As a child, I had the privilege to visit this renowned educational institution because back then, my elder sister was studying there. As she stayed in the hostel, I, along with my mother would often frequent this place on the pretext of meeting her during the vising hours. As my mother would sit with my sister, enquiring about her studies and advising her to eat all that was given to her in the hostel and that not otherwise would lead her to fall sick, I would slyly wriggle away from there and loiter around the sprawling campus. It was on one such occasion that I was fancied upon by one mataji who took me to her cabin . Initially , she asked me some very few basic questions. However, with the gradual passage of time, she started telling me little stories on the life of Sarada Ma. The stories were so enchanting and interesting that I developed a special feeling towards Saradama. It really made me feel that ma was not just Sarada ma but was un universal mother whose love towards mankind was selfless. This feeling of selfless giving was instilled in me by Mataji, who was also a faculty of that Institute at that time.That incident did leave an impressionable effect on my tender mind and whatever I am today is totally a by- product of the lesson that I had learnt that day.
