Location is good, maintenance is ok but not upto the mark. Behavior of the manager is really very bad, not fit for hospitality industry.*******Reply to Mr. Bhowmiks comment*****See!!! This is the reason I said this gentleman is not fit for hospitality industry. His reply is so full of arrogance. Not staying there in future as many good hotels are available nearby at a better price and with better behaved people.

Hotel was good.Food was ok but very costly.Receptionist person is too rude. Always shouts on their employees and not friendly with us.Answer to ur query: For the cancelled cab i came back and paid 20 rupees to u. Ur reply shows how rude you are to your customers.

Entire Team of 55B is fantastic. They are ability to gey 4 plus star.

If you are tired of staying at regular hotels, this could be the place for you. The property is a multistorey 4BHK apartment belonging to the Basu family (of Jyoti Basu fame) now converted to a homestay. It features very decent, comfortable and clean rooms, courteous and helpful staff and home style food as per your choice. Breakfast is included.Even apart from all of this, its worth mentioning that the star attraction of this place is its location right over the main Gariahat market with the best shopping places and eateries within comfortable walking distance and is still a green and clean residential area without the noise and hustle of a metro city.

Its a good hotel with homely atmosphere. room size is small for the cost I have paid. ideal for business travellers.

Best part about this place is ofcourse the location. The courteous staff and the services make your stay so comfy and memorable. Many boutiques and renowed showrooms, restaurants, cafe and salons are nearby. Gariahat street market is just stone throw away. Food served here is homely and breakfast is complimentary.Lunch and dinner is customizable. Also, flower vendor, ironing facility are all in nearby vicinity

The property is located at good location of South Kolkata. Easily accessible from the Howrah station by Taxi which cost between Rs.400-500. The reception area is very small & lift as well can accommodate only 4 people at a time. CheckIn was quick & Manager advised us to place order for dinner by 7pm if wish to have. For sightseeing he only suggest us book OLA for a day & we did it.Room size was Ok bit compact. They only have two single beds in rooms & when combined creates a gap causing discomfort to people with children. Wash room was clean but lack any exhaust fan which is really a concern.The buffet breakfast is served on second floor.On Election day we placed order for lunch in house as outside everything closed. Food was good but all dishes have little sweet in it which we didnt like. They should inform the guest in advance about this especially for non Bengalis.Overall stay was good & satisfactoryMore

Very Clean Rooms with a common joint hall! Staff are very polite & help you with all your requests/requirements. The breakfast buffet is really delicious! Located in a nice cozy area where everything you need is walking distance. My first trip to Kolkata. Pleasant!

The staff is warm and work on any feedback you give them. The tea and breakfast is really nice. Also it is situated right near the gariahat market....thats the best part of it.The things they could still improve and work on include providing cleaner blankets and more regular washing of the blankets. They also need to ventilate the rooms from time to time during summers specially as the air inside may become stale and stinky.Overall i really like this place as it is quite reasonably priced in a posh area like hindustan park.. which is also a hub for handloom stuff..any shopping lover should absolutely choose this place! And u can always have a relaxing stroll in the lanes which are lined with many trees...The last thing..the router for internet needs to cover greater area cos in some rooms the connection is poor but it works gr8 in the hall where the router is sitting.Finally i would say it is quite homely :)

Decent guest house accommodation with twin bed rooms and a kitchen. Staff is helpful and tries to accommodate requests made even after dinner time. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and modern looking and the main lobby also looks nice. Good guesthouse accommodation

A basic guest house for short stays in the city. Located right off the Rash Behari Avenue and the beautiful and quite Hindustan Park area, the best thing about this guest house is its awesome location. Its walking distance from several awesome boutique stores, cafes and shops.

Nice and clean

Good party hotel when youre with friends, but maybe not the best place if youre hoping for somewhere quiet to stay. The street can get pretty noisy and the rooms are not well insulated for sound. There was also the case of service staff sleeping one room over with the door open and snoring like a jackhammer when we arrived. Facilities-wise, the washrooms left something to be desired (water on the floor when we arrived, missing toilet paper on site, less than desirable smell, etc.) and the beds were pretty stiff (looked like a box with a one-inch mattress over top). Fortunately the AC worked and the common rooms on each floor made great spots to hang out with friends also staying at the place. The staff on site were also very courteous and prompt and theres lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Good spot if you just want to get out and explore the city from a central location.

55B was the best experience I could have. It gives you a homely feel. Bhaumikji and his staff are very co-operative. Food quality is good and its very peaceful. I am going to back again for sure.
