Very serene environment highly traquile atmosphere that is precisely needed for education.IIM calcutta is one of the best institutions for management programs.The MDC is equipped with state of the art facilities and finest food to make the stay comfortable so that one can focus on classes and study.

Facilities and comfort are almost at par with best hostels, however there could be slight glitches here and there sometimes. The lake view is particularly soothing and calming. The feeling of waking up everyday to the birds chirping and sight of a beautiful lake across the balcony is ineffably wonderful.

We came to the IIM Calcutta campus for our 40th reunion. Big improvement in terms of a place to stay on campus. Last I was here was 15yrs back and this MDC did not exist then. Of course this is not like a hotel place but if you have work on campus, it is very nice. Keep in mind that the campus is beautiful and that makes it more pleasant.

Decent place.... good infrastructure.... But the campus is too big... Better to come with personal car.... Else walking will be the only option.

Feel privileged for having had the opportunity to attend a training programme at one of the most reputed Management Institute of the subcontinent. The MDC is set up in the sprawling 170 acre campus of the institute and offers comfortable residential as well as training facilities for the trainees. The ambience of building, its facilities, rooms, food, open spaces and just about everything is awesome.

I came here for a 5 day training program on Emotional Intelligence. Campus is fine like any other national institute amid the dying city of Kolkata. Views enroute airport to IIM Calcutta were so disgusting, I choose to dont make a visit in the hell of city. This institute is here since 1965. In a book given to us as study material all quotes and reference are from US or Europe. It seems no significant research is made about management in India, like none of the IITs have done any significant innovation so far. Arrangements for our stay were good like a hotel without room service. They certainly need to do innovative and India centric research. Otherwise white elephants are lovely.

Good room and all facilities for executives training. Rooms are good size with two single beds. Its provides single occupency room for executives and twin sharing in case company specific booking or students. No TV in the room. There are almost 180 rooms in the MDC on 1st to 3rd floor.. Excellent view from all room. Cafeteria is also very good. Its almost 1 KM from main gate. There is no good shop or market outside the campus. Only OLA Uber is option available to go city side. MDC has tieup with a Travel Agent but charges are almost double and you may also not get bill. Peaceful place with Lakes and birds .

The programme contents are excellent. The faculty is also excellent. The complex is very vast. The hostel facilities, food, library and other facilities are also good. However, it is almost 35 kms from the Kolkata Airport.

Friendly staff. This hotel is part of IIM Calcutta run by Sarovar. You find nice study environment in the room. No TV.

A perfect experience of staying at MDC at IIM Kolkata. They provide all the facilities like a hotel . Buffet Breakfast menu is widely spread with both veg options and eggs. They serve south indian and north indian dishes in breakfast. The dinner buffet also has both veg and non veg option. Room cleaning is provided on daily basis. Overall a great experience.

Management Development Center also known as MDC in IIM Calcutta is a nice cosy accommodation for Management students who are already working professionals. I stayed there for 3 days for attending Executive Program in Global Business Management. MDC provides good rooms which are twin sharing. Nice food which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have descent dining hall. MDC is surrounded by lakes. You feel as if you are in a resort. Mornings are full of birds chirping sound.

The premium insititute offers various short and long term management trainings . Good learning environment .

Beautiful campus smart minds. Be prepared for low coverage for most mobile service providers though compensated with wifi.
