Paramount is said to be the heaven for juice lovers. There are variety of juices. The main attraction in Paramount is the Dub Sarbat, coconut juice. It may seems to be over priced, but you will enjoy it for sure. As I am writing this review on 4th October of 2021, the price now is 100 rupees. I tried the Kesar Malai and that was really good in taste. There was so much cashew (crushed) inside the glass. Try to avoid the spoon. The more you use the straw, the more you enjoy.

Paramount Cold Drinks and Syrups is a 100+ yrs old sherbet and juice bar located off Kolkatas boi-para (book colony), College Street.This is a small shop with limited seating arrangement. The shop is always crowded and you many need to wait for seating. But you can enjoy you drink by standing even.Paramounts Dab Sherbet is widely regarded as the most refreshing and delicious cooler ever. Other then this Kesar Malai, Mango Mania, Cream Lassi are some popular drinks in this shop.The address may not ring a bell immediately among the average Bengali but this is the place where Baghajatin and his boys would raise a storm over sherbet glasses, Netaji would discuss the future of Azad Hind or Nazrul would give words to his rebellious thoughts.During pre-Independence days, there was a secret den behind the shop where the revolutionaries would meet and hatch plots. The hideout now serves as the workshop for churning out the vintage syrups. The British didn’t have an inkling of the goings-on inside the place until 1934 when the shop, then called Paradise, was closed down. Months later, Nihar Ranjan (who had opend the shop) reopened it and named in Paramount.

Too much worst drinks.... Taste is soo horrible🤮, too much overpriced, in lassi curd floating just like Iceberg..Totally wastage of money

The oldest juice and sarbat outlet of Kolkata , and the Dab Sarbat is the most famous item of the shop , its popularly worldwide and its taste awesome . This outlet is situated at college st. Opposite of college square .From netaji.subash chandra bose to Sourav Ganguly and many many huge personality visited this place .

The Dab sarbat is over priced.. They charged 80 rupees for 1 Dab sarbat.. The glass of the sarbat is full of ice.. If you do not take ice you have charged 5 rupees extra.. Also the kesar malai juice is full of ice, there is one cashew and a little bit of chocolate.. They charged it for 130 rupees..Disappointing..But 2 years ago I visited this place.. Then the price was reasonable..

One of best place in Kolkata for juice & refreshing drinks. This place is filled with traditional history & cultural heritage. More than 100 years now it stands with lots of history.

Some say Paramount overcharges! And theyre right...One Daab Shorbot at 80 rupees offers half the quantity of water inside an average size coconut, which costs around 30 rupees..We had Mango Lassi, which again is nothing worth the hype.

Love this place. During my college days, we friends used to visit this place. Till date, whenever am around College Street, I make it sure to visit this place. They serve their drinks (ofcourse non-alcoholic) with utmost love, Sharbaat, Smoothie, Lassi are a few to mention. Tastes awesome as of yet.❤️

This place is a nostalgia. Visited again after 7years.

I had dub sarbot and cream green mango.Both are not upto mark as well as not equivalent to price. Both are full of ice cubes which degrades the taste. Tables was not clean.Before going that place I was so much excited, but I left with a bad experience.You people can have far better juices on the road side juice stations with a very minimum price.

Ya juices and shakes are nice but the cost doesn’t justify the prices

I have tried Dab Sorbot and it tastes like heaven 😍 try it. But its location given in Google map is little bit confusing. You have to go towards college square and Paramount is located just opposite to its gate.

A famous sherbat (juice) house is located in college street area. It is also a old juice shop in kolkata.

Some aspect is not really enjoyable with enjoying a glass of Sharbat on a hot summer evening...a lot of crowed... plastic, cheap looking glasses...moreover you have to take it to garbage can outside of the shop on your own...that too after paying for a glass that is not very cheap...all these will not make an ebrniev very enjoyable

A great place to have some quality drinks and sharbat. Place is quite cramped and will feel claustrophobic, but the drinks are really great. Especially the kesar, malai and fruit drinks are great in taste and you can bring your family here. The seats too are small.Overall a nice place to enjoy quality drinks. Price is reasonable or slight premium.

Very famous and traditional juice / drinks corner.Now a days, it becomes way costly and quility is also degraded a bit. You can see tons of iceberg on the top of the glass. Not very spacious also. Do taste different flavors like passion fruit, daab , mango, badaam etc.

Historic place, Dub sarbat is there one of the renowned sarbat which tastes really good.

Cream green mango

They are so irresponsible that even now they put loads of ice in their drinks. This increases the chance of throat infection & COVID. Ice is also a diluter of drinks. Pathetic business ethics.

The Paramount store is a very old-fashioned store. As soon as you enter the shop, there is a big bound list on the left. It says some special personalities went there and the first one whose name is written to me is emotional, only that name is the last word. He is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.Then lets talk about syrup. I ordered two syrups.Keshar Malai (price 120 rupees) in one word nectar.And dab sherbet (price 60 rupees) is quite like to eat.However, the prices of sherbet seemed higher to me here.Those who really love to drink sherbet, they can go here once, I hope you will like it.One of the rules I liked very much is that you have to put your glass in the dustbin after drinking the syrup.
