A suburb market near Panihati Agarpara area on B T Rd. Very recently the market was renovated. Could have been better... however it caters well near by people. Though price wise items are reasonable. But more consumer friendly measures may be taken.

A very old bazar. In olden days (some 60-70 years back), it used to be a haat twice a week. But what I have seen for last 30 years or so, it is a market that runs daily except on Monday evening. Main activity in vegetable and fish market in morning only (starts as early as 5:30 in summer till 11:30 am). Groceries are available in both half of the day. Also many vegetable and chicken shops operates in both half. But more option for vegatable and fish is available in morning. The variety is not great compared to Sodepur, or Khardah market; Also choice of fruit are really limited. But the price is super reasonable. This actually is the lifeline of lower middle class in Agarpara.The biggest issue is classiness. inside the market it is acceptable. Also there is a large pond at the back, once almost dead, now clean and clear. But the approach roads are in real bad shape. Entrance from B T road is narrow and dirty. The road between the bazar and Basonti Mill is a living hell. Panihati municipality have done nothing in last 30 years to solve the issue.
