I didnt know about this place. I was directed here from GPO (Thank heavens!). I sent a parcel to the UK. They obviously opened my package and checked everything. I sent through EMS speed post as I didnt wanna take any risks. They told me it would take at least 15 days but Idk what miracle happened the package has reached the recipient in just 12! I was expecting nothing short of 20 days at least!! Well I would definitely like to say my thank you to Indian post and foreign post EMS. Thank you so much!

I didnt expect any better, they dont get salary well, lets help them to buy clothes and feed them with food... coz their parents forgot to teach them not to steal from others. Oh their parents taught them how to be corrupted and make a big belly

This place dont even deserve one start. First and Worst experience with Indian post. Never going to use its service again. Speedpost is as slow as Turtle. Parcel is in the kolkata office from past 20 days and there is no update regarding the same.

The people are very helpful. My parcel was stuck there but the officers helped me to get it. I will give 5 stars to them.

The staffs are very rude here. The package stays here forever. If you go there to get delivery, they dont entertain you properly and talk very rudely. They work very slow and dont care if your package is delayed or if you want your package urgently. I am highly disappointed by their behaviour. I suggest use private courier services instead.

Please try your best that your parcel does not has to go through this postal office at any cost.They sent back my supplement from USA which I needed very badly, within half an hour after receiving it, because they were lazy to not work through custom process. Ok guys first thing first. My parcel was shipped from china. It reached Kolkata foreign office on the 29/7 and it was there ever since and whenever i checked the status it only showed the same date and the same place(kolakata lcoa) , and on the 23/8 i recieved my parcel in good condition. So jist be patient. It might take between 2-3 weeks.Note:i was gng through all the reviews here when it got stuck in the office. Dont call them or wht just wait . It will reach safely.

I have never in my entire life received a parcel once it reaches Kolkata foreign LCAO office.They dont even have a number. Place three international orders never received even one of them one has been stuck for 8 months.

I had a registered letter coming in from UK which was supposed to be delivered within 5-7 days. Since it was delayed, last tracking status showed that the letter was sent from Delhi DIMC to Kolkata LCAO, but this status was constant for over 5 days. On calling international post numbers in Delhi they kept saying that they had sent the package 5 days back to Kolkata (which was a lie as I found out later!) This made me wonder if somebody was riding a donkey with my letter from Delhi-Kolkata! That could be the _only possible explanation_ for a letter to take more than 5 days to reach Kolkata from Delhi. The Delhi office asked me to check the status at Kolkata. I tried calling various numbers in Kolkata but due to no replies, I was compelled to call the Superintendent, Kolkata Foreign Post who checked at his end and confirmed that the mail had not been delivered to the Kolkata foreign post office yet. He assured me that he will personally take care of this issue and get back to me ASAP. He was extremely polite and seemed to care genuinely. He requested me to wait for a day for him to check what the issue was, to which I readily agreed. However, he called me later on the same day to inform me that the letter (with donkey!) had just arrived from Delhi and so I could come to the Foreign Post office at K.S. Roy Road, Kolkata to pick it up. He arranged for everything and when I arrived to the post office, specifically CED division, all the personnel were very cooperative and handed me the package in 10 minutes. This was AWESOME! Couldnt get a better service at any post office anywhere in the country. 5 star rating for them!

Pray God If Youre Shipment lands here mine is still clearing customs from past 20 days i dont know they working there behalf of us or sleeping in home

I dont know why this office has so poor rating, actually I visited the place in person ofcourse to collect my percel (Window Delivery) employees are cooperative, humble they help you if you have proper information of your shipment, work pressure is intace by looking at the cargo laying on the floor of the office. If you are at Kolkata you can collect your shipment by visiting this place in person but do it as soon as it reaches this post office.

The worst post office ever. They withheld any item which comes from abroad and ask us to visit Kolkata with unnecessary documents etc. Personally I fee that they withheld all the products and sell them in black market or gift them to their near and dear ones.

This is the worst foreign post office. If your post reaches here, be prepared to wait for at least 20 days after the custom clearance. I had instances where my posts reached Chennai foreign post office and the post was at my home in next two days.
