Brahmo Samaj Temple in Behala.This impossibly beautiful shrine was established in 1852.Founders Becharam Chattopadhyay and Srinath Bandyopadhyay.Becharam Chattopadhyay was a disciple of Maharshi Debendranath Tagore. In 179, Becharam Chattopadhyay became the Acharya of this temple. There is Becharam Chatterjee Road in Behala named after this Becharam Chatterjee. The name of this temple is Brahmo Samaj Road.It is said that this step was taken in the nineteenth century to reduce the growth of Christianity in Behala.Behala Brahmosamaj Mandir.It was established in the year 1852 by Becharam Chattopadhyay and Srinath Bandyopadhyay.Chatterjee was a disciple of Maharshi Debendranath Tagore. He became the Acharya of the mandir in 1869.Becharam Chatterjee Road in Behala is named after him. There is also a road named Brahmosamaj Road close to this heavenly abode.This temple was built inorder to stop the increasing number of convertions under the influence of the Christian Community.
