Stayed for couple of nights, housekeeping poor job.There was a lizard in the bathroom.Food quality is good, very limited options for veg in the rooms menu.Breakfast again with limited options.During breakfast we found a hair in the fruits severed in the buffet.Overall not a pleasant stay, definitely didnt felt it is a Marriott or it was 4 star hotel. Should be more like 2 star.There are plenty of different hotels to choose from.Dont recommend!

I was initially little confused about the place due to mixed reviews, but as you now know form the rating, I really loved the place. It had great ambiance, along with some great members of wait stuffs.We were served by Prasenjeet, Rakesh and Rajesh who were exceptionally good.Would definitely recommend this place to anyone else for dining

Food was really good. Staff was very cooperative. Rooms are little smaller but are comfortable. No minibar in room. But you can stuff if needed. Till last week; bar & restaurant had timing restrictions but now you can food & drinks till 10 pm.

I really liked the place. The hotel staffs are good and polite. And they really did help a lot as per any requests. However, my only complaint would be that the morning buffet breakfasts food variety could use a little improvement. While the food was fine, I think the menu should have a diverse platter.

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday party at the mangrove banquet Hall. It was very well maintained starting from them to allow our vendor in setting up the work at the venue beforehand , the food taste n spread n display , the prompt responses to any sort of services was really praise worthy. The chief chef Mr Aurobindo was very kind , cordial and diligent in understanding our menu and did good justice to what we wanted. The event manager Miss Gurmeher was always present in the event and helped us in every possible way.Our experience wasn’t so pleasant rather terrible with a lady named Payal with whom we spoke the first day during bookings.So the first day we go to book the venue she took the booking amount n was sweet n gentle only till then. Next time we go to discuss the menu n do contract signing she is not there and not even bothered to know what is happening. So the second day we go clueless and meet with new set of people n discuss about the events n come back. She dint even have the courtesy to call back n ask what has happened. So the chef asked us to come for tastings and it’s the third time we go there and we call Payal and that day she was present at the hotel . She made us wait around half n hour and finally she sent another new person Gurmeher. So we were like what the hell 3 Days n 3 different people . Where is she ?? So Gurmeher called her n asked her to come but over the phone she is wasn’t ready to come it seems she is busy. Later when we got many doubts in contract terms n rate issues on second time calling she came. She came sat and was so angry on us I don’t know for what? We were asking her our doubts but all her answers were in a sarcastic manner with a frowning look. She finally told us IM not supposed to be there whenever u come for discussion or contract signing it’s not my job, that’s how it works in Marriott. We felt that rude n insulting. We r guests n hosts to organise a party she can’t talk to us this way. She is into hospitality business and this kind of hospitality is a shame or a black sheep to the hotel . Our conservation was on 30 th September afternoon around 2/230 the management can check the CCTV footage to check her attitude and body language.But after so much bad experience we gave 5 star and highly recommend this place for party as rest of the staffs were so cordial and welcoming and always ready to help. We had complained about Payal to management people also as they were known to us. For her we would have given negative star for her unprofessional attitude. So guys if she is there during your bookings kindly avoid her or else she would really harass you and say “that’s how we work in Marriott, what is the agitation about “.Thank you to the entire team. I have been there over a couple of times. Everything is so amazing starting from their amazing welcome gesture, services, ambience, restaurants and various amenities. It is worth a visit whenever I go.

First time in my life I experienced the housekeeping staff not disposing of used plates immediately. Now imagine a narrow walking corridor with both the sides having doors to individual rooms and then u have plates and half eaten dirty left overs lying around. Some with chicken bones etc. lying on floor as well. Also we were two occupants and hotel decided to keep only single unit of everyting in the room. 1 towel, 1 usable things. For everything u need, you had to call them and thats when it was made available. The reason given to us was covid.

Just want to share one more thing that is I ordered 1 cake & hence they did not have the in house bakery they arranged it from WestInn . Really Good , hygiene maintained.

Bit expensive but worth it.View was amazing, but i would suggest not to have food in the hotel because the taste of the food is not soo good. Swimming pool view was very attractive and can take very good picture even at night.

