The food preparation was made well keeping the flavours on point as well as the serving portion was satisfying.

Its an ideal place for Biriyani lovers.They served mouthwatering, delicious and yummy dishes.I had tried Hydrabadi biriyani , Dum pukht biriyani and Pardah biriyani.I would highly recommend Hydrabadi biriyani and Pardah biryani to give try.The muttons in the biriyani are well cooked and soft.They are also maintaining proper hygienes necessary in this current pandemic situation.Overall,I had a very good experience in this place.Its an ideal place for lunch or dinner with your family and friends. Pujo Ashche...aar matro 7 days!!Shaam-e-Awadh is a casual dine in restaurant at Kalikapur which is serving some delicious mughlai food. They also have some Chinese dishes on their menu which are equally good. Comfortable sofa seating with yellow lighting and white decor is the perfect ambience to set your mood. You can enjoy yourself with your friends and family as the pocket pinch isnt too high. I tried their Pujo special menu and thoroughly enjoyed it.✓Fresh lime soda - Pretty well made!! A good start to a have meal.✓Angara murgh - The kebabs were juicy, soft and flavourful. The kebabs were not spicy yet delicious in taste. Totally loved this one!✓Red chilli pepper dry - This chinese preparation of chicken was something I would recommend. A fiery spiced chicken lightly coated in batter and crispy fried with bell pepper, onions and chillies. Loved it!!✓Chicken chaap - I liked the subtle flavour of the chaap, mildly spiced with a rich creamy gravy. It wasnt too oily and hence light on the stomach. You can pair it with any Indian bread of your choice.✓Masala Kulcha - The kulcha was well stuffed with masala and can be shared since it is quite heavy.✓Hyderabadi biryani - The Hyderabadi style biryani is generally prepared with a lot of spices and has a strong aroma. However, here the biryani wasnt over spiced. The mutton pieces were soft and tender. Generally I dont like mutton, however I relished this one.✓Dum pukht biryani - Another mutton biryani preparation, which is light and flavoursome. Loved the mutton pieces which were meaty rather than reyazi.✓Pardah biryani - The biryani is covered with a dough and then put on dum. Its a chicken biryani preparation and the meat was juicy. Light flavours and subtle taste makes it a good preparation.✓Firni - This firni was really good. Not too sweet yet creamy and rich. Delicious way to end the meal!They are delivering through Swiggy and Zomato. These are few of the dishes which they are serving for their pujo special menu. Ive been here a few times since last year so lets talk about it.Speaking of Ambience, the place is a spacious destination w/ comfy seatings & a pretty decor. Tables are usually meant for Large groups so accommodation shouldnt be an issue. Service is quick & good too.Coming to Food, I love their Hyderabadi Biryani & Pardah Biryani. Also, their Kebabs have always been a favourite, Angara Murgh being a recommendation. The Chicken Chanp too, is a constant & goes well w/ almost everything.

The ambience is good just it should have had a facility of light music with a retro touch. The food items were good and the staffs were well trained and were well equipped with the knowledge about the items. So its a must visit place to have a taste of awadhi dishes.

It can accommodate 35-40 people approximately 😊The exact location of this restaurant is two minutes walking distance from Abhishikta near Kalikapur!The menu is typically Awadhi food as the name suggests, with a few other North Indian delicacies as well. Go for a Nawabi Platter of all kinds of kebabs if you are there in a large group for a brilliant start to your meal. The Changezi Kebab is a big chunk of mutton chop which is marinated in yogurt and other spices and then grilled. It is a mildly spicy kebab. While the city was dipped in pithepulis, I was in a low mood from late afternoon. During such times, venturing out into the street works best, and that too with some good food ;-)Shaam-e-awadh was our choice for the evening. Located at Kalikapur , this is a neatly decorated place with Mughal / Awadhi cuisine.We had Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani and Murgh Kali Mirch. Service time was little longer than usual, considering the place was almost empty. But the food was great in taste, both the dishes were soul satisfying. Biryani was having two succulent mutton pieces and enough rice quantity for 2 persons- different in taste than your usual Kolkata biryani. The chicken side dish was masaledar and complemented the biryani well. Would love to revisit for trying something new again.

