Marble structure built by the British which is dedicated to Queen Victoria. Good tourist destination and a museum now. Surrounded by large gardens and ponds on all the sides. Amazing place!

Historical place ... Great views and all... There are numerous reviews already on this heritage site... BUT very difficult if you are or bringing someone on a wheelchair. I would give 0 out of 10 on accessibility. The authorities must do something to improve accessibility of the showcase site.

Greeneries soothe the eyes...and the sound of the calm lake provides the perfect ambience to rest

Its a very good place to visit. Maintenance of museum is not good. Maximum idols became very dirty. WB govt should take care of it. There is shop for food that is very bad. Maximum areas blocked for tourist. No arrangement for handicap peoples.

It is a memorial-cum-museum dedicated to queen Victoria. It is a beautiful marble building with a great garden. The museum has old paintings and books (some of them are hand written). The museum also has other items at display like old ammunitions. The museum has moderate number of items and is not a very big collection. It only takes about 20 mins to see the museum.The garden has a lake and a pond. The view is beautiful. One would see couples having their moments in the garden area.A must see place while at Kolkata.

The entry fee to the garden is 10/- andInside the memorial hall there is a museum and entry fee to that is 10/-. So the total fare per individual for entry and museum charges 20/- and for foreigners it is 200 INR.No photography charges but photography inside the museum is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.An individual can take pictures from outside.Pet is not allowed inside the park. There are sitting provisions inside the park and the place is children friendly.

If you plan to visit Kolkata this place should be in your must watch list. Built in 1906, this place was dedicated to Queen Victoria, but now is a museum. The white palace is elegant and a treat to the eyes. Gardens and the pebbled stones are well maintained. Though the water enclosures are mostly dirty.

Marvelous architecture.....But as of a museum not so much of collection....Only good old British paintings.... Surrounding gardens are well maintained....Camera z allowed dats the best part of it....N yeah parking problems needs to be solved.. Should be given proper colourful light arrangements in the night.

Separate entrance fees for roaming in d ground and inside the building for both national and international tourists. Located in between Park street and Esplaned Metro station. Better to take own food rather than buying from street vendors.

You can get the whole history of the British rule in India from this museum and it is a very neat and clean place to get the view of the historical India. There are collections of pictures that describe the various time and ruling time of British in India. Lord Clive, Queen Alexandra, Queen Victoria etc. statues can be found over there. More over, various famous poets and novelists pictures of the ancient bengal can be seen over there. Weapon of the wars of that time are kept safe there. Many oil paints painted by famous artist and kings can be found in the museum.