Overall good experience, room was neat and clean , AC tempreture set up device was not working but tempreture of the room was manageable hence didnt report it to hotel , breakfast was good specially South Indian cuisines were delicious however local cuisines and sweets were missing that something as a traveller and staying in different parts and love to explore traditional food of the geography that marriot has to look in to it . quick response , timely service

|| Fairfield Marriott Staycation Review ||We planned for our stay from 19-20th Dec (1 Night). chose the option for 1 Superior Room with Free Breakfast, that costed us Rs.... all inclusive.We were welcomed in a very professional manner and the staffs were very courteous. We had to give a declaration during check-in about our health status and then we were assisted in.Got a room at 6th floor which covers the city view. Cleanliness and sanitization was top notch perfect for this pandemic season.Wonderful city view from a large glass window with super ambience.Poolside was not open due to COVID govt. protocols, but you can sit beside the pool and chill out. Gyms were open for few hours only, and 3 people at a time.They have rooftop bar cum restaurant i.e. Vertex from where you can get a great city view including the metro line and Biswa Bangla Gate. Food at Vertex was not up to the mark as per our opinion.Lunch at Kava i.e. their in house restaurant was bit pricy, but the food was tasty. They have improved the quality of the food here from the previous time and we were pretty impressed. Breakfast buffet at Kava had great variety and live counters. Photos shared in the album. Maintains the Marriott standards. We had hassle-free Check-out and finally went to the cafe alongside Fairfield, Starbucks.Our total expenses for the whole staycation was Rs..../- only! I guess it is totally worth it ! Enjoy vacaying a bit offbeat â ¤ï¸

I want to say that food is okay but we had very bad experience for juice., we get some insect in food and i want to say that we already drink that watermelon juice more than half and also we have pictures for that. Nice Place. Restaurants are well staffed and food is good. There is valet parking available. Staff was hospitable and cleanliness was up to mark. There is a poolside restaurant and also a lounge with hookah parlour and atmosphere was ambient. Also facilitates an indoor gym. Overall a nice place.

Hospitality is good but Food is not upto the Mark.

The Hotel has the accommodation and other related services justifying the brand name of Mariott. But lately it seems that Mariott staff especially the billing counter/ room reservation people have been doing big blunders due to which guests have to face lot of inconvenience. Although this chain of Hotels would be preferred place for people travelling in business tours, from recent experiences dont thinh they provide that kind of value anymore.

Location is very nice and food is awesome. Rooms are a bit small but extremely clean and well maintained.

The rooms are very well decorated the people serving were very good and helping they always answered with a smil e. The service was fast except one instance where it took them 45mins to bring a mojito in my room.We booked a room for two for two days. They gave us the wrong room from reception where there was already someone staying it was not a big issue for us. Secondly there was no doormat present . Third was the washroom its too small and the jet spray was very tough to handle we barely managed to use it. Fourth was there was a delay in service of providing cutlery they took 1 hour for it and the thing which I found should really be told to clients is that the big window glass was transparent anyone can see through it day Or night.

Worst experienceThe waiters in the bar were unprofessional in behaviour and lacked basic ethics and committed unfair practices like serving cheap rum after 2-3 pegs of whiskey even though we specifically said whiskey . Moreover theres no point of advertising unlimited poring when you wont give more than 30ml in a single peg.The way waiter spoke to me when i asked then why did he serve me rum after 2-3pegs of whiskey when i specifically said whiskey and asked him to increase the quantity in my peg he answered me like he owns the whole hotel chain.Ha said kinta piyega ,90mins time hai ,ulti kariga toh 1800rs lagega +gst Not cool broWorst experience

Im amazed by my stay at the hotel along with the well mannered staff. The rooms are very clean, breakfast buffet is top notch and all of their services are great. Im happy and will return back for my stay. I didnt click many pictures because I wanted to enjoy my stay, stay away from my phone. Worth it!!

Today, in all probability, was the 5th time I visited the place as an in-house guest within a years time. When checking out from the room we pre-paid at check-in, I returned the keys and received the weirdest is there anyone in the room? I answered the retarded question with a no and when waiting for my car to arrive, the receptionist runs to me with the most embarrassing question is your room paid for? Its in the system, and I would expect an employee working for the hospitality domain to be positioned to check such details. It was extremely embarassing for me, and worst, the guy never even realized how terrible of a fit he is in the industry. What concerns me further is had I actually not paid, would my yes suffice for truth?

The time of check in I didnt experience good too much creepy question from the team. Very limited varieties of food and the food was extremely oily which is completely unhealthy. In the room theres no hand sanitizer and protective kits which is very important in this covid 19 pandemic On the other hand they apologize for the trouble So it was fair enough and its good stay. Hope in future they will imprôve thé service.

Prosenjit nad Rajesh were the best service guy I have ever come across.I have stayed in many hotels due to work and this was one of the best so far.Thanks to those amazing guys and also to all those who used to come for the room service. Tried the restaurant kava for lunch buffet. Foods really nice. Staff are polite and pleasant.There werent too many options in veg starters n desserts, but when the staff knew about us being pure vegetarian, they gave special serves. Got to experience staff Ritika, Binita, Rajesh n chef at live counter. Appreciate your efforts.Layout can be improved since it got little crowded around the buffet area and tables near it.

Service quality as per the Marriott Fairfield chains. Food quality ( only had breakfast buffet) was good but the menu was repetitive and the Chef Specials were juvenile and at best comical. Definitely recommend for staying if you need a good upscale lodging in Kolkata!