So, I was there at Shaam-e-Awadh for their one year celebration with Great Awadhi Biryani. These Biryanis are especially made keeping the your taste and preferences in mind. They have wide range of seven Biryani.They are:1. Noormahal Biryani2. Tandoori Twist Biryani3. Gandharaj Mahi Biryani4. Mezbaani Nalli BiryaniIn veg you have:1. Kathal Kachhi Biryani2. Awadhi Keema Veggie BiryaniOut of all my favourite was the Noormahal Biryani . It was made with pieces of meat kofta. They were juicy and soft.Another mention is Tandoori Twist Biryani, the whole Biryani smelled buttery and the meat was so well cooked that it was falling of the bones.This place is must visit. Do drop in to try their lip-smacking Biryani.

Ambience is good(except their wide screen TV which they use to watch old days action movie).Keema biriyani is special dish you can try there. After taking the first spoon of biriyani you must say yummmmm :).You can also try several kebabs which are very juicy and taste also....

A relatively new place located on Prince Anwar Shah Road, near Kalikapur. The interior decor and ambience is beautiful, and the quality of food they offer is superb! If you love Mughlai and Awadhi dishes, this place is a must visit.

Its a so so place in terms of ambience but non veg food is good.Currently sizzlers festival is on in Shaam -e- Awash and its tasty.A bit costly for sure but its ohk for once in a while

This is located on Prince anwarsha road connector and very near to kalikapur. The restaurant is on 1st floor suddenly you may not see it. The place is well decorated and environmental is quite good. Its pure family restaurant with no alcohol options. We tested some kabab starters and biriyani. Taste of the foods are really good and staffs are also very cooperative. Nice place to be there for muglai dishes. Average food price 300+. You should definitely try faluda.

Nice ambience, good, polite and courteous staff. Food is really good. I tried the galhouti kebab, chicken rahra with garlic naan and the Hyderabadi dum pukth biryani and all the items were good. Portion size was okay. Priced very appropriately, it is value for money and worth it.

Excellent ambience and decor especially for a place situated in Kalikapur. We had Mutton Galauti kabab, the best dish, Ulta tawa paratha- excellent , murgh chapli kabab quite good and mutton kakori kabab which was Ok. We had murgh kacchi biryani which was average. Chicken rara was quite good. Keema mutter was average. It was paired with Kashmiri Nan which was supposed to be sweet, but didnt expect it to be laced with jam. The desserts were brilliant- Badami phirni and kulfi which were delicious and extremely well made. Thanks to Zomato Gold I had one dish free. Total meal cost 2.5K

This is a awadhi restaurant near kalikapur. Ambiance is quite good. The taste of the food is decent. Bt as per the price range the quantity of the food is need to be improved. We have ordered murgh angar kabab, Hyderabadi mutton handi biriyani and mutton rogan josh and cheese garlic naan. All the items were good except the cheese garlic naan. Tooo much garlic was in it that taste this food bitter.

Nice and spacious restaurant. I had ordered Kolkata Murgh Biryani and Murgh Bharta. The taste of biryani was good but Bharta was somewhat not as good as expected given the price they are charging.

Quantity is more than enough. Not so pocket friendly, especially considering a restaurant in Kolkata. Top class service by the staff. Few of the seating arrangement can be made better. Zomato Gold is available which makes it an advantage.

Most third class restaurant ever... The quality of biriyani is very poor. The taste was so bad and the mutton piece was also so bad and wastage of money. Dont go there atleast save that money and give it to some poor people.

The food here was amazing. We had one biriyani and 2 items of chicken. The price is medium to high but its money well spent as all the food was delicious. The service was pretty good too. The one thing that we faced problem with was the parking. There was no good parking space for our bike so i wouldnt recommend parking right in front of the restaurant. You can park your vehicle slightly ahead or behind.

