The teachers here hardly do explain any topic rather they copy paste the contents of the book. They have a very bad habit of informing any notice at the 11th hour. atleast they must have that much sense that there are students from outstation who come from places like Hyderabad, Kanpur, Bihar and many other cities. Students are wrongly informed about this college that it a very good college. No dear , let me burst your bubble , its not .i agree it is a very old college and has its brand name.It might have been a good college at some point of time , but now its not.i personally would never recommend anyone to take admission in this college and waste money .i did but wont let anyone else do it..i feel sorry for my parents. The schools playground is really big in which we had morning assembly. It has all the facilities which a student will love to have in her school, from Park to air conditioned auditorium, from temple to swimming pool, big library and all kinda labs (physics, chemistry, biology, maths,Lang, nutrition). It empowers a girl child in true sense. Not only, it also has almost all types of extra curriculum activities and most importantly, free extra classes after school and I am sure, if a child concentrates in class, she wont need any tuitions too...

I have been studying in this school for last 13 years.I took admission in 2005 in class Kg. The school is great. Though its a girls school still we have been given the exposure of the outer world. The school has developed a lot in these years. The changes were more evident after Maam Sangeeta Tandon became the principal. Both the primary and secondary section is good. Teachers are sincere in their job. Many co-curricular activities are there( though one can never learn it completely). The teachers are very casual in these areas. Swimming, French and German department are not good. Karate classes are just for time pass. The clasrooms are moderate. Overall the enviornment for study is good here. Few teachers were always available to us through whatsapp. Till class 10 the life here is bliss.Today whatever I am, I am because of this school. Maam Sarita Bhattacharya I would like to thank you for your support and faith in me. Maam I will miss you. I am not going for the description of the campus as you will get it in many other reviews.Then comes high secondary. Mark my words: may be however good you have heard this school and college is but trust me the science departmemt of Sikshayatan is worst. My worst decision was to study Science here. If you are an engineering or medical aspirant then Sikshayatan is the worst choice you can ever make. I am saying this from my experience. 95% attendence is compulsory here. If you take tution in Fitjee/Akash dont let the teachers know about it ever. It wouldnt be wise to name the teachers but there is one who makes everyones life tough. You will get her as class teacher either in 11 or 12...so you can do anything but cant escape from her. Like the way she will taunt you daily and your parents during ptm is really annoying. I feel there is communication gap between teachers and students. Teachers are unable to impart knowledge to studdnts. If you want to go for Iit/ Aims abort Sikshayatan. HVM is a better choice as it is like a dummy school. I firmly believe that the Science department here needs improvement. Every year they just play with the careers of 80 students.Basically Sikshayatan is good at all stages except Science in class 11&12.Ps: I tried my best to convey the correct senario to the readers.Thank you.
