We ordered dry chilli chicken, dry chill fish, fried chicken and chicken ala kiev.Every dish was tasty and specially chicken ala kiev was unquie, filled with butter served with mashed potato and veges. Enjoyed the dishes and the time there. The place was nice to spend time with friends over some beers and tasty starters. The staffs were friendly. The best things was one can opening talk and laugh in the place. Enjoyed the evening a lot.

Needs a little more upgradation in quality of cutlery and cleanliness of the same. Good food and service along with proper physical distancing. Cleanliness seems to be an issue right now.

A well maintained heritage pub to hang out with friends and family. Fast service. Good taste. Very less choice in beers though and some decent collection of hard drinks with decent offers too. Pork sausages could have been better. Steak was good.

Ambience is so good also and one more thing in this time due to lockdown and covid all menus are not available so you can choose from the selected, good place for family and friends must try dishes are steak, fish fingers.. if u r thinking to visit on weekends then must visit early between lunch time it will be full.

Who doesnt know Olypub! Get their steak, mixed grill and, as per my friend, chicken a la kiev (personally not my favourite, but I can see why people would like it).Unlimited chakna is forgotten after food arrives. 😆

15 years later and the ambience is still the same, it feels like home even today. The food quality has not changed a bit and I can spend hours in here. Chicken Ala Kieve is a must try in here during winters, the butter just oozes out of the cutlet when you break it

Good taste.. the only nuisance is the gateman asking for tip for no reason everytime..also the waiters begging for tip .. these asking for tips by multiple people is a real headache with this restaurant. If you refuse to pay tip, more often than not they would chase you

Its one of the oldest bar in kolkata. One of the most renowned bar in the Parkstreet area. Its always a trend to go there and enjoy your drink. ITS located in Parkstreet. As always its almost full all the time. It have 2 floors and both are centrally air-conditioning. The best thing is that now they have started taking card payments. Its famous for its beef steak. Which is quite famous and good. Rather tasty. I had chicken ala keiv which was not at all good. The butter was not totally melted. The worst-case over here is that the service if you want to enjoy your drink you cant as they will serve you the bill without asking for it. And indirectly will say you please leave.... Didnt expected it from this iconic bar. The food stranded has just fallen bellow.. The price is now quite a high its better to choose other bar than this you can literally enjoy and have the beers. The price is same as famous restaurant in Parkstreet.

Liquor is served at cheaper price than any other Park Street restaurants. Food is good but only so me recommended dishes like liver, steak,roast chicken,sausage. Cant say it with surety but I think liquor quality is compromised here. But great place for college goers.

The place runs on sheer nostalgia but beware of the staff. They will keep on nagging and outrageously demanding for tips while you are about to leave even though you are paying service tax on food and beverage.

Place has lost its aura in this pandemic, standard crowd has been mostly replaced by chapris unable to find a hotel!

Head there between 11:30-12 pm to avoid the lunch time rush. Their chilly fish, made with Bhetki, and butter naan is a perfect meal with a chilled one.

There is nothing great about this place. If you love beer and beef steak, there are other places in this area which makes it even better. For Ala Kiev too.The waiters are working here for long and they have an expectation that each and every customer will oay them a tip of more than 100 bucks. If you dont give, you will not get a good farewell. The service that they provide is nothing great. The gatekeepers also expect and they will not share from the waiters.Coming to the food, as I already said, its nothing great. I really can not take any specific name of a dish which is like outstanding at this place. The beef steak is basically buffalo steak and the quality doesnt remain constant. Olypub is not even cheap. If you are a drinker and you take 2 or 3 dishes of food, it will anyway cost you 1600 to 1800 bucks plus the tips.It is still a place that you should visit atleast for once. Nostalgia is there, right! And this place is good for old people who have been going there since long. Not for young crowds.

Have been a favourite joint for hanging out with friends. However, post pandemic the prices have gone up and also quality and quantity of some food products have gone downhill.