Shaam E Awadh - A unique experience.Shaam E Awadh is located in kalikapur area and has been serving quality mughlai food to its patrons in the city of joy. I had visited it after almost a year to try out their pujo special menu.What I really enjoy about their restaurant is that it has its own charm and is decorated in a unique way. I like their yellow cutleries and love how they serve the biryani in earthen pots. It has a large seating capacity as well.Nonetheless, out of the pujo menu, my personal favorites would be:1) Angara Murgh - This is one of their starters and trust me, it just melts in your mouth. It is quite succulent and full of flavors. Highly recommended.2) Red Chilli Pepper Chicken Dry - They have added this on the pujo menu as a Chinese starter as maybe if people demand for the same. I somehow liked it as well.3) Pardah Biryani - The Chicken Pardah Biryani was quite subtle and good to taste. It is served in an earthen pot.All in all, their food is good quality and quite balanced.

Shaam E Awadh has re-opened after lockdown and now it is back with some Chinese variations too.And not too forget they were already dominating the biryanis over here.Coming to the first we hopped on to the their chinese starter, The red chilli pepper chicken dry. Which was really spicy and I really enjoy hot and spicy food, so I loved it. It had a smell of wok and char to it making giving it a vibe of a street style.Angara Murgh : Really tender, juicy and the malai was soaked well till inside, making it flavourful. 4 pieces are served in a plate.Chicken Chaanp : Usually we have oily and spicy chaap everywhere, but this was different from that. It had mild flavours and less oil. The gravy was thick. And I thouroughly enjoyed it with the masala kulcha. Also it would go well with dum pukht biryani.Biryanis : We had three biryanis here. Firstly, mutton hyderabadi, then dum pukht and lastly the pardaah biryani (chicken). One striking thing will be that the mutton was very soft that it just melted in my mouth. I personally loved the hyderabadi biryani the most. It was light, flavourful and the garnishing was top-notch.The rice from the dum pukht and pardaah biryani were more or less similar. Medium spicy. Long basmati rice. Tastes great with/without chaanp. The handis serve for two easily here.The ambience is definitely top-noth. They have taken all the safety measures and adopted sanitizing methods too. The staff is very courteous and professional. They have a large television to watch match also.Sitting arrangements for about 40-45 people.

Biryani is a must try. Ive tasted all available flavours of biryani here. Its awesome. However would suggest to not go for Chinese cuisine.

Honestly the people whove rated this place highly must have lost their taste buds! Each and every item was so horrible. Decor is good and music too but nothing beyond that is good. Waiters wear dirty white shirts, stand so close to your table almost like theyre trying to eavesdrop!Ok so for starters we ordered stuffed chicken leg and it was so horrible. The very first bite and I knew the chicken is not fresh. It smelt stale and the chicken keema inside was so bare minimum and not salted well!Then came the mains, chicken bharta, dal makhni and garlic naan. Well dal makhni smelt and tasted of raw garlic and heaps of tomatoes. Again lacking salt!The chicken bharta was nothing but shredded chicken in a gravy of masala chicken! There was no creamy texture to the dish at all and had excessive amount of garam masala. I know the dish should have boiled eggs in it too but looking at the ratio of egg to chicken I was a little confused if they mistook my order for egg bharta! The naan was ok but texture felt like papad.Worst part is none of their salad vegetables are fresh. We were served onions dipped in vinegar. It smelled so off that we complained and in reply we were told its in vinegar for the past 2 days or so! Imagine my reaction at that moment! All the salads and chutneys were cold, which basically means made way in advance and stuck in the freezer!Please do not eat here.

Extremely rude front desk staff behavior completely ruined dinning out experience. We decided to leave without dining after waiting in line for 1 hr with hungry kids.The restaurant owner should strongly reconsider who he/she employs to represent his/her restaurant as a handful of them (Mr. Shubrito and Mr. Nilanjan) are anything but concerned about your paying customers and are disrespectful to your other employees.

Good mughlai restaurant. Can get different options for biriyani like Kolkata biriyani, handi biriyani, dumpukht biriyani, hyderabad biriyani, etc. Situated right on the Prince Anwar Shah connector road, overlooking the main road. The ambience is nice too and a clean washroom.
