Bhasa bhavan inside National library premises...it is the main library...

Best place for studying! Has AC , has WiFi, quiet library rooms , good quality tables and chairs.Only problem is that outside books are not allowed here, you have to keep them at the baggage counter but thats a very small problem because theres hardly any book you wont find at Indias largest Library.The library timings are 9am to 8pm on a regular day and 9am to 6pm on public holidays and Sundays.There is a small stall just outside the reading room which serves tea , coffee, biscuits and other snacks.

This is the actual new library building .The building is nicely decorated. Its good.

Huge collection of books... study room is clean..stuff are also helpful...in the reading room u can not carry ur bags or books..there is a another room where your bag and books are allowed... bangali ,Marathi , Assamia....... different language books even magazine available ... helping disk is also halpful ...if u feels trouble to finding any books they helps..in the inside reading u can search any books using computer..there is a small canteen outside the library...

Best place for book lovers and scholars.The National library the main building is being renovated .Due to this reason the section has been shifted to new Bhasa Bhavan.There is a chidrens section on the other side of the same buiding . Children between 5 to 15 years are allowed with their guardian.However the chidrens section is for reading purpose only.Books in English, Hindi and Bengali are available. Also the library is open on all days including Sundays.

Publicly open but you cant visit everywhere of it, being honest enough confusion still bothers me regarding what purpose it really served, the library is currently in the left side of the entrance taking two floors but for the other part of the building I have no idea.
