Good experience. Though the institute is closed due to the current Covid situation. But the Security person is very helpful.

Teachers are really great and friendly. The ambiance is also nice. Teachers are really supportive and they also look forward to clear students problems as much as possible. There is a library also where students and teachers can read different Deutsch books of different levels. I really loved the institute. I would recommend this institute to everyone for learning Deutsch.

Spent 3 months learning Deutsch. The place is spick and span. The library is well stocked and the food is good. People are willing to help you and the language teachers are one of the best. Visit if you want to learn about the culture of Germany, or learn German.

Goethe institute is the well known place in India for studying German. But the Max Mueller bhavan is more than learning a foreign language. It has a brilliant library with books on German history. My daughter went for a workshop here. They often screen interesting German films. I found the staff here very helpful.

With books ranging from Art and History to German food, they also have a large collection of Audio CDs.The Elegant Interior provides a cosy and energizing learning environment. It also has a small in-house cafe, with marvellous view of Park-Street lanes outside.This three floor facility must be visited once - if not have a chance to study.

Worst place to learn German.I took the 8 live sessions course. In short it is just a fun course, with no intention of teaching German to clear exams.Please stay away from these courses.

The library is very well maintained. Not many people come here so it’s very quiet.The membership charges are 700 for 6 months and 1200 for 12 months. But if you just want to read the books there, it’s free.There is a cafe too.Parking is not allowed in the building but there is parking on the roads.

The institute is the best place to learn German. From the facilities to faculty everything they offer is of premium quality. The classes are super interactive and fun and before you know it you pick up a lot of the language through those activities. The entire course is taught in modules and very neatly designed with the aim of being student friendly. The teachers are extremely helpful, patient and fun. Also with the course you get library membership for free for the course period from where you can take aid for listening and speaking like dvds and audio books. There is also a cute little cafe for your relaxation during breaks.

One of the best place to study in a quiet environment.... If u r planning to start learning German... this is the place where one must go... they have a huge library with separated section for A1 A2 etc... they do have CDs and DVDs for audio books... and the employees there are very polite and well behaved

The place is iconic and I have very fond memories of the time spent at its marvelous cafeteria. It not only teaches German language but introduces young people to love literature, films and arts. It has an excellent auditorium which screens off beat but informative and enjoyable films. Parking has always been a nightmare in this location. Best thing is to walk up to it and enjoy the ambience, coffee and make friends with knowledgeable crowd that gathers here.

The best place to learn German here at Kolkata, nice ambience, humble people around and one of the best cafe for hanging with friends with open terrace.The auditorium is the other part that I want to mention here, excellent one, never new that such a good auditorium could exist within Park Mansion.

The best Foreign Language institution in Kolkata..I have completed A2 from here.Every thing is perfect here.They do role plays they put emphasis on Listening speaking and writing .The teachers are extremely qualified.Every minute is utilised here. It has awesome library and canteen. here you will be deeply indulged in the language.The teachers are highly knowledgeable, methods of teaching is also quite different and scientific...Classes held here give emphasis on all 4 aspects Reading comprehension , Writing, Hearing and Speaking .Classes are very interesting and students have a very good standard in learning. Excellent faculty and facilities with respect to German books,films, music and every facility available for students.

Although it’s a wonderful institution to learn German, but the attitude of the staff here, especially one Neel Ghosh, needs drastic improvement. Neel should be made to kneel down before the students for not only being unprofessional and rude, but also for not sending students information about tests for which students enrol here.

Apart from being the best institution for German language in Kolkata, they also host plays and music concerts throughout the year.

Goethe Institut Kolkata suddenly calls all students and pays back Library Caution money with its reserve of old 500 rupee notes, after they got banned in India. This is illegal.
