The location is the best, if u want to shop and stay around Esplanade. The building is old but maintained good for the age. I didnt like the ventilation and its little gloomy inside. The staffs are slightly confused if the hotel is 5 star or 2 star and hence the service varies..

Good Place to stay in main Esplanade Market, near to all main markets- Burabazar. However, given its 4 star category, one also must not expect Swimming Pool and Spa Services.Oceanic Restaurant is a must visit there.

Its been 15 long years, since I have been visiting to Kolkata, essentially My priority Always would be to get a Room in this hotel. Truly, its a excellent and a fantastic hotel. Hospitality is exceedingly good, and moreover, every residing guest in this hotel is being well taken care of.Its location is very Good, being located in the central Kolkata its been very convenient for business people to move around, so easily and conveniently.

This is a very old hotel situated in esplanade area in Kolkata. They are a 3 star hotel with all standard amenities. The general buffet is very tasty and what stands out is the service provided. Their in-house restaurant called Aheli is one of best places for an exclusive bengali cuisine. If you want to showcase quality bengali food to some foreign national then this is the place I would recommend without a hesitation.

Peerless Inn is on a busy street at a very desirable location if you are into local cuisine and affordable shopping.We booked the Premier Room in October 2019 for 6 nights as we got a good deal on Agoda and paid around INR 31,000 which is a steal.The whole vibe that you get when you enter the hotel, the lobby, the corridors, the rooms, the curtains, is that it is dim, old, musty and wet.Thats just the smell you get, the carpets look faded and dirty like they havent been vacuumed very well. The bedding and towels do not give a fresh smell either.The room we got was small for the price I paid, we got our room in the supposedly newer building and not the main building, which is fine but still the room was a great disappointment, one light fixture beside the bed didnt work, the tv was tiny and remote didnt work. We didnt get complementary water bottles daily, and on requesting, we got them very delayed.The bathroom was small, and the corner tiles were dirty, shower floor had grime and the hair dryer did not work.The breakfast was complementary for the room we booked and the buffet had an everage spread, with live counters, we enjoyed the novelty factor as it had a fresh menu daily, but again the restaurant seating area was conjested and the cloth on seats looked pretty old and unclean.In room dining as expected wasnt that great for the price they charge, and it is completely unnecessary when you can get literally 1000+ eating options outside the hotel as it is situated in Esplanade, which has a lot of good eating spots!

Had ilish thali - excellent taste. Bengali Kosha mangsho and freshly made phulko luchi was very very good. Gondhoraj lebu. Nice simple bengali table decor. Lobby is small but cosy. Had adda with coffee. Good service everywhere.

With friendly staff but not friendly management, Peerless Inn sit quietly and serving its guests. My first experience right after they opened for business with limited no rooms was far better than what it’s now. They have lost their cleanliness and pride. Requesting management to pay more attention to details and provide some standard linens and towels for their guest.

It is near esplanade metro. I went here for official Lunch. My office have paid approx 900 per head for lunch. But for 900 that meal was not good. Simply i can say, meal was just okay not much good.

The Jasmine banquet is a lovely place on the 2nd floor of the Peerless Inn old building for a gathering of 100 person. It is open to air with option for a bar. You can arrange the buffet in the inside space. Food could be better, but service is really good and support staff are very courteous.

This is an old 4 star hotel situated ar prime location of kolkata. There is a new wing and old wing and both are connected by aero bridge. Old wing rooms look dated but are bigger in size with carpeted floor and better view. New wing has rooms with modern interior and has ceramic floor tiles and no view from room. The windows have tinted glass. Room finishing is of average quality like a regular 3 star hotel. Room and linen were neat and clean. Bathroom was clean too. Fridge was not working which could not be rectified in my 2 days of stay inspite of reminders to the front office. In room dining is very expensive. The food quality is good. The morning breakfast was good. The front office is not professional in their approach and doest impress at all. The location is main advantage of this property and rest is like a average 3 star hotel.

Hospitality will delight you. The food will strike a chord with your taste buds. The rooms in its new building are better than the ones in old building. So, go for a room in the new building.

I have stayed at this hotel 2 days per month for several years. This is an older hotel that is very well kept and superbly managed. They have held the same room for me most of the time. In my experience they really care for there patrons and do the best they can to accomodate their needs. The location is excellent; close to freeways

Post Covid this hotel has very low footfall. So theyve shut off the new annexe building. They first gave us a room that was quite pathetic - it smelt of old carpet, bathroom fittings were broken and old.However, when we complained, they promptly changed our room to a renovated one.Breakfast was modest and not a spread as the good ol days.

What one wants in a hotel stay is a good hospitality..cordial staffs..clean rooms..clean bathrooms..prompt room service and last of all good food. I am very sorry to say i have been disappointed in many ways. Rooms were well maintained but staffs were a little hostile and unprofessional. Speaking of bathrooms..the shower area had a broken water tap and also drains were getting clogged. Food is very much overpriced and did not meet my expectations. The amount as well as the quality were very much poor. They charge you money..a little more than a decent one and dont offer you the basic necessities. No wonder why their rooms remain empty!

We checked into this hotel on 25th December and being located in the city center, places around the hotel were jam packed with people.Hotel is conveniently located in Esplanade and just a walking distance away from the metro station.Hotel is walkable distance away from famous shopping market like New Market and Park Street where you can get a whole lot of items.We have booked a normal queen bed room but due to some reason, thanks to the authorities, we got a free upgrade to a suite room. The room size is massive and once you get into the room that royal feeling you can experience. A 2 bedroom Suite is fully equipped with a whole lot of amenities and the rooms were very neat and clean.We have included MAP meal plan for our stay and had lunch in Oceania restaurant located on 1st floor of the building. It is a multi cuisine restaurant where buffet usually being served and some items you can also get from the live counters.Besides there is an another restaurant Aaheli, a Bengali cuisine restaurant, where a whole lot of Bengali food is being served.Staffs were very generous and friendly and always helped us with a smiling face.Overall a great Christmas day spend in Peerless Inn . Thanks a lot for making our day special and remembering.

Its place near Esplanade bus stand and a few minutes walking distance from Eden Gardens . Great place for Bengali foods like rice with different curries . Fishes of different types are served here like Hilsa, Prawn, pabda , vetki , Katla etc . Chicken and Mutton kosha are also served . Food is served with great care in bright utensils.. But price of each dish is very high so one middle class family cant afford it . If you have enough bucks so this is a must visit . Enjoy ..