Food quality have worsen. If you ask for beer most of the time thek keep only kingfisher. And the attitude of the staffs have worsen. They keep on insisting for more tips or should I say begging.

This old school boozer seems fallen out of time. It looks like a cheap cafeteria yet still manages to be charming with its grumpy waiters and big variety of booze. They have Bira 91 and Simba beers which I didnt find in any of the other bars I visited in town. Much better than Kingfisher or Heineken. Plus, they serve great grub, everyone orders the beef steak which is legendary, tasty and at 250 Rs an absolute steal, but theres also good chicken liver and butter naan. Drink prices are OK for the location, but theres no happy hour, and most cheaper pours are out of stock

This place needs no introduction, good, friendly and hard working staff, good food, they close by 9pm, overall a good experience, visit with drinking buddies and friends only. When leaving, door man will ask for tips or money.

Honestly Ive heard a lot about this place, but my visit was quite disappointing. We went there on 25th December. The moment we found our seat the electricity went out. Nice! They dont have any substitute for that except opening the front doors and windows, to let the minimal light come in. We sat there just like that for 10 minutes untill the power came back. Let me list out the reasons why am I never visiting this place:1. Food is not good enough, I dont know why people keep calling it the best place for steaks. The beef steak wasnt good at all.2. Most importantly they ask for tip both inside and outside. our bill amount was 683 and we paid 800(tips within). They still havent said a word about paying the security guard outside. When we were coming out the security guard asked for money too, we had to pay him again there. Like what is this system? Eta tumi age bolba na? We couldve paid alltogether inside or split that? Idk. Keep this in mind when you go there.3.The tables were kept too close, no social distancing was maintained between sitting arrangements. Somebody came to talk to someone sitting just beside me on another table and kept leaning on the chair I sat, thats the space given there.4. And nothing is budget friendly, nothing is pocket pinch here. The prices are moderate, or Id say moderately high, definitely not the cheapest place for drinks Id say.Overall, had a very bad experience with this iconic place.

It has an old charm, the pub itself is a vintage one!The price of liquors has recently increased slightly.In the food section they serve a whole lot of delicious items, among them Beef/Chicken Steak is a must try!

A well known place However service & environment are not upto the mark. Ambience was bad. You wont expect tubelight inside a pub/bar! Drinks were a bit costlier compared to the ambience. Overall service was ok. But there was no decoration, just nothing to make you feel good. It would make you feel like sitting in a local roadside rice hotel.

If you are looking for alcohol and beverages in a very cheap price then you can visit here. But most of the drinks are unavailable few times in the menu. Ive tried their signature dish Chicken Alakiev which was really good and crispy and Chicken Boti Kebab.

The best place where you can have not only drinks, the food also. The taste of the food items are superb, and everytime they will serve the liquors in front of you. No need to tensed as is it 30 ml or 60 ml. 😜They are so polite and gentle. And the innerside of the bar is so neat and clean.

This place is always packed. Its noisy specially after office hours. Because everybody comes to unwind after a stressful day at work. But then the real reason for us to go was the food. It first opened its doors in 1947 as Olympia Bar and Restaurant which was rechristened as OlyPub later.My earliest memory of Oly was going there during college days to try the forbidden drinks . Chicken- ala- Kiev was a revelation . My first beef steak , my first badly drunk day , yes Oly witnessed it all. My with streaks of white hair , I revisited the iconic place to celebrate a friends birthday. And it was yesterday once more , all over again . The cheese puffs , the succulent fish fingers , the lips smacking liver , the kebabs we gorged on everything. We were like kids with people complaining about how noisy we were but who cared. We were back to those days when breaking rule was cool. After yes, after years I got drunk !!

Olypub! One of the nostalgic pub for probably all engineering and medical students. It is one of the cheapest pub of kolkata. Cleaning of this pub is really good. You do not have to behave like upper class people. It is simply a good pub.
