A very good place for Chinese lovers. All the dishes I tried was very good. The ambience was nice. We had to face long wait for the food to arrive after ordering.

Love their food, specially the pan fried chicken... but its little expensive especially the cold drinks.. they serve so little quantity but charges a huge.. anyway I like chowmans food...

The foods are quite expensive, quantity is manageable, but I did not feel the authenticity of Chinese cuisine in their dishes.The interior is meditating and relaxing. The food could have been better in taste, quantity and authenticity.

I will go by points on what I liked about them. The first is the gesture of greeting you and making you feel comfortable in the restaurant.The second would be giving you enough time to select order. Brilliant chineese food outlet in sodepur. This was something missing in this area. This caters to barrackpore, ichapur area foodies. The noodles are a must for everyone coming to chowman. The taste is truly asian. Must try atleast once. Hope the service improves a bit, food is awesome.

Very nice and comfortable atmosphere in this sodepur branchrestaurant.. Like all branches.. And food quality was very good... Some time need a small rectified a mistake like food quality... Two time i order some kinda food bt its very bad smelly... Bt yes not all time only two times.. I always wanted to eat octopus But I cant..resturant also unavailable some times..but now my dream come true..in seafoos festivals i eat two typ dishes of octopus...and i really really satisfied..But overall its best chinese restaurant I saw ever... We a family of three, went here on last Saturday (04/09/2021) night. As this was a Saturday we waited there for 20 minutes, which is fine. Ordered... served... We were penultimate customer although 4 tables including us were full when we were dining.... Meanwhile, after serving our waiter vanished, no one is there to serve the rest amount and look at our table. My wife asked the waiter of another table to get the rest served to our plate who was not willing to serve it as this was extra work for him, we started serving ourselves. Our waiter should assign another guy for our table if he is leaving for some emergency reason. This is certainly not what we think about Chowmans hospitality. Waiters made the place deserted but four tables were on. As this was closing hours but all of us sitting there were customers. Was this our fault that we became among the last customers . Good food but felt insulted. Chowman Actually degrades its quality in this Northern suberb of Kolkata... Very Sad

We have to wait for 30min bcz of saraswati pujo. After entering first impression was like wowww. Very peaceful ambience with soft music. Food was very tasty and quantity was pretty decent. It can be shared between two people. Amount seems to be a little expensive. Approx 800 for two.

Nice ambience, tasty food and good service. Tried manchow soup, chicken momo, mixed fried rice, chicken manchurian, chilli chicken and Chinese chopsuey. The price is also very reasonable.

Nice and cosy ambience.. Hygiene maintenance is superb! They are providing disposable cups and dishes to the guests and charging very nominal for this(Only 25 rs per guest). Taste was good but should be improved! Dishes seemed bit overpriced to me .Quantity was sufficient.parking area should be improved

1. Food quality is great. Specially the pork item. I would suggest everyone to try pork at this restaurant. I want to give 5 star rating for the food of the restaurant.2. Big salute to the security for a wonderful welcome, and see off.3. But the most pathetic experience is the staff behavior. How could they behave frustrated with their customers? So rude, didnt respond some time. They are not ready to suggest about the food of the restaurant to their customers. My friend ask about dineout pay to one of your staff, he just ignored her. Is this your hospitality? I dont know about other branch, I mainly highly sodepur branch only.

Welcome to New Normal and Chowman at Sodpur has embraced it. They offer contactless order, disposable plates & spoons in the time of Covid-19. Food quality remains same, as good as before and I guess 98% dishes are available except few under desserts.

One of the better places to dine in , with its range of menu going beyond 200, I find lamb with oyester sauce , sea food fried rice and soups to be very delectable here .space is a concern if you go with a gang more than 8/10 people , waiting time could be more than normal. else chowman will not disappoint you with its food.

I went to the place on 6th of July.Loved their sanitisation process which was although a bit tedious,but worth the wait.I ordered my favourite Schezwan Noodles which really tasted good.Although,its flavour could be tried and brought out more.The food was a bit less for the price,but it tasted quite nice.I wanted a bit faster service,but again it is okay.It would have been really great if the lighting was a bit better.Rest,everything was pretty appealing.They are good with their staff service,and they provide optimum quality services,which are not solely limited to food.The decor that matches with the food really sets the ball rolling.Would definitely visit again.

