Shri Aurobindo Pathamandir was established on 15th August, 1941 at the south-eastern part of the famous Albert Hall with the consent and Blessings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother when both of them were in their bodies. The last 75 years of its dedicated service to humanity has as its basis Sri Aurobindo’s & his spiritual collaborator The Mother’s epoch making ideals of emancipation and regeneration of humanity. The mission for which Pathamandir was founded consists of incessant culture and effective dissemination of the great spiritual ideals of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother envisaging establishment of a divine life upon earth. Through study classes, special lectures etc Sri Aurobindos and the Mothers Philosophy and Yogic vision are expounded by eminent authorities and an ideal atmosphere is offered to the seekers for individual and collective meditation. Sri Aurobindo Pathamandir has a prolific Publication Department which has published a large number of books and runs both Bengali and English periodical magazines and journals.

Really it is so help full for the spiritual destination . But there is no full booklist....of aurobindas bengali books lists....for them who dont know English without Bengali language....

Sri aurobindo patjmandir in college Street besides Indian coffee house . This is Holi place and ashryam of rishi aurobindo . In this house one library is there on Shree MAA and Sri Sri rishi aurobindo . Life devine is a great book on the life of rishi aurobindo . There have many spiritual books in the store . Pilgrims comes and join in meditation which is very very important in this ashryam .

Amidst the busy book hub of college st, Calcutta this place keeps a miraculous peace and silence. A quite old center, here installed Sri Aurobindos Relics recently. So devotees can go and pray although the Relics enclosure is small. Books & spices available. Every Sunday evening Savitri reading in English and Bengali. A nice, cozy place for Sri Aurobindonians. Not far from it, is an old house at 6 college sq. where Sri Aurobindo lived before he left Calcutta for good.
