The first and foremost is the food.You wont go at a place with huge ambience but literally not unworthy food.Peter cat no matter how pretentious the place sounds but it is really standing tall on its food. Its worth every penny of yours.My recommendation please try their chello kebab and screwdriverThe ambience just as soothing as it can be.Staffs are super welcoming and helpful.No hygiene issue what so ever.At the time of my visit everyone was following covid protocols.One thing is if you are visiting it on holidays or weekends please keep in mind you will have to wait for minimum½ hour to 2 hour.But the patience wont be in vain.

Ambience was nice as always but compared to my last visit I found lack in their hospitality, which used to be the great earlier. Food has retained its taste as earlier. Vinegar Onions, different sauces were also missing from the table.

Peter Cat is a must visit place for foodies. They serve amazing kebabs. The flavor will burst into your mouth and will give you so many flavours of different taste. Unfortunately I couldnt take pics of all the foods which we had, but it was only because we were so indulged in eating the food. Even over weekdays you get waiting time to enter, so you can imagine the scene of weekends.

We ordered the one and only famous Chelo Kebab. One portion of the kebab was too much salty, we couldnt eat. Also the portion is a lot less than expected. One plate is not enough for one person. Service was good, though we had to wait a lot.

The food totally meets up with the expectations that Peter Cat has set for the Kolkata audience over the years. The classic Chello kebab was worth it and the food was overall great. The quality of meat was superb as well as that of the rest of the dishes. The staff service is something that can be worked upon a little more. All in ll, the place is a must visit.

We tried one mutton huna curry and the taste was simply beyond words. Then the next sizzler fish oho yummy! But the next one chelo kebab in the main course. I didnt like it at all. It was oily. Too much butter based rice kebabs also were dried out same was the sausage cmon it was waste of money if you dont like oily food much. If youre here first time then just order chelo kebab no starter no dessert side dish only main course and then Write a review on that. Pathetic experience. The service was extremely slow, food was really disappointing and so was the serving portions. They gave me limca when asked for lime soda! Also, i waited 1/one and half hour for my order which was just chicken curry with tandoori roti. And when it arrived, the portion was Just for one person that too provided in broken utensils. Very bad experience. Wont go back again.

I never been tasted such a worst and tasteless food. The only catchy is the ambiance and low price model.We ordered for my all time favorite dish Sizzler ( mixed non veg ) and Peter Cat special Chello Kebbab. Im not sure if the chef and preparation has been changed otherwise how come the rating of this restaurant is so high and this is been well renowned for its Chello Kebbab for quite sometime.However, coming to our experience.. I have posted app food item and the drink I ordered here today. Sizzler dish was absolutely feeling with its full fumes and sounds but the appearance you all can feel I think looks like spicey chicken item. Sizzler and that too tossed with greavy was a real baad idea, we beleive every dish has its unique look and preparation atleast ( taste may differ ), this was disaster for us with the starting. Now, with eagerly and with a huge expectations started for the chello kebbab... my good ness, a kebbab of Chicken stick with onion and capsicum along with 2nos of mutton boti kebbab along with full plate stickey rice tossed with butter and am egg poch... This was not the expectations by looking the Chello Kebbab dish., However taste of the Kebbabs.. I dont know how to describe you can say such stiff and juiceless boneless kebbab with slight sweetish .... THIS IS ALL ABOUT CHELLO KEBBABS....!!!! The snapnfor the dish is also attachedI completely forgot to mention... The drink was served with drinking water glass with road side mixure..😆😆😆...We couldnt eat the food fully due to such bad taste and may be that was expected by the waiters they simply took away the plates without much hesitation..🤣🤣🤣🤣I really look forward for the advises for good taste food over here, cause I wish go once again atleast to prove if I had a real bad luck today or this is what about Peter Cats so called Chello Kebbab

The ambience was great.. they are totally following covid protocols.. seats are separated with glass wall.. all staffs wear masks.. temperature checking and sanitation was also done before entering the restaurant.. and what to say about the food.. it was tasty.. quantity was also good.. worth every penny.. we had chelo kebab and mixed grilled tandoori.. had an amazing experience..

Awesome food and ambience is just next level. Previously when I visited the place, it was very suffocated due to presence of smoke of the sizzler. But now it has improved and we faced no suffocation. There was a wait of about half an hour although we visited on Friday at about 2.00 P.M. We tried the original chelo kabab, chicken steak sizzler and bheti muniyar and each and every food was just awesome and next level, that one cannot make anyone understand by a review, and also it is famous for its chelo kabab and sizzler for more than 20 years. A small I would like to say it that they accept all cards and online payments through wallets and upi. Dineout pay is also accepted. I have an offer in dineout pay and got flat ₹500 off in my total bill.

Sit and dine is allowed.I tried to enter the restaurant many times when I visit park Street but was not possible as there will be a long queue whenever I visit.The signature dish of Peter Cat is Chelo Kebab.It is a complete dish. It will cost you around 450.I would like to tell that the hype regarding the Chelo kebab makes your expectation higher. You make the dish if you like a buttery taste because the dish is full of butter. The kebabs given were not that soft as expected. The ambiance is just amazing and you will definitely love it.Another dish we took was fish makhmali which was really soft. Even the fish haters will love it. In desert, we had brownie with ice cream and melted chocolate which was great in taste and quantity. The service is fast.One thing which I didnt like is that the restaurant is not taking reservations of tables through Zomato pro or dine-in app . We cant book a table even by calling. Hated the part because of the long queue. The restaurant should take booking through app.It is also a family bar cum restaurant hence one can also drink in here.

