Kalimpong, earlier a sub-division of the Darjeeling district of west bengal, India, has now become a separate district. It is also a famous tourist spot. Vegetarians may find only one or two pure veg restaurants, it is a trouble for them. People are good here. For a two fay trip, one may go to Kalimpong. Some people also go to Lava, Lolegaon etc in a day-trip from Kalimpong. But, it is advisable, if time permits, one should stay at Lava or Lolegaon as those are very calm and beautiful places. There are two guest houses of west bengal tourism department in Kalimpong....the one at Delo is better.
