A paradise for the nature lovers in the true sense of the term. If someone wants to feel the tranquillity of nature then it would be his or her heaven. One would find and feel each and every aspect of nature in this area. There are National Parks and multiple wild life sanctuaries in this portion of the northern part of West Bengal. One would easily feel the serene beauty of nature here. Rivers and small rivulets are added attraction to the place. One would also enjoy thoroughly while staring at the lush green carpets of the tea gardens. If anyone wants to feel the vibrant colours of nature he or she should visit the place. The sounds of silence and its multiple forms are also look vibrant in the vast area. In Dooars now a days there are many hotels and resorts to suit various size of pockets. The communication of Dooars is also good from different parts of the state. If you are a wild life enthusiast then you wouldnt miss a single opportunity to visit the place. In the Dooars I have gathered some mesmerizing moments and scintillating memories for my whole life.

Journey through the rolling hill slopes, widespread lush green tea gardens separated by meandering silvery mountain streams, high Sal forests, small quiet ethnic villages, vast meadows with a blue outline of the great Himalayan ranges in the horizon, endless sky..... you are in Dooars!Laying in the Himalayan foothills, Dooars has great natural beauty. The wildlife-rich tropical forests, innumerable hill streams cutting across the green carpet of tea gardens and undulating plains, low hills rising up from the rivers. A drive through the Dooars plains, the gateway of Bhutan and the entire North East of India, can be the experience of a lifetime.

Dooars, the word came from a Bengali word “Duar” meaning “Doors“. Dooars is the gateway to Widlife Zone of West Bengal and also the gateway to hills of India and Bhutan.Dooars is divided into Eastern Dooars and Western Dooars. Western Dooars is comprised of Gorumara National Park and Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary. And Eastern Dooars is comprised of Jaldapara National Park, Chilapata Forest & Buxa Tiger Reserve. Natural big rivers like Teesta / Torsa flows down keeping the place very picturesque. If u want to see greenery as far as your eyes can reach- go to DooarsIf u want to see how serene and peaceful Mother Nature can be - go to DooarsIf u want few pebbles beneath your feet in crystal clear water - go to DooarsIf u want to see how incredible beauty our country has- go to Dooars. This being my third trip to Dooars, being a Wildlife Photographer and we decided to go to Dooars in Oct.We took flights to Bagdogra from Kolkata and booked a Scorpio for 5 days. We visited Baradabri Malangi Lodge which is near the Jaldapara Forest (You would have to book the lodge in advance through WBFDC site or visiting their office near Hind Multiplex in Wellington More Kolkata.)Since It was festive weekend and we knew its gonna be rush and to avoid missing the elephant safari, we chose Baradabri as it is lesser explored and the elephant safari starts from your lodges gate and managed by the lodge manager himself. You could keep 2 days at this lodge and move to Jaldapara for a jeep safari as well. We stayed 2 nights here and then moved to Murti River (Banani WBFDC Murti resort) which lies at the Gorumara Belt and I must say that this was an out of the world experience for us. The resort is at the bank of river murti and the river flows through the side gate of the resort.I heard people saying that if you visit this place in November then you could actually see wild elephants at the resorts gate. We took an early morning jeep safari to Chapramari forest and saw herd of elephants, Bisons, Peacocks and Deers. In the evening we did bonfire and we had good time at the midst of the river.Readers, at times visit such lesser unexplored place makes you refreshingly different.Visit once and check your change. You will gain good health and mind.

The first Dowers tripI was very lucky to get a booking at Halong on the first try. So even at this pandemic time I came out with a risk. In fact, I was really tired after 9 months of continuous hospital duty. In search of a little fresh air so we moved to everyones favorite North Bengal. I have been to Darjeeling 3 times before but this is the first time. I was there for four days. Two days at Kalipur Eco Resort, one day at Halong and one day at Jayanti Riverview Homestay. What else can I say about Halong. Many times more beautiful than I thought from this group. At night about a dozen elephants, fifteen or sixteen bison, two pairs of rhinos and some deer were roaming in Saltpit. I couldnt take good pictures with this inexperienced hand due to low light - thats a pity.I gave some pictures. Hope you like it.Everyone will be fine, stay healthy.BDR- The picture of the cheetah tiger is taken from South Khairbari.Day 1 -Kalipur Eco Village, cost 3200 including food (breakfast, lunch & dinner)Jeep safari - Champramari Forest, cost 2000 for 2We didnt do much research so it took extra 1000 to reach champramari. kalipur is very beautiful but about 18 km from Gorumara Main. WBTDCLs resort inside Gorumara was then closed online booking (November first week)Day 2- Kalipur Eco Village (Next to Medla watch tower, walking 5 mins)Sight seeing 7 point (murti, Jhalong, Jaldhaka, Bindu, santalekhola, rocky island) car cost 3000Day 3- Hollong Tourist Lodge, WBTDC cost 2500 excluding foodFood cost around 1500 for 2From kalipur to jaldapada car cost ~ 3200We went to jaldapada as south khayerbari.Hollong e first come first base is given room. Salt pit can be seen from room 3 out of total 5 rooms. The rest can see from the common room.Day 4- Jayanti River View Homestay cost 1600 for 2 including foodBuxa Jungle Safari 1000 for 2Jaldapada to Jayanti car cost ~ 2500Day 5 - Buxa to Siliguri, cost ~ 4500

Maybach Forest DwarvesDooars, the name of the name of the Satkahna lamp or the succession of the succession of the Satkhakaan hearsay before the name is heard. For a long time I have been thinking of going to Dooars though Dooars in our country. Jagga is not very popular. Since then the British have named Dooars. Dooars environment is Nizhum, Niribili. Mountains, rivers, forests, tea gardens will get everything. The jungle of the Dooars is quite deep, secluded, dense. From here, Darjeeling Kalimpong Miric will be able to turn around. This tourist destination in the northeast region of India will be very nice to everyone. Bhutan and very close. Mal Bazaar is the capital of the Dooars.Doors mean the door or the door. It is comprised of West Bengal and Assam at the foot of the eastern Himalayas. Dwarves have completed communication between Bhutan and India. This region is the gateway to Bhutan and northeast India. There is beauty in nature, and there are also beautiful places like Takaramari, Ghazaloba, Baxa Tiger Reserve, Baxa Fort, Gorumara National Park, Chelsea, Jaldapara National Park, Rajabhatkawa, Bindu, Hasimara, Gonarabatan, Jhalang.