Great experience, during puja we expected a long wait, but the wait was worth it, we ordered Roasted Chilli Pork, Chicken Drumsticks, Chowman fried rice, chicken thai green curry and Thai mixed noodles. All the food was amazingly prepared, both quantity and quality was Supperb, no complains and amazing hospitality as well.

I ordered mixed fried rice and kumpau chicken.I love this taste of the food.Quality and quantity both were great and enough for two.I tried this kumpau chicken for the first time,it was really delicious and yummy.Chicken were so soft.There were 12 piece of chicken.I ate all.I love to eat this food.

I have always been a fan of Chinese food. And Chowman has been one of the leaders in the casual dining scene. Earlier I had a really good experience at Chowman Sinthi, so was very hopeful about their Sodepur outlet.I chose my anniversary evening and considering the fact there were not so many dining option in Barrackpore, Chowman Sodepur was a wise choice.At the entrance, I was told that they have replaced their cutlery with disposable ones and hence would charge INR 25 per guest. I found that absolutely fine considering the pandemic situation.The ambience was quite expected but the way hygiene was taken care was something really commendable. Everyone was following the safety norms which made me very comfortable able the food.I ordered Roasted chilli pork, Crispy honey fried wonton and Honey glazed pan fried chicken with lemon as starters.The service was quick and the food was delicious. The crispy wantons were a little too sweet as per my taste but I was already warned by my server for the day.In the main course, we ordered Mixed Chilli Garlic Noodles, Chowmans special rice and Kung Pao chicken.The food was extremely delicious and the portions were enormous.Really loved the fact that the disposable cutlery was not cheap plastic and did its job of cutting or holding the meat very well.All in all, it was a satisfactory trip to one of my favorite chain in Kolkata

One of the best Chinese/Japanese/Thai cuisine restaurant. Items are perfectly cooked/decorated & served. Very tasty. Pork , thai green curry, squids, lobster,crab lots of exotic dishes are available, which I loved the most. Optimum price. Located on B T Road, sodepur, easy to find.

Awesome food with great ambiance. I love the music played here. Soft bamboo flute which was traditional Chinese music. Food is absolutely great. I started with some common Chinese items such as Chicken Momo, Spring roll and chicken soup. Ah!! Food is really awesome. Later I have ordered chicken lolipop. Its was 8 pieces and taste is good. What I would suggest is to have different type of sauce with different foods.

This is an authentic place chinese recipe. Foods are very delicious. One can also take away or get delivered of given orders. They have an app in Google play store and Apple store through which one can order food and get delivered at home. One can also order via Zomato and Swiggy home delivery. In this cover situation they haven taken all necessary precautions for customers. Even one can get informed about the health data of the cooks.

Food excellent. Best chinese serving restaurant in my area. And the cherry on the top is their behavior. I just visited the place yesterday and how polite they were. Starring from the Door guy. To the person who was taking order and serving. Then who gave us bill. The floor manager. Every one of them was excellent. Loved their behavior.

A good restaurant to enjoy with family and friends. I visited first time to have dinner with my family on my daughters birthday. Variety of dishes. Professional staff. Good taste reasonable price but I thing they can look into quantity which I felt little less when compared to price we paid.

I really loved the ambience. It was love at first sight 😍!The decor and the music took me to Japan in a jiffy!Very systematic arrangement of tables and seats which are comfortable too! The staffs were very co-operative and well mannered and well behaved as well!Coming to the food - Squid is a must try for anyone! Any variant.Thai Jatt noodles{something like that} is a recommendation (its flat noodles).Also loved TOM KHA SOUP.Price is very reasonable !

The only authentic Chinese food place in sodepur

When we went to have quick bite, the security guard said there was a meeting going on and we werent allowed. Also, his behaviour was rude.When I asked for a quick stroll to the washroom h riding allow. I know I am here to give a review of the food mostly, but when its customer service based work, being insensitive is really not worth it. But well, good luck with the food, as we couldnt taste it. The meeting went on for as long as we waited. There was a couple, who also left, before us. Its one of my worst experiences.

A very decent place for a family dinner. A friendly smile greets you at the door and you are guided for being seated. Every guest is checked for temperature and hands are sanitized. The disposable plates are great, however the sight of plastic spoons are a turn off. Maybe edible or wooden spoons can be a bit eco friendly.The portion size for every dish is decent and even the taste is indeed great.Hoping to visit the place again.