I am very disappointed with this restaurant. We ordered their famous Chello kebab but when served it was so cold that the butter didnt event melt a little over rice. Also the kebabs were hard, we have to chew & chew & chew to swallow it. When we told them about this, they said thats how it was served. The cloth napkins were also torn in places. Not ever going.

We tried chelo kabab and fish(fried beckty) & chips. The chelo kabab was good, two people can eat it if they take extra rice! The fried fish wasnt great, the fish was not super fresh and the bread crumb coating had soaked too kuch oil, so it wasnt a good experience eating it.

People who lives in kolkata, knows well about Peter Cat. The food is excellent, nothing much to say. They maintain their quality for years. I had a simple chilli fish which is just wow. They give original bhetki and no other things like basa and all. Their famous chello kabab is worth to mention. Pocket pinch is on a pricier side but its worth the quality. Everyone should take some time in their hand and visit this place as their is a waiting time all through the year. The chicken makhmali or may be the malai kabab is just a paradise.

The food is top notch and the ambiance is to die for. There is a decent rush during lunchtime and youd do good to go there before 12:30. Unfortunately the bar was closed when we went there, so better call and ask beforehand.

The famous Chello kebab,was good..the spices were particularly nice with the mutton melting in the mouth. The ambience was the old PARK STREET type which a signature of that area; reservation should be started as one can easily have a waiting period of over 1hr outside the restaurant. Bookings or reservation will take care of the peoples hassle. It is one of the oldest yet maintained restaurants in town..Enjoy!

While some find Peter Cat exceptionally good at continental dish, I have found the restaurant rather considerably dull comparing to its reputation.Food ordered : Chello Kebabs, Chicken Steak, Chicken Irani Kebabs and Virgin Mojito.Reasons being -1. They could improve their seating arrangements.2. Food quality can be improved. We found egg shells in the omelette. However, thats a common mistake.3. The ground floor always remains overcrowded with staff. You might feel uncomfortable talking to others.Over all, I wouldn’t recommend Peter Cat for a nice cozy lunch / dinner. However, I enjoyed the food.

First time visitor here! Finally had the much raved about Chelo kebabs, both chicken and mutton.. They were quite well prepared and cooked.. Taste was pretty good.. I think it all comes down to the whole romance involved in the process of waiting in queue, desperately waiting for your name to be called out in order to actually be able to get a seat here.. And then the famous end product, that is the Chelo, hits your table and makes it worthwhile!

A good place but overcrowded, they definitely need a proper waiting area at least chairs on a holiday specifically on Sundays. The dishes taste quality decreased over the years though. Its not a fine dining yet the dishes are not as per the price sometimes. Probably depends upon the day. Some days the food is delicious some days it just doesnt click.

Decent ambience, fairly close to Park Street Metro. Covid protocols were followed religiously. Went there for the first time recently, maybe the next time the experience would be better. Their special Mutton Chelo Kebabs werent anything special. Baaki if youre a regular, youll eventually find out what suits you. Otherwise, dont eat that. You may have an unlimited meal at Barbeque for the price of that.

It is also a family bar cum restaurant hence one can also drink in here. This is a very old restaurant and offers quality food. You can also try ice cream cola as a refreshing drink. Also sweet lime soda is there. You can reach in here by availing metro railway, the nearest metro station is Park Street. From there it is walking distance of 5 mins, opposite to The Park Hotel.

Been visiting this restaurant since three decades ...there are subtle changes in the food quality and taste now. The famed chello kabab has changed ...no more grilled stuffed capsicum, rice is less, quantity quite less camouflaged by spreading the dish across the plate. The tandoori mixed grill had huge chunks of bone without any meat...again to cover up the dish. Steward intially insisted this is a type of kebab... finally relented and replaced the piece. Taste wise still excellent....but since the last decade we have been steadily patronising other excellent eateries coming up in town. Peter Cat has always been pure nostalgia with sumptuous food ...sad to see it going down steadily compromising with quality and quantity. Not worth the wait time for food veterans like us anymore.

Cant see any cat around the restaurant but mouse goes around the stomach for sure once you enter this place . Named after a cat once used to enter lords cricket ground during 1950s is one of the citys main attraction since 1960. Mutton ran shredded is to die for . And the basic Chello kebab will remain the main attraction .

Loved it as the food here does live up to the hype!Inside the restaurant, the covid protocols were followed properly and all the staff were well equipped with masks and gloves.However outside the restaurant, during peak hours, there is quite a waiting time to get a seat, because of which a lot of people are gathered near the entrance and social distancing is obviously not followed. They took so much time to prepare and serve the food. We had ordered Chichen Bharta and taste was not the good at all( not up to the mark) . Roadside dhabas has better taste than what we have experienced here. We also had ordered 2 butter naan. It felt like they had prepared the naans early just before serving they heat it
