open only during the evening. This place is famous for their brilliant Dhakai Porota with Cholar Dal. Other items that are a must try is the Dalpuri (dont miss the white aloo sabzi that they serve with this!), The various kind of chops and ofcourse, the dhokar dalna. There are items like Papri Chaat and Vada Chaat too but those are somehow not the best selling ones. However, you should keep in mind that this place is completely vegetarian and all the items are sold off by 7.30 - 7.45 pm.©kolkata.foodie.dibyajit
Very old shop.Still now maintaining their authentic taste. All items are very tasty. I really like their mild spiciness.Very pocket friendly.Try their- Paneer cutlet, dhakai parota, dhokar dalna. Or any other item all are very tasty.
Extremely good quality of snacks. This shop is famous for Dhakai parota. But I also love their kachori, samosa, Paneer chop and mouthwatering Malpoa.
All good but great for evening snacks.
This is my childhood neighborhood shop, Talkie Show House.Leave it in the basket for at least 2/3 hours, shake off the oil, then serve the dhakai paratas. With it is the heavenly hot gram dal. It is eaten in powder Although the scene is not pleasant (Parota Makhar), it is quite delicious.I remember once asking the uncle of the shop for a hot dhakai parota and he said Dad doesnt have to eat everything hot in life. I can now feel the meaning of the words that went through my head as a child. 😊Among other foods, you can try the following.1) Real dalpuri (with white potato breath of an unknown recipe - just get it here),2) Vegetable chop (a.k.a. fight chop - seems to be red) r3) Dhokar light soup (it has a strange spice mixed with joan powder)You can eat standing up in Pub style or you can bring it home The shop only opens in the afternoon and by 6 / 7.30 everything is gone.
