Founded on 21st September, 1909 (as shown in foundation stone), it was the erstwhile headquarters of Shaw Wallace & Company Ltd, the citys oldest liqour supplier.Today it is the headquarters of the UB group in the Eastern region.The building is situated in a very importaant place. In left is GPO, and in front Bankshall Court.The building is well maintained.

This is very historic building. Once it was headquarters of Scottish Alcoholic Company Wallace & Co. Later, in 2008, this Company merged with United Breweries (UB). Presently, this is office of UB.This Building is situated at a very prominent location. Bankshall Court is just opposite to it. Kolkata GPO is at some yards distance from it.The Office of First Land Acquisition Collector, Govt. Of West Bengal is also situated here.
